Any length of story is good, any characters, maybe some Snape related stories, would just like some stuff that follows up on everybody after the final book/movie, maybe even an 8th book/9th movie level type story, thanks 😄

Hello everyone, I started reading The Serpent Under this week (Tuesday) and just finished it earlier today (Friday), and I was wanting to ask a few questions I’m puzzled about, share a few theories, and get everyone’s thoughts, opinions, and answers on them.

Where is Mary Morstan?

There is no mention of where she is during all of this, the only mention of her when Kate Wadley asks Watson if he is married and he nods, that’s it.

Why?

(I thought this was odd since MacBird usually gives an explanation as to her whereabouts in the stories)

Why is Watson at Baker Street?

He’s just there when the story starts, no mention of why he isn’t with his wife at the time, or where she is, or if he should send her a message to let her know he’s alright, nothing, and they act as though Watson is living at Baker Street.

Why?

How does this fit into the timeline?

In the original canon Watson says he hasn’t seen Holmes in like 3 months before the events that lead to the encounter with Moriarty.

When will Bonnie MacBird’s next SH book be set?

Will it be set during the hiatus or pick up sometime after, or will she jump backwards in the timeline like she did with The Three Locks?

Is Bonnie MacBird setting up a possible Holmes and Heffie book?

In this book Holmes mentioned twice that he would like to send Heffie out country to “broaden her horizons” as he put it, to somewhere like Switzerland or Paris, since the events of The Final Problem between Holmes and Moriarty happen in Switzerland, do you think he could meet up with Heffie after this and they both solve a case or two abroad during the hiatus? Told from the perspective of Holmes or Heffie.

Does anybody else think that’s what MacBird is hinting at possibly?

NOTE: I absolutely love Bonnie MacBird’s writing and Sherlock Holmes books, so I am not trying to nitpick or bash her writing in any way, these are just some questions I thought other people might have had the answers to to stuff I might have missed or not thought of. Thanks 😊
