Standard-type pocket dreadnought

Lightly armored and armed, I built fifty of these from 1904-1910. I refit them from 1910-1911, and they will continue serving my fleet until they sink.

I funded this through war with spain and fucking around South America with 50 heavy cruisers from 1901-1905

Why is the Italian F-104G at 11.0?

Cons

  • Can't turn fast enough to dogfight (except with flaps, which cause extreme energy loss)
  • Missiles have a standoff range of 2.5 KM (4km in ideal conditions)
  • Doesn't have the acceleration necessary for dogfighting
  • Can't intercept due to enemies being better in nearly every way except speed
  • Can't use speed except at high altitude, where the new MiG-25 (also 11.0) shreds it
  • It's IRL intended role of ground attack can't even be done, because of enemy missiles.
  • Can bomb bases... except it won't be the first to get there.

Pros

  • Can carry incendiaries
  • Decent countermeasures
  • Insane climb speed

Why is the F-104G at 11.0? Surely with only two missiles and being outclassed by the majority of other aircraft at it's BR, it'd make more sense at slightly lower BR (10.3-10.7~)?

I'd like to hear opinions. At least gun kills in it are fun.

My first attempt at a stock car.

Consolidated Steelworks' Falcon M1975 Super Sport. Used in Dalluhan autoracing from 1975-1983. Boasts 430 horsepower and an extremely light frame.

I figured Dalluha would have different stock racing styles compared to real life, so went with that idea. The Falcon is a 4-door sedan, with earlier models such as the M1968 used for passenger services.

Critique as to getting better at the game?

Is there a mod that makes the enemy ai make more realistic ships?

Or even a pack of shared designs.

I'm tired of seeing 80000 tons behemoths!

I want to see realistic designs!

Not every country could build a god-killer. In a Soviet game from 1920-1950, over the decades, I beat multiple 75000 tonners with a pair of 22000 ton battlecruisers. Surely there is a mod that makes such behemoths rarer. Or even a mod that gives countries individual design philosophies!

DIP doesn't seem to help at all. As soon as the clock reaches 1930, I start seeing behemoths.

Anyone know of mods that could help with this?

Problem: after about 4000 liters of water, my injector fails.

The injector itself does fine for 4000 liters. It gets about 25 L/S at peak. But for some reason, it fails at 4000 liters. Help would be appreciated, as this is a non-issue for my other builds.

One of my smallest functional locomotives. (I still kind of suck at this game despite a hundred hours so far).

Duplex tank engine, 4-4-4-4 + 6. Main problem is the injector. Because I couldn't fit a larger pump into it, it runs out of water after a few minutes. Most of my locos are far larger.

What if vegans and electroboos had nuance? Checkmate, vegans.

Instead of saying "meat bad", what if we focused on increasing more efficient ways of gaining meat? What if instead of saying "electric cars are the future", we focused on making smaller, more efficient vehicles, and using hybrids? Lithium in electric cars is terrible for the environment, and hybrids use far less for an albeit smaller increase in efficiency.

And, what if... and don't call me crazy here... we used smaller solutions to work to a greater goal? Wouldn't that be crazy?

What's up with the Monopoly Panini ads I've been getting recently?

https://www.youtube.com/shorts/POQPD8Up9LQ

I don't know why these keep popping up, but it's clearly not a panini press, it's something about cards? I skip them, so I don't know exactly.

Edit: I realize now this wasn't clear, I'm also seeing these ads on billboards? Why has a company paid so much for advertising?

When multiplayer goes right, it's mildly disturbing.

Went Imperial Germany, got Raeder, and played entirely defensively. Only expansion was Danzig for Guarantees. Soviets invaded in 1940, causing France to create the Coalition of the Willing. Austria went Austria-Hungary and reformed the central powers, invading me in mid 1942. Map is late 1942, with a slow reclamation of South Germany and a buildup for the invasion of Austria.

Why do bombers in War Thunder spawn at below average raid altitudes? This seems like a major part of why bombers are doing so poorly.

Average bombing height was 20000-30000 feet according to sources about the Eighth Air Force. That's 6000-9000 meters. Bombers in War Thunder, including high-altitude bombers, spawn at lower altitudes even in realistic. In simulator, there's time to climb to altitude, which makes bombers better. This is not a "bombers need a buff" post, but this is a genuine question.

Sticking a 155 MM in a plane.

This is the IHDF-LRHM-1938, under my new designation system (realized it wasn't specific enough). LRHM being Long-Range, Heavy, Marine attack. Anti-shipping. It has four 600 kw engines based off the DB 601, twinned in two pods like the DB 610.

The 155mm gun is recoilless. In game, its made recoilless by putting a second cannon reversed behind it.

What if with the death of Franz Ferdinand, the Pope declared a Tenth Crusade targeting Serbia?

Seeing as royalty in Europe was seen as holy, I wonder this. Franz Ferdinand was the Archduke of Austria, and successor to the Austro-Hungarian empire, so not as holy, but still ordained by heaven as it were.

you can apparently connect a jet engine with a heavily overbored piston engine to make a mechanical starter.

Useful for low-power turbines and extremely high-power turbines, both of which can't spin up easily. I'm interested that this works, and will be making a massive engine to abuse this.
