Need advice: parked Honda City got dented, suspected pickup but driver won’t admit it

Hi everyone, I need some advice on how to handle a situation like this in the Philippines.
I parked my Honda City and later noticed a dent on the front-right fender/side panel, near the passenger door. We only discovered the damage when we opened the door and heard a very loud sound, apparently because the door/fender clearance had changed.
There was a pickup parked/operating nearby, and based on the location and shape of the dent, we suspect its rear bumper/corner may have caused the damage. However, the pickup owner/driver is hesitant to admit responsibility and says they didn’t hit the car.
The house where the pickup is located has a CCTV camera that appears to face the area, but the owner says the CCTV is “only for decoration.” I’m not sure whether it actually records.
I already have photos of my car and am considering:
Getting photos of the pickup’s rear bumper and comparing the height/shape with the dent
Asking again whether the CCTV actually records
Looking for other CCTV cameras or witnesses nearby
Getting a police report/blotter
Informing my insurance company before having the dent repaired
What would you recommend I do next?
Should I involve the police even though I don’t have definitive proof that the pickup caused it? And is there anything else I should document or do before either vehicle is moved/repaired?
Photos of the damage attached. Any advice from people who have dealt with a similar situation would be greatly appreciated.

New Shopee seller here — how did you start, find suppliers, and identify winning products?

Hey everyone!

I’m a new Shopee seller from the Philippines and I’m currently in the very early stages of building my store.

I’ve already made a few deliveries, mainly to get familiar with the whole process such as packing, printing waybills, preparing orders, and handing parcels over to the courier. Now that I’ve gone through the process myself, I’m feeling much more confident and ready to take things more seriously.

I’d really appreciate hearing from experienced sellers about how you started.
A few things I’m particularly curious about:

How did you find your first reliable suppliers? Local wholesalers, distributors, China/Alibaba/1688, direct manufacturers, or something else?

How did you negotiate with suppliers once you started getting consistent orders?

How do you identify a potentially winning product before investing heavily in inventory?

What metrics do you look at — sales volume, reviews, competition, search volume, margins, repeat purchases, etc.?

Did you start with many different products and eventually narrow down to a few winners?

What mistakes did you make when you were starting that you wish you could have avoided?

At what point did you decide to buy inventory in larger quantities?

For Philippine sellers specifically, are there any sourcing strategies or supplier platforms that have worked particularly well for you?

Right now, my goal isn’t to get rich overnight. I want to learn the fundamentals, test products with small quantities, figure out what customers actually want, and gradually build something sustainable.

If you were starting your Shopee business again from zero today, what would you do differently?
Would really appreciate any advice, experiences, or lessons learned. Thanks po 😘

Is it normal for a tubeless gravel tire to lose almost 50% of its air within 24 hours after a bike shop conversion?

Hi everyone,

I recently had my gravel bike converted from tubes to tubeless at a local bike shop. They installed new tubeless tires, sealant, rim tape, and valves.

The problem is that my rear tire loses almost 50% of its air within about 24 hours, even several days after the conversion. I’ve already taken it back to the shop once, but it’s still happening.

A few details:

Gravel bike
Rear tire only
Brand-new tubeless tire
Professionally installed by the shop
Previous rear tire also lost air after they converted it to tubeless
No obvious punctures or sealant spraying out
The front tire holds pressure much better

I’m trying to figure out whether this is considered normal for a fresh tubeless setup or whether something is wrong with the installation (rim tape, valve, bead seating, rim, etc.).
For those with tubeless gravel setups:
How much pressure do your tires typically lose in 24 hours?
Is a ~50% pressure drop normal?
What would you suspect first given that it’s always the rear wheel, even with a new tire?
Thanks in advance!

Is shame schema one of the worst maladaptive schemas?

When I was a child, my mother would often discipline me by scolding and shaming me in front of other people. If I made a mistake in public, she would raise her voice, criticize me, and make me feel like everyone was judging me. I remember standing there feeling helpless, embarrassed, and wishing I could disappear. Instead of learning from the mistake, I learned to fear making mistakes in front of others.

Even now as an adult, I still feel intense anxiety and shame in public situations because a part of me expects to be humiliated again.

Does anyone else feel that the shame/defectiveness schema is one of the most painful maladaptive schemas? It seems to affect everything? self-worth, comparison, relationships, and even success. If you’ve healed from it, what helped the most?

How do you properly dial in bike fit without paying for a professional fit?

I adjusted my saddle height using online formulas, but on my last ride it actually felt harder. I felt like I was reaching for the pedals at the bottom of the stroke.

What are the best DIY methods to dial in saddle height and overall bike fit? What signs tell you the saddle is too high or too low?

People with both PCOS and Type 2 Diabetes: What helped you get your blood sugar under control?

A friend of mine (30F) was recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and also has PCOS. She’s feeling overwhelmed, so I wanted to hear from people who have actually been through it.

If you have both PCOS and type 2 diabetes:
What treatment worked best for you (Metformin, Mounjaro/tirzepatide, Ozempic, lifestyle changes, etc.)?

How much weight did you lose, and did it improve your blood sugar?

Did your PCOS symptoms (irregular periods, ovulation, etc.) improve?

Were you able to get your HbA1c into the normal range or even into remission?

If you were trying to conceive, did treating your diabetes and PCOS improve your fertility?

I’d really appreciate hearing your experiences—both the successes and the challenges. Thanks!

How has cycling affected your health? Can you still have illnesses despite being a long-distance cyclist?

For those who cycle regularly, especially long distances, how has it affected your health and overall wellness?

Also, are there any long-distance cyclists here who still have pre-existing or chronic illnesses despite being fit? If so, what are they, and has cycling helped manage them?

How do you deal with aggressive dogs or wild animals while cycling?

A friend of mine was bitten by a stray dog while cycling and had to get rabies shots.

Since then, I’ve been a bit cautious.
How do experienced cyclists deal with aggressive dogs? And for those who ride in areas with bears, deer, or other wildlife, what’s the best approach?

Any tips or personal experiences?

How did you train for your first 200 km brevet?

I’m new to cycling and my long-term goal is to get into randonneuring. For those who have completed 200 km or longer brevets, what did your training look like? How many days per week did you ride, how long did your long rides get before your first brevet, and what do you wish you had known as a beginner? Thanks! 🚴

Did anyone else realize their family was toxic only after moving out? How did you recover?

For those who grew up in toxic or emotionally abusive families:

Did moving out significantly improve your mental health?
What helped you recover the most?
How long did it take before you felt “normal” again?
Did you ever stop feeling guilty for choosing yourself?
What’s one piece of advice you’d give someone who’s just starting over?

Giant Roam 2 vs Traction Atlas for long-distance touring and maximum comfort? (Beginner cyclist)

Hi everyone,

I’m a complete beginner to cycling and I’m trying to choose between the Giant Roam 2 and the Traction Atlas.

A little about what I’m looking for:
Height: 5’8” (173 cm)

Beginner cyclist with limited stamina, so I don’t want a bike that’s difficult to pedal.
90% of my riding will be on paved roads in the Philippines, with occasional rough roads or gravel.
I plan to do long-distance touring, carrying a rear rack and panniers for multi-day trips.
I don’t care about racing or top speed. Comfort is my number one priority.
I prefer a more upright riding position because I don’t like being too leaned over.

My goal is to eventually ride routes like 80–150 km in a day, and later on do multi-day tours while exploring different provinces.
From my research:
The Traction Atlas seems more efficient and faster on roads because it’s a gravel bike.
The Giant Roam 2 seems more upright and comfortable, especially over long hours in the saddle.

I’m also planning to keep this bike for many years, so durability and reliability are important.
For those who have ridden both, or have experience with either:
Which one would you choose for long-distance touring?
Which one is less fatiguing after a full day in the saddle?
If you were a beginner focused on comfort and exploring rather than speed, which would you recommend?
I’d especially love to hear from riders who have toured on Philippine roads or similar road conditions. Thanks in advance! 🚴

For those who recovered from panic disorder, GAD, and PTSD—what actually helped you heal?

I’ve been diagnosed with panic disorder, generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), and PTSD, and while I’m getting professional help, I’d really like to hear from people who have genuinely recovered or improved significantly.

What made the biggest difference for you?

-Therapy (CBT, EMDR, exposure therapy, etc.)?
-Medication?
-Exercise or strength training?
-Diet or cutting out caffeine/alcohol?
-Meditation, prayer, or mindfulness?
-Better sleep?
-Time and patience?
-Something else?

How long did it take before you noticed meaningful improvement? Did recovery happen gradually or did you eventually reach a point where things just “clicked”?

I’m also curious about life after recovery. Once your panic attacks, anxiety, and PTSD became manageable, what changed?
Did your career improve?
Did your business or finances grow because you could think more clearly?
Did your relationships become healthier?
Did your physical health improve?
Were you able to travel, drive, attend events, or enjoy hobbies again?
Do you feel like you got your personality and confidence back?

I’d especially appreciate hearing from people who once thought they’d never recover but are now living a fulfilling life. Stories of hope, practical advice, and realistic expectations would mean a lot.

Thank you in advance to everyone willing to share your journey. I know everyone’s path is different, but reading real experiences gives me hope that recovery is possible.

My dad’s answer to ‘How much should I give?’ was ‘How much do you love your mother?

My parents recently confronted me and asked me to increase my financial support for them. The part that really bothered me is that they had just belittled and disrespected me during a recent argument.
When my mom said I should give more because they know how much I earn, I asked my dad how much he thought I should give. His response was, “How much do you love your mother?”
That honestly felt manipulative to me. Instead of discussing finances like adults, it became a test of my love. Am I overreacting, or is this an unhealthy way to ask for financial support?
