We are hoping on catching Purr-Lee Monday morning and taking her to the Animal Birth Control Clinic for a very important vaccination and spay.

I started putting food in the trap with the door tied open on Friday to get her used to it. She moved into it immediately and was in it off and on all day Sunday. I set the trap off with a pull chord so i can target certain cats and it is the tabico Purr-Lee’s turn.

Her Mother Atsea Aurora and her sister Purrsephany have already been trapped and spayed and now it is her turn.

Atsea Aurora has kept her family together even after her spay. Purrsephany (Torbie), Purr-Lee (dilute tabico), Perry Feral (tabby) and Loki (silver tabby) hang out with their mother most every day.

Earl Grey, Sir Henry Thomas Tabby, Sir Thomas Henry Orange, and Paisley Po the Tabico were feral cats but are now tame. Paisley even eats inside the house now.

They are all different though from the same litter.

I got the mother cat spayed. One of her kittens was caught in the trap with her and was spayed as well. The others come by every morning and I am going to trap them also.

After her spay, the mother cat Atsea Aurora disappeared for eight days but she is back. I need to spay/neuter the other kittens. The plan is to start feeding them in the trap with the gate tied open on September 11th for a capture date of Monday September 14th. I am positive I can catch one on this date.

My priority was the mother because she could go back in heat at any time. There is still time to catch the rest of the kittens. I will get this done.

On August 11th, 2024 I trapped Paisley and got her vaccinated and spayed. I then TNRed her three brothers. We tried to make Paisley an indoor cat but it did not work out and she returned to her outdoor colony.

Still, she comes inside to eat. She also comes in when it freezes. The first two pics are her coming inside to eat. The next photo is her and the tomcat Mister Scratch who is probably her father. The last photo is her outside.

Purrsephany is the mackerel tabby Torbie and Penelope is the smaller grey tabby. They live on my back porch as their mom Atsea Aurora is very feral.

Their mom Atsea was trapped, spayed, and vaccinated on August 10, 2026. Purrsephany was accidentally caught in the trap with her mom Atsea. So the Animal Birth Control Clinic did a spay on Purrsephany also. You can see where the cut her left ear tip rather roughly as a sign of her spay.

Penelope will need a spay but we are waiting until she is older and the weather is cooler.

At our house we have an old dog door. We have no dogs. Four cats come inside the house regularly and two cats come in just to eat. The inside cats are very territorial.

Lord William Robert Piebald AKA Billy Bob Bitey Baby guards the dog door at night and all day. He keeps the feral cats in my TNR Colony from coming inside.

Lord William has taken a liking to Purrsephany and Penelope so I think they will make it inside. Right now they live in my backyard and they don’t run from me anymore.

I feed feral cats at my house. I TNR all newcomers. Females take priority but the Toms get it too.

Mister Scratch has been coming around for years and will not go near a trap. I feel like I have failed in regard to him. I think he is the father to most of my feral visitors.

The first photo was taken today. The second photo is about a year old. And the third photo is him with I think his daughter Paisley Po The Tabico who has been trapped, spayed, and vaccinated.

I put a lanyard on my live trap so I can set it off by hand. I then feed the feral cats in the trap starting on a Friday. They get used to the trap over the weekend and on Monday morning I catch one of them because the Animal Birth Control Clinic takes ferals in traps on Mon -Thurs.

I have never seen Mister Scratch in my trap

Miss Tortitude came in from the heat. She still bites me if I pet her. She is still my favorite.

On August 10th 2026, I trapped the extremely feral mother cat Atsea Aurora and accidentally caught one of her kittens we call Purrsephany also.

They were taken to the Animal Birth Control Clinic in my city and spayed and vaccinated. I returned them to my backyard.

Purrsephany’s paperwork listed her as a ticked torbie. There was some debate on whether or not that was an accurate description.

In this picture, it is possible to see the orange spots forming in her stripes.

These kittens are feral but lately have been getting used to us and we can get a little closer now.

We did not know about Philip Peabody, the ticked tabby brother seen in the picture. We kept thinking that they were one cat. And were doubting if we were seeing a torbie.

Now I think this is proof she is a torbie. I am not really sure about the ticked part.

Purrsephany, the ticked Torbie, according to her paperwork from the Animal Birth Control Clinic, was trapped accidentally with her mother and taken in for vaccination and a spay.

Now she spends her hot afternoons on my back porch near a water bowl where she can quench her thirst.

She is such a brave little kitten

The (silver Tabby) mother Atsea showed up on August 3rd with three kittens. They are Penelope (silver tabby) Purr Lee (dilute Tabico) and Purrsephany (ticked Torbie). Atsea and Purrsephany were caught in my trap on August 10, 2026. Purrsephany was caught by accident but was spayed and vaccinated with her mother.

About August 5th, 2026 Peter Peabody the Piebald showed up in the backyard. He is bonded to Atsea and I think he is her brother. She has an all orange brother we call Pedro Peabody also. He showed up August 8th 2026.

Peter Peabody the Piebald is familiar enough with my house to start hanging around after eating. It is not the best picture but he runs away at the sight or sound of me.

I am looking to trap Purr Lee in about a month and get her vaccinated and spayed. Purrsephany was accidentally trapped with her feral mother Atsea and taken to the Animal Birth Control Clinic so she has already been spayed and vaccinated. Purrsephany was released with her mother.

Atsea and Purrsephany were spayed on August 10th, 2026. Atsea, the mother, disappeared for eight days but Purrsephany, the kitten, never left and bounced right back.

Both kittens run away from me upon sight or sound but I hope in the future they will become tamer.

Last year I did not have any new feral cats around. This year I have had six. Atsea the mother, Penelope, Purr Lee, and Purrsephany, her kittens. And Peter and Pedro whom I think are Atsea’s brothers.

This is Lord William Robert Piebald and he now lords over the other cats of our house but when he first came, I had to hand nurse him with kitten formula.

Purr Lee showed up about two weeks ago with her feral mother Atsea. Atsea was trapped on August 10th, vaccinated and spayed. One of her kittens, the Ticked Torbie Purrsephany, was accidentally trapped with her so Purrsephany was spayed also.

Purr Lee has not been vaccinated or spayed and I will be waiting a few weeks before I try and trap her. This is so she is closer to 12 weeks old.

It is hot in Central Texas now and the kittens camp out all day on the back patio in the shade by the fresh water bowl. There mother Atsea visits daily after an absence of eight days after her spay.

All the cats mentioned run away at the sight or sound of us. They are really feral but I aim to change that.

Princess Chloe was a tiny kitten when she got here. She needed kitten milk replacement formula to live. She did not need to be hand nursed. She drank from a bowl on her own. To this day she is still a free spirit.

Atsea was TNRed on August 10, 2026. She was trapped with one of her kittens who was Spay also.

The kitten never went anywhere and bounced back immediately but Atsea disappeared.

Today the kitten (Purrsephany) came this morning with three siblings.

This afternoon Atsea showed up and I got a proof of life photo.

I am so glad she is okay. I was worried sick.

On August 10th 2026, Purrsephany was accidentally caught in a live trap with her feral mother. I did not realize this until after I was at the Animal Birth Control Clinic.

So young Purrsephany under went a spay at a very young age. I was worried about her but she was up and active right away.

Now every morning she comes to eat and drink in my backyard. This was her taken 08/18/2026.

Her paperwork lists her as a ticked Torbie.

Doodles (Kat Mandu) rubs his head in my face every night before bed. I have to stop all I am doing and give him 100% of my attention. He simply loves me fiercely.

I am a firm believer in getting cats vaccinated and applying birth control.

These are my successes stories.

I care for inside, outside, and feral cats. All my cats have been to the vet and fixed and vaccinated.

The very feral kitten Purrsephany was caught in a live trap with her very feral mother Atsea. At the Animal Birth Control Clinic in my city all feral cats brought in traps are neutered or spayed as well as vaccinated.

So Purrsephany under went a spay surgery.

This was on Monday and six days later Purrsephany is thriving.

She hangs around a lot and I see her every day. I hope that soon she will realize that I feed her and let me get close.
