I never watched the movie, I just went straight to the manga. I read the anniversary edition. I really enjoyed it and the world it created. I knew nothing about it besides how influential it was and of course the slide haha, so I was surprised of it becoming post apocalyptic. The ending with the Great Tokyo Empire still being a thing surprised me a bit but otherwise a really fun read! Feel free to ask for any opinions or thoughts I have since I didn’t have any exposure with the community until now to avoid spoilers!

This one is really really historically important. This now the oldest coin in my collection. Unless I get an electrum piece this is the oldest coin I will ever own. The Lydian Stater and its fractions were the first silver coins ever minted. As the kingdom of Lydia had started a bimetallic system. They were minted by Croesus (or Kroisos) the man who made the concept of standardized coinage itself, in his capital city of Sardes. His name is where the phrase “Rich as Croesus” comes from. These coins were also minted a small bit after Cyrus the Great conquered Lydia. Before Cyrus the Great switched it to mint his equally famous Persian standard of coinage thus spreading coinage across his empire. It is so cool to have one of the progenitors of coinage, and the standard general transaction metal of silver. Which silver coins went on to be the main metal of transaction until fiat currencies. All of coin collecting stems from these Lydian coins, from Persian, Greek, Roman, Indian, American.

I made this meme a while ago but I’m posting it now because I’m actually reading Akira currently! It’s really good. Also yes, this is what goes through my head for every end of the month meme idea.

I believe this is also the only time I got a kill with a Panzerfaust.

It was a whole bunch of fun! He played a good variety of songs from his original Catalogue to the newer ones! I really liked how they had intermissions showing some of his skits in between the dress change. It’s so cool to see he’s still preforming after all this time. Only thing I miss is he didn’t sing Albuquerque which is my favorite Weird Al song!
