Post purchase coupon delivery?

Just curious if anyone’s bought the U1 recently to get the coupon promo. How long did it take to get it? I ordered earlier today and just wondering if it’s a matter of hours or days. I’m waiting to order some accessories. Not urgent just curious. Thanks!

Buying on Snapmaker vs Amazon

I think I'm going to buy the U1 and move away from Bambu (scary! haha). But one thing that jumped out is that the snap maker page looks like it comes with a spare hot end and four rolls of PLA. Do you get that if you buy from amazon? It looks like amazon has a better return policy and quicker shipping and I can use my amazon points so I was thinking of buying there.

Mounting filament dryer above U1

I’m considering moving on from my Bambu to a snapmaker u1. But the problem is my space. I don’t have a good set up to spread out horizontally. It’s all designed to have vertical space (ala bambu and stacking amses on top)

Whats the best way to set up creality or sunlu mounted above the printer? I saw one guy here that did it successfully but everyone beat him up about super long ptfe runs. I don’t know enough about how the snapmaker is set up and what it needs to figure out the best solution.

Does this mattress exist?

Is there such a thing as a mattress that is:

  1. Soft plush feel “Like sleeping on a cloud”
  2. Supportive that doesn’t cause back and shoulder pain
  3. Sleeps cool and doesn’t overheat during the night

Or are those three things unable to coexist? Do you need firmness for support? Does anything that feel soft and cloud like end up causing your hips to sink in too much? Does the combination of plush AND support mean you’ll end up hot?

I’ve spent so much money on so many mattresses and just can’t find my perfect one.

Only site that doesn't work is login.microsoftonline.com. Why?

I use safari on MacOS. 1Password works all the time...except for logging into login.microsoftonline.com. when I click in the field the drop down appears for 1Password, but clicking on it does nothing. I have to manually open 1Password and copy and paste the password and then go back and do the same for the 2FA code.

Why does this site "block" 1Password? is there a way around it?

Question about Ella-Book 1 Spoilers

I’m doing my first read through of these and I’m halfway through book 2 and very confused about something

In book 1, Ella runs away from home to go with Rhett and elope. I get that.

That means she was saved from the fire that burned her home and didn’t know about her parents being killed.

But then Rhett is killed and she is left with no money. Why does she continue onwards instead of head back to the Glade? For all she knows her family is there and life goes on as normal. Instead she gets on a boat with a stranger and hopes to find her dead lover’s family to take care of her. I don’t get it.

I don’t get it

I’m trying to set up a “flex daily” schedule and rachio seems to think I need 7 hours of watering. My normal watering is closer to like 15 min per valve. What kind of crazy is this? It’s clear that I’m missing something important…or that there’s a bug somewhere.

Anyone have any ideas?

AMS on P1S Died. Replace board, replace unit, upgrade to AMS 2 or upgrade whole printer?

I have had my P1S since February 2024. bought it with the AMS combo. Never had any real issue. But looks like the mainboard of it died. I just went through the steps here: https://wiki.bambulab.com/en/x1/troubleshooting/ams-power-failure and measured 24v at the mainboard itself. Disconnected everything except power and comm and it was never recognized. It died mid print.

Now I gotta decide what to do. Part of me just wants to say screw it and upgrade to a new printer. I would love multi-color printing without all the time and waste of the P1S. but my space is laid out perfectly for the P size and the H is too big. I'd have to find an entirely different set up.

I could go the P2S but it sounds like that isn't much of an upgrade.

Or I could just get a new board/AMS/or maybe even an AMS.

Whats the best move? I make a lot of parts for things around the house but my primary use is for give aways for my book club I run. each month I make a little "mini". Changing the nozzles from .4 to .2 is a pain and changing colors is slow but people love the little things I make and I don't want to deal with just external spool.

At a loss for next audiobook and need help

I usually have a an organized list or what I’m reading next, but I find myself with only two credits and unsure what to listen to next. I realize I’ll need more credits or Libby to finish some of these series but my membership runs out at the end of this month and need to plan the next two reads

Here’s what I’ve “narrowed” it down to lol:
Age of Ash-Daniel Abraham
The Dragons Path- Daniel Abraham
Alchemised-SenLinYu
The Forgetting Moon-Brian Lee Durfee
The Bone Ships-RJ Barker
Of Blood and Fire-Ryan Cahill
Priest of Bones-Peter McLean
Malice-John Gwynne

I’m actually going through a rough time and need something that really sucks me in and grabs my focus out of the mire it finds itself lol. I tried some Guy Gavrial Guy and as much as I loved Lions of Al-Rassan, I just could not get into Song for Arbonne

For reference some of my favorites include anything by Joe Abercrombie, Dungeon Crawler Carl, ASOIF, Will of the Many, first Mistborn series and the first two stormlights (actually I liked a lot of the older Sanderson stuff but he lost me with the last couple stormlights), Robin Hobb, KKC, all the usual you see haha. I’ve enjoyed all the Robert Jackson Bennet books and eagerly awaiting the third in the shadow of the colossus. I just read mortedants peril and liked it. I put the Daniel Abraham series on there because the Mercy of the Gods and its sequel are two of the best things I’ve read in years.

I struggle a bit with things that are overly tropy. I like fresh takes. And as I said earlier, I’m really hoping for something that grabs my attention and holds it rather than a slow burn. Not that slow burns are bad or unenjoyable-just I need something different right now.

Importantly since this is an audiobook request a good narrator is absolutely essential. When I saw The Forgetting Moon was read by Tim Gerrard Reynolds, I added it to the list.

Would love to hear this subs recs! Thank you!!

New Sora 30 Owner-Really Like It ... But fine filter question

So far, it's great. I think I'm returning the Aiper I had to compare it with. But the lack of the fine filter is really clear. So I want to buy the accessory...and am shocked at the price. it's more than double the filter prices of the Aiper. I see, though, that it's actually the fine mesh filter and the basket.

Does anyone know if they plan to release the replacements for just the fine mesh filter to go inside of the basket? or do you have to replace the entire dual assembly at a high cost every single time? That seems crazy...

I need help. I've lost days already. Personal item/2nd bag for travel

I have probably spent more than 40 hours trying to figure out which bag to get. I know that is insane. You should see my try to shoe shop.

Anyway, I think I'm down to one of these 6 bags.

Aer CP2, Aer CPP2, Toshi 20L, Herschel Kalso, Thule Subterra 2 21L, Cotopaxi 18L Allpa

This would only be for under the seat in front of me as a second bag with either a spinner or a duffle depending on the trip.

I think the pack list would include: Laptop, iPad, kindle, Sony headphones, AirPods, wallet, passport, eye mask, water bottle, gum, protein bar (maybe 2), charger, 2 usb cables, light jacket/sweatshirt, 1 pill container, sunglasses tucked away, phone tucked away sometimes.

I don't like additional "packs" like a tech pack inside of a backpack. I do like packing cubes for clothes, but I dont see a lot of clothes in here, thats the main bag. this is for quick access to anything I might want on a plane but not take up too much space. Minimal while being able to cover the needs.

What do you think? Please save me. I'm losing it.

It was time to replace the 275/65 20s on the R1S just after 21k miles. Thought we’d get a quieter, smoother, more efficient ride by going to the Michelin’s…and while two of those three happened, this massive efficient drop is surprising and alarming.

We live in SoCal and have had nice fair weather-not cold enough to affect efficiency nor hot enough to need strong AC. We’ve been driving extra conservatively trying to max out these tires and we haven’t done any accelerating or testing of them for performance

Our drives have been the absolute same as always.

Could this be due to the tires being so new? I would understand if it was close….but this is massive!

Checked tire pressure. It’s perfect. Alignment feels great. Rides smoothly no pulling no shaking.
