Strict calorie counting

The first couple of weeks have been brutal but what I’ve found to help me is just rotating through basics that I enjoy most that fit into my goals of 1400 calories and 100g+ protein. I’m 4’11” and my weight has been the same at 125lbs in both photos.

Proteins: Fish, shrimp, eggs, lean pork, chicken, and lean beef.

Snacks: Fruit, nonfat Greek yogurt with whey protein, small amount of sweetener.

Volume sides: Frozen veggies (quick sauté), fresh carrots.

Healthy fats: Avocado oil and sunflower seed butter.

Workout routine: Full body weightlifting 3x a week.

Daily lunch: shrimp egg salad - ~400 cals, ~31g protein

It ain’t the prettiest but I found my lunch staple and I love it! I’m on a 1400 calorie plan with a 100g protein target.

2 boiled eggs
10 large cooked shrimp
2 tbsp nonfat Greek yogurt
1/4 avocado oil
A ton of pickles chopped
1 carrot diced
5 crackers as croutons
Seasonings of choice (mine are black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, dill, salt)

Mix it and eat it up! So filling and satisfying! Takes me forever to finish!

38F looking for accountability partner

Hi All! I’m married looking for a platonic relationship, ideally with someone going through a health journey where we can keep each other motivated! I enjoy weightlifting and am back at the gym after a forced hiatus. I’m also cutting calories and really just want to feel and look my absolute best before 40. It would also be really cool to exchange recipes or tips or tricks you’ve found helpful and sustainable.

In addition to that, I enjoy philosophy and psychology and I’m always looking to learn ways I can improve myself mentally. I read/listen to stoic philosophy nearly daily.

I love learning as well and will be starting graduate school in a couple weeks which I’m very excited about!

When I have time, I also like to listen to sci-fi or fantasy audiobooks.

RDL Form Check

Hi! I needed to take a break from the gym for 6 months so I’m starting out slow and I’m pretty stiff. Trying to make sure my form is perfect so I don’t injure myself again. I would love any critiques and suggestions! Thank you!

37F Learn with me?

Between jobs (yay layoffs and economy). Im trying to keep my spirits high and have taken this time to focus on being a better version of myself than I was yesterday.

I’ve picked up on more reading and I prefer nonfiction for physical books. It turns out I’ve been enjoying history and philosophy more lately. I’m currently reading a book called Atomic Human and it’s helping me be a little more hopeful about ai. After this book, I’m going to pick up The Art of War - I have a feeling I’m going to enjoy it.

When I’m cleaning or doing laundry for the millionth time, I like to pop on an audiobook and listen to sci-fi or fantasy. I enjoy cooking and have been on a calorie deficit - do you have any tips or tricks to manage munchies? I ate half a jar of pickles and that kinda helped?

If I’m not working on job applications, I’ve been working on a little personal project and plan to develop an app for funsies - currently in the research phase which I thoroughly enjoy. I’ve been accepted into grad school for human-computer interaction and ideally, I’ll start this fall.

Tell me about any projects you’ve been working on lately? What are you the most excited about? I’d love to expand my knowledge and view of the world!

4 fl oz egg whites
1/2 c peas
Oil Spray
Scramble the eggs first with a lightly oiled pan, then add peas!
= 340 calories, 35g protein

I like to sprinkle a little bouillon for flavor. Deliciously filling and takes me forever to finish. Happy belly.

INFJ Maybe that’ll help?

37F from the US looking for someone or some many that are like me? There’s currently over 8 billion people in the world, so surely that can’t be impossible?

Let’s see, I rotate through hobbies and hyper-fixate on things I find interesting. My current hyper-fixation is fermenting everything in my kitchen, if it can be fermented, it will be. I live a relatively healthy lifestyle, hoping to get back to the gym when finances pick back up. My favorite thing to do is to weight train. I track my calories and eat mostly homemade food. I love to cook and make things from scratch.

I’m a senior graphic designer in between jobs. I have many tattoos, I am politically moderate. I’m not a huge gamer but my go-to is Diablo 4. I’m introverted and spend most of my time learning something new, I’m currently adding Premiere onto my skills set - I’m not too bad I think. I think cognitive psychology is cool. If things go well, I’ll be in graduate school by fall.

Hmm, I like girly things like vintage jewelry and tj maxx has taken most of my money. I try not to use toxins like candles and fragrances. Sounds random but kinda gives you an idea of my lifestyle.

If you think we have a lot in common, drop me a message! Let me know how we’re alike!

Pineapple bug instead of ginger?

I make ginger beer and tepache and I’ve noticed that pineapple ferments way faster than creating a ginger bug. Does anyone create like a pineapple bug instead of a ginger one to add to other fermentations?

Skull Cover Up?

I’m just in a different place in life and I’d like to cover or remove the skull. I’m always looking to cover it up when I’m picking out something to wear. I thought I wanted it for so long but maybe I picked the wrong place. Do you think it’s possible to cover it or should I just wait to zap it off?

Shaker Balls Ok?

I heard mixed things about using metal for fermentation but I know beer is fermented in kegs BUT I thought I’d still double check. I’m guessing a non reactive metal like stainless steel is ok? I have a bunch of these stainless steel protein shaker balls and was thinking it would be great to use to keep the produce submerged. I’ll be covering it with a lid and the balls will push the items down. What do you guys think?

I’ve tried removing this buildup on the heating coil with emptied out vinegar cycles and soaks but it just keeps coming back. It’s leaving residue on my dishes but especially on glassware. I use fragrance free Clean People brand dishwasher pods. Do you think that’s the culprit?
