Extra check question

now that the contract is ratified when they get around to paying the back pay since April will it be subject to extra being taken out in PEF dues, health insurance premiums, and all the usual other deductions? Also it’s back to the 2nd paycheck in April right?

On PSLF, have to recertify my income based repayment by 9/6. Currently have a $0 repayment until November 2026. If I submit the form early will they process it and make the higher payment (due to having income again)due before November? In other words would I lose 3 months of $0 payments ?

Suffering question

do you believe when life dumps on people all lot all at once with things they’ve not knowingly caused it’s because they are being punished for something or another reason? Some people say it’s to learn something but life shitting on you doesn’t always produce lessons so what is the reason?

Bed bug

For a bit over a month the upstairs neighbors have had bedbugs. I started dealing with this about 3 weeks ago. They've sprayed twice so far. Today I asked the landlord to have the upstairs neighbors file a claim against their libility because I am likely to have to throw out my furniture. I spoke with my renter's insurance company this morning and they said this is what I should do as the landlord has all the documentation and because the people upstairs fought them in doing what is needed to get rid of them(their negligence). So the bedbugs made their way to my apartment. Now she is acting like I am lying and don't have them. This is the nymph on my mattress and an adult crawling on my wall this morning. Now the landlord is saying the pest people didn't find anything "active." I said well I have and I've been sending you pictures for weeks. Please tell me whether I can crazy or if these are in fact bedbugs? I feel like I am being gaslit

Found the 2nd bedbug today, upstairs neighbor has them and now apparently I do too. Was going to move- need advice.

So the landlord sprayed "preventively" in here Tuesday. I found one dead today and one alive on monday (which promptted them to spray my apartment Tuesday. Landlord thought I "brought it in on my shoe." Upstairs neighbor has had them for about a month and has not been doing what they should to get rid of them. They are too busy arguing with the maintaince director about it. So I am scheduled to move out of here on 7/29 but now I am thinking maybe I should move everything to a storage unit without aircondlting for a month or two to bake in the summer heat, and/or get rid of my couch, bed, boxspring, and oversized chair(I've not seen anything in them yet), just to be safe so I don't spread it to the other apartment. I live in a north eastern state in the usa. The landlord is letting me move out of where I am into another building within the complex. All my clothes have been in hardcover suitcases (washed in hot water and dried before going in the suitcases), all the rest of my stuff is in bins and boxes. I had hoped to get out of here before I got them but apparently that is not the case. I only found out about their bedbugs about two weeks ago. What is the best course of action here for my stuff?

Question about Uhaul Cargo van

Am I correct that a cargo van would not hold a queen mattress, box spring, couch, oversized desk, office chair, 20 small/medium boxes and 2 extra large boxes? Should I get a 10 or 15 inch truck instead?

Month to month apartment suggestions

are there any month to month apartments under $1490 available locally? I need somewhere that is quiet, clean, and does good snow removal in winter. no pets right now but therapist says it would be good for me to have an emotional support animal and can provide the paperwork. I’d only need a one bedroom prefer an upper so there is no stomping on my head.I need parking.

upstairs neighbor has bedbugs. Right now I don't - how do I avoid getting them?

I read that they can come through walls/cracks, etc. Is there anything preventative I can do so that I can keep them out? The upstairs neighbor is just nasty. Same clothes, don't clean- they don't vacuum. I am a clean freak. The landlord is having a pest company treat their apartment tomorrow. Is there anything I can do to prevent their spread before it happens? My living room and bedroom floors are carpeted too so I am not sure I can put diatomaceous earth along the edges of it. I am so upset and angry about this and don't want that in my place but not sure on the best course of action to prevent it!

rose flavored ice cream by the scoop?

Does anywhere in the Albany/Schenectady area have rose flavored ice cream by the scoop? I know where I can get a huge tub of it but I'd like a scoop just to try.

Do you think most people are genuinely happy or are they just existing, paying bills, and just feel alive only because they aren't dead yet?

Trying to figure out if this is just me or if this is just being an adult. Also, if you were someone that felt like this and you were able to turn it around how (helpful details - not just "change your mindset").

how is the road maintained and how long has it taken you at worst?

Is there a way to edit or stop the channel short-cuts that now pop up on the side bar?

As said above there was recently an update and now some channels you are subscribe to are short-cuts on the sidebar. Is there anyway to stop that and make it appear as just the list as before?
