DKM just blew out the Power to the People Fest!!

Amazing performance. They brought out union members, called for a mosh pit, and brought out Michael Fannone to dedicate First Class Loser to the 🍊king.
Absolutely rocking the entire place, and anyone watching now is going to follow them. Followed by the Foo Fighters.

Aveda Pure Abundance Hair Spray Alternatives?

Hi,

Has anyone been successful in finding a good replacement? I'm sensitive to most floral smells (highly) and am used to this spray. It's a strongish hold and doesn't bother me. I bought a few of them when they were discontinued but now I can't find them at anything other than highway robbery prices ;-)

I prefer the spray pump top instead of the aerosol type one. Any suggestions from Aveda or other lines that work well. My hair is straight, I curl it and it doesn't hold well but the Pure Abundance Hair Spray does a good job.

Thanks!

Headaches fear of having to stop Tirz

Hi all,

I've been microdosing Tirz for 3 months, great success at 1.25. 14 lbs down. I live in Mexico part-time and was getting a compound here. Suddenly almost 3 weeks ago I got a headache right after my shot. I didn't change anything but it was a new vial. I checked with my provider and no one else had any issues that she knew of. It's different here and I posted my vials and someone very knowledgeable pointed out that these are gray market, so basically hard to know the quality. I trust my provider and they work with a reputable lab and also test themselves when it arrives. However, my doctor said the best idea was to switch to Mounjaro (pens here) so we know that the medication is clean. I did that last week and took my second shot yesterday.

My headache has continued for almost 3 weeks now. I've never had anything like this before. They have run cat scans, blood work, and I saw an opthamologist yesterday and had a full exam. Nothing major showing, tiny low sodium but nothing much. All other blood work good - glucose at 90, total cholesterol at 148 a new low for me! I'm doing really well on Tirz that I do not want to give it up.

So, I keep hoping we will find some way to break this headache cycle, or find something else causing it. I will be devastated to have to quit at this point. I haven't had any serious side effects and my body really is responding.

Anyone else have anything like this? If I have to stop I know I could try the older GLP-1 meds but I'm guessing I could have a reaction to those. I'm running out of things to blame it on. If I go off it would have to be for a few weeks from what I know, just to clear my system. Would love to hear from anyone with experience or thoughts about this. I was hoping it might have been a "bad batch" of the compound and now that I'm on Mounjaro it would clear, so far nada.

I'm returning to the US in 2 weeks so also need to know if any companies support microdosing so I'm not wasting half a 200.00 pen like I am now at the 2.5 level.

Thanks!

Recommendations for compounding and microdose

Hi all,

I split my time between the US and Mexico. I started 1.25 Tirz 9 weeks ago and have lost 11 lbs (SW 162, GW 130). My supplier here follows all regulations but they are much looser than the U.S.
I've gained valuable knowledge from these Reddit chats and am happy to find this one.

I was planning to bring 5 months supply back with me but thought it might be better to get out of the non regulated options here in Mexico and focus on a good supplier in the U.S. Also traveling by car for many days and in/out of hotels would be a bit of a hassle to keep cool.

My starting BMI qualified me along with other conditions, now it would not. Will that be an obstacle?

What is it best to have compounded with? In Mexico we don't have to add any extras as it's over the counter. I see B3, B12, and Glycine most often. Any recommendations on those?

Seems like some of the companies won't ship to MS. Are they all about the same? I'd love a decent value with good quality. I plan to continue to micro-dose as long as it's working. I'm a bit confused when people talk about the Kwik pens and regular needles. I've been using a regular syringe and bottle so far.

Thanks in advance for any advice. Kind of alone on this journey and it's so helpful to have others that have experience.

Recommendations for supplier in US?

Hi all - I live in Mexico part-time and have been taking Tirz 1.25 microdose for over 2 months now. I have to return to the US for 6 months. I can bring it from here but that will be a bit of a hassle, although I'm sure it will cost less.
I really don't know the US market. Will I need an RX from my doctor there? I have one from my doctor here in Mexico, but I'm sure that won't matter. I'm also almost 1/2 to my goal so my GP might not prescribe. I could get Mounjaro pens here, only pens, but I can't microdose out of those that I know of (perhaps some of you know better).
I'm looking for reasonable pricing and good safety, realizing it will be compounded (mine in MX is not).
I would love any experience or advice you can offer. Thank you

Confused by change in units with the same dosing?

Hi all,

My first 6 weeks I was on 1.25 microdose of Tirz. I've lost 10 lbs, I know some is water weight, and had some side effects that I'm managing. As I am losing maybe 1 lb per week it seems worth staying at 1.25 for now. So far, I'm using 10 units on a diabetic needle, so I guess 10mg? I just ordered more and the provider said I will now use a 25 unit dose but it's still 1.25. Does that make sense to anyone? For reference I'm in Mexico so we don't have to compound with other ingredients here. So I should be getting only Tirz.
I just don't understand why it would change? If you have any experience with this please let me know.

I appreciate it - Thanks!

Embarrassed to have to ask this but....stickiness?

I keep needing to ask this, and have searched for a while and tried various things and nothing is working. My bowel movements are so sticky, it's awful. I'm on a microdose of 1.25 and did take a round of Miralax for a few weeks to clear up constipation when I first started. I started slow because I do have a kind of cranky GI system. I was already taking 2 capsules of fiber per day before Tirz. I stopped taking that for a while and haven't taken Miralax for about a week just to see if that helps. I know Miralax makes things softer so that made sense.
Still, nothing. I'm using wet wipes but the area is definitely irritated.
At least I'm going, but one will drop and the other will stay for me to clean off. It's just not great lol.
Has anyone else dealt with this and do you have any advice? My provider, a nurse, has none beyond what I've already tried.
Thanks!

Moving from 1.25 to 1.75, does it make sense?

Hi - My provider, a local nurse here in Mexico, had surgery and isn't taking appointments this week so I'm reaching out to see if anyone has experience in these dosings.

At 1.25 I have some suppression, I eat about 1/3-1/2 of a "normal" portion. My diet has changed dramatically, much better, my calories are 1100-1300 and I do log everything. The first week I lost about 4 lbs, water weight I'm sure. Two weeks of little loss and then another pound. SW:164 CW:155 GW:135

It's been 6 weeks and my only side effect is sticky bowel movements, which I can't seem to get right. Tried more fiber, less fiber, miralax, etc. At least I'm not constipated anymore and that's a plus 😄

Wondering if it makes sense to go up, could that really increase my symptoms? Seems like a small jump but also with microdosing every small change is actually a fairly large one medication-wise.

Thanks for sharing your experiences!

New here and starting tomorrow. Trying to decide on starting dose.

Hi everyone,

I am new to this Reddit, glad it's here. I am 61 years old and weigh 165, I'm 5 foot four. I am a travel agent, and a civil rights organizer so figure out how those two go together lol.

I definitely have weight to lose but my main focus is on the anti-inflammatory impossible neuroprotective mechanisms of this drug.

I live in Mexico part-time and my doctor has already agreed to me starting on this medication. I will be working with a medical professional , someone that I know and trust and is very good at research.
They normally start everyone at 2.5 since that is the approved starting dose. We talked a bit about micro dosing and it seems like most of their people considers 2.5 a good starting, and in many cases a good dose to stay on. They said they are willing to start me lower, but need to know where I want to start so they can compound for me.
I had thought starting at 1.25 might be a good dose. I do have some G.I. issues along with acid reflux normally. I do take medication for them and usually they aren't too much of a problem. The nurse says that they do not think I will lose anything or see any results from that low a dose.
If you all wouldn't mind sharing your starting doses, and the reasons for going below the normal 2.5 that would be super helpful to me. Also any advice you have.

Thanks

VZ locked phone for three years after I went to store and told them I needed a dual line phone

Hi all - I'm so frustrated. I traded in my iPhone 13 for an iPhone 17. I specifically went to the VZ company store to make sure everything would be done correctly. I showed them that my phone had a US line (VZ) and a Mexican line (Telcel). I was very specific that I live in Mexico part of the year and travel back and forth. I need the Telcel line for verification for things like my bank account, transfers, credit cards etc. Mexican businesses want Mexican phone numbers. My iPhone 13 clearly had both on it and I have been using it that was for almost 2 years.

The sales person said no worries, the iPhone 17 will take multiple e-sims and I can use 2 simultaneously. Again, I told them multiple times I was about to head back to Mexico and would reload my MX phone number when I arrived, that I need to have a phone with BOTH.
All good, got the new phone and headed south.

I went into Telcel to move the e-sim with my number on it and was told my iPhone 17 is locked. I remember hearing before that they might be locked for 60 days, which would be a headache but I could survive. However, I was so very clear that I needed to use both lines on the one phone when I was at VZ. So, I called and after an hour working with international was told my my phone is locked for THREE YEARS. The only option is to pay full price for a phone that is essentially "free" with the 3 year contract. If I was in the US I would go back to the store and return it, but of course I am not. Had I been told anything about this (even when I google it shows 60 days but I can see there was a change recently) I would have purchased a phone elsewhere and just connected it to my VZ account.

So (sorry, I know it's a long story) - is there anyone I can reach out to or a department that might help me? I have to have the Telcel number on my phone in order to be able to work, it's not an option. I feel like they should unlock it given the circumstance - the sales person must have to admit their fault. I spent quite a bit of time there and even showed photos of where I live for heavens sake.

Thanks in advance for any ideas or assistance you can give. I honestly had no idea they could lock it for that length of time and can't go back to a store now that I'm in Mexico for at least 2 months.
