I hate myself

I can’t handle my emotions. I’m weak and stupid and can’t help but overreact to every single thing in my life. Today I got home after long shift and locked my keys in my car and my home was completely locked. Normal person would be like darn let’s figure this out. Me? No. I start screaming no and fuck and just angry yelling. Then I decided maybe my neighbor could help. He was on the phone with police because of me. Police came and everyone checked on me. I’m so stupid guys I want to die. I burdened everyone and I’m so cringe and can’t handle myself. I don’t know how to get over this. I feel like I can’t sit, sleep, stand, eat, whatever else. I’m shaking so bad and crying. Why am I me? Why am I the way I am? I hate myself so much. I don’t know how to get over this. I don’t want to be here anymore

Been here a month and I suck so bad

Ive wanted this job so bad. I don’t want to lose it but I’m afraid to. I’ve only been here a month and have been on my own for 5 days. First, I missed initialing papers a lot because I wasnt sure what boxes I was supposed to sign. Then, I have lost grip of dogs and they ran through the hall (they can’t get out but still). Today, there was a fight and I completely acted on instinct and protected the dog with my body and got him out. Am I going to get fired for this? I wasn’t even thinking, I’m so stupid. I suck so bad at this job. I cry every morning because I want to be better but I’m so stupid and slow. I’m on medication that fucks up my memory and it’s just ruining everything. I don’t know what to do. I just want to be a good worker and not have my coworkers dislike me.

I don’t want to lose all my doggy friends either. It honestly pains me knowing if I get fired I won’t see my regulars anymore. Is there something I can do to be better and not annoying or a burden? I’m sorry for the long post I just got back from work and the anxiety is killing me

Dizziness every morning

Hey guys, I’ve been on lamotrigine for 2 years. My usual brand is Actavis and it makes me feel fine. A month ago they prescribed me it from the manufacturer Zydus. For some reason this one makes me feel really sick and dizzy. So after a week or 2 of that, they switched me back to actavis. Now it’s making me really dizzy just like the Zydus one. Is it because my body is readjusting to the old manufacturer again? It’s been 2 weeks, has anyone else had this happen and eventually had the dizziness go away? I gotta drive 1 hour every morning and it’s pretty scary

Might lose my job after just getting it

I just got my dream job and I’m on my second week. On my third day, I got completely lost because my phone stopped working and I was completely lost in a city I’m not very familiar with. They were very understanding though. Then today I woke up extremely dizzy and couldn’t safely drive the 1 hour commute to work. I called and texted the manager and said I would go to urgent care but they haven’t responded in 5 hours. I’ve lost a job I love and now my boyfriend will leave me and I will be homeless and lose my cats. I don’t have anyone except my boyfriend right now and he’s been paying everything since I’ve been off work for a year and a half. I was so proud of myself and excited to work there. It was a doggy daycare so I got to work with dogs where they don’t judge you or dislike you because of how you look. It was helping my anxiety after coming from retail where most customers were rude to me and judged me. I don’t even know what to do anymore my whole life is ruined. I just needed somewhere to vent and ask if I am spiraling or I really ruined my life. I’m so scared right now I can’t stop shaking I don’t know what to do

Lamotrigine manufactured by Zydus

I’ve been on lamotrigine for 2 years and it usually does nothing to me in terms of side effects. One manufacturer though, zydus, makes me incredibly dizzy. I asked my pharmacy and they just had that brand but had a different brand for the extended release ones. My psychiatrist kinda sucks at getting back to me and I work on Thursday. I drive 1 hour to work but I can’t be dizzy, I need this job so bad. Should I go to urgent care and ask? Or go cold turkey off the pill? What would you guys do?

Scars ruining my life

I’m really sorry if this is the wrong sub.

I have massive scarring all over my arms and it’s very noticeable. I’m terrified of people judging me. It took me a long time to be able to take off my jacket, and only then because it was the middle of summer and the car I was in had no AC. I’m so ashamed of myself for causing these.

One time at work a coworker used an item code scanner on my arm and said “huh, it’s not showing a bar code”. I just want to be left alone and not be some joke

Today I have a working interview at a boarding kennel. It’s really hot today but I’ll probably have to wear long sleeves anyway. Just tired of this. I wish I could make them disappear.

Is this normal for boarding kennel?

I wasn’t sure where to post this because I think it would be weird for the vet subreddit. I am inexperienced professionally working with dogs. I’ve just had my own dogs and a variety of breeds. I went to a “trial day” at a boarding kennel and they showed me around for 10 minutes. Then they cleaned a couple of kennels and then left me to do it alone. They had a guillotine system but they didn’t use it while cleaning for some reason?

So as I opened the door to clean their inside kennel they just rush through the door from the outside kennel and I had to physically shove them back through the hole so I could clean. I had to put a little white pallet between the outside and inside kennel but big dogs just knock it off while I’m cleaning. The worst part in my opinion is that the chemicals would just get on the dogs feet as I mopped because they were just right outside the hole. I’m not sure how harmful the chemicals are but I would be upset if this happened to my dog.

I feel like this was a severe risk for an inexperienced kennel assistant? I don’t think I’ve had a job where I was left to work alone for a bit. Also I wasn’t sure how to get these dogs back to the outside kennel so I was struggling to push them back. They could have bitten me while my face was next to them. I left after an hour because it was too much stamina to push big dogs while mopping their kennel. Is this normal? Like do all kennels do this? If so I don’t want to look for this job anymore lol

Is this normal for a trial day at a boarding kennel?

I apologize if this is the wrong subreddit but I wasn’t sure where to post it. Today was my “trial run” at a boarding kennel and I have very little experience other than cleaning and playing with my own dogs. It was put in my resume and cover letter though so they should know that. But I got there and they talked about morning routines for a little bit and then left and had me clean kennels by myself. The worst part was that the only way I could separate the dogs from the holding room (behind their fenced gate kennel outside) was to hold a white board on the hole the dogs walk through so I could block them from escaping. Seriously I had to hold back giant ass dogs and squat down to push them back. All while mopping the little area and the board. It was so exhausting. Is this normal for a “trial run”?? Heck is this even normal for a boarding kennel? I thought there would at least be better separation to keep the dogs outside while I cleaned inside

Veterinary Assistant interview - what to expect?

Hi guys, I have a working interview on Monday and I’m so nervous! I just wanted to know what to expect? Also what should I wear? I read to wear scrubs but that seems pretty presumptuous because I haven’t gotten the job yet. Should I bring a notebook as well or is this more of a hands-on thing? I read you’re supposed to take notes during an interview. I’m probably over thinking all this but I just want to make sure I do my best so I can get hired. This is my first time in the field; I came from retail. So this is a dream job for me :)

Veterinary Assistant Interview, first time in the field

Hi guys, I just got an email to do an interview tomorrow for a vet assistant position. I’m super excited!! The only experience I have though is a year in animal shelter care and some wildlife rehab but these were quite a bit ago. Do you guys know what to expect in an interview? Like what kinda of questions will come up? Will I have to show how to handle an animal in a fear-free way or is this something that comes later? Thank you for reading!

How to get back into WoW after you played with someone you love and they’re no longer there?

I’ve played WoW for 21 years; literally 2/3rds of my life. I always take breaks, but I’ve been active in every expansion at least for a little while (except shadowlands). My mom has BPD and abandons me a lot… but we got really close for a year and it was nice. We played every single day and hung out on discord with guildies. Then she abandoned me again, and I lost my guild friends too. It’s been 2 months and I’m terrified to come online. I know I could put myself offline but I can’t bring myself to remove her. I miss this game, though. I don’t know, I just needed to vent… I guess I was wondering if it was hard for anyone else to get back into a game after their gaming partner is gone? How did you go about it?

Can I apply to two different jobs at the same veterinary hospital?

There are two different positions on indeed that I qualify for. One is a receptionist and the other is a vet assistant. Is it okay if I apply to both or can I only do one?

Also should I leave my bachelors in biology in my resume to show I have animal knowledge or will it be seen as overqualified?

Cat vomited ~5 times today; Emergency?

I am a 32(f) with a 9 year old female cat. She has always had a sensitive stomach since she was little. She would vomit every other day or so but the vet said nothing was wrong. Today though she vomited about 5 times and there is a slight pink tinge to it. I am hoping this is just irritation from the stomach from vomiting so much today. She is acting completely normal; no lethargy, skin is snapping back to neck instantly. Is this an emergency? Or can I call my vet tomorrow and see if I can bring her in asap? I don’t have the finances for an emergency vet right now. I know I feel like an awful person but I have been hit really hard the past couple years so I am struggling a bit. If she seriously looked lethargic, wasn’t moving, or this is a serious big emergency then I will go (I don’t know how to get care without the money though?) but I need to know if it can wait until morning

Oops sorry I am in northern oregon by Portland

TL;DR Cat vomiting a lot and pink tinge to vomit. Acting normal, non lethargic, and skin snaps back to neck immediately. Emergency or wait until morning? Very low on finances.
