I need help deciding what CPU and GPU I should get for my sim racing setup, and I gotta keep it around $1k. Originally I was thinking Ryzen 5 7600x (which is 330$ with a motherboard) + an Radeon RX 7700 XT (~$400), which comes down to 730-750$, so im left with around 300 for RAM, PSU, SSD, and a case. That will probably go over 1k, so I was wondering if theres another budget option that im missing, or if theres a more optimal combo for my usecase? I'm genuinely JUST using this PC for sim racing, with the occasional CAD/Engineering stuff but I can run that software on my mac so shouldnt be a problem. LMK if yall have any good reccomendations

I've upgraded my sim racing setup and now im left with 700$-750$ for a PC (I switched from PS5). Im honestly completely lost rn coz ive never built a pc before, never even owned one...I need help building a PC that ill use literally only for sim racing, maybe the occasional CAD/Engineering related stuff for my classes. Im gonna run 1440p on a 34" curved monitor, im hoping I can get north of 100 fps but idk how possible that is. also Im familiar with the basics and common components/CPU & GPU names, just not the specifics like threads/cores, vram, etc. I heard for sim racing its slightly more cpu intensive but still requires good gpu, it requires sufficient memory, and for GPU needs at least 12-16gb VRAM. Other than that im pretty lost...

Ive been sim racing on a belt driven wheel for a while now, mainly playing acc, and Ive been using a playstation 5 so far. Im looking to upgrade to a simagic alpha evo and switching to PC, but the sim rig costs around 1.3K so im left with around 700$ to build a PC to keep it within budget. I know this might be a good question to ask in r/buildapc but since im looking for a sim racing optimized build I thought I might ask yall this...I will only be using it for sim racing, specifically LMU and ACC on 1440p, and will probably use it for CAD/engineering stuff lightly. I had a build saved a year and a half ago, but with RAM and GPU prices so high, that build is now like 900$...Any reccomendations? (mb for the yap just look at the middle if u dont wanna read ts)
