119 Days of "Verification" – Why Is the Tulu Language Officialisation Report Still in Limbo?

It has now been 119 days since the Gayatri Committee submitted its report on the official recognition of Tulu to the Government of Karnataka. Yet, according to official RTI responses, the report remains under "preliminary verification."

At what point does "verification" become an unreasonable administrative delay?

The committee was appointed by the government, completed its work, and submitted its recommendations. However, there is still no public timeline, no Action Taken Report, and no indication of when a decision will be made.

To push for greater transparency, Taulava Gēl Inaya Koolya (TGIK) has formally taken the issue to the Karnataka Vidhana Sabha, seeking accountability and movement on a report that has already been completed.

We are not asking for another committee or another study. We are asking the government to act on the report it commissioned and to communicate its decision transparently. If the delay continues, additional lawful avenues—including further RTI proceedings and, if appropriate, judicial remedies—may be considered.

You can read our latest legislative submission and view the supporting documents here:

I'd like to hear your thoughts:

- Is keeping an expert committee report under "verification" for nearly four months reasonable?

- Should such reports be made public immediately after submission?

- What peaceful and democratic steps can citizens take to ensure greater transparency and timely decision-making on issues like this?

Title: RTI Strike for Tulu Transparency — Don't Let the Gayathri Report Disappear

The Tulu Language Gayathri Report was submitted to the Karnataka government more than 90 days ago. Yet the public still does not know its status, its recommendations, or what action has been taken.

This is why Taulava Gēl Inaya Koolya (TGIK) has already used the RTI process and filed a First Appeal seeking answers from the Department of Kannada & Culture.

But one RTI is not enough.

If you care about Tulu, file your own RTI.

Ask:

• What is the current status of the Gayathri Report?

• Has the government accepted or rejected any

recommendations?

• When will the report be released to the public?

• What steps are being taken regarding Tulu language recognition?

A coordinated, lawful RTI campaign can make it much harder for important public documents to be ignored or delayed.

At the same time, Tulu's future should not become a vehicle for personal political credit.

If Tulu receives official recognition, that achievement will belong to generations of Tuluvas, activists, scholars, writers, researchers, community organizations, and ordinary citizens who kept the language alive—not to any single politician.

The focus should remain on transparency, accountability, and concrete action rather than on who gets the credit.

If you support Tulu, consider filing an RTI and encouraging others to do the same.

Taulava Gēl! ❤️🤍

This is an old stain (I think curry) on a cotton Shirt that I really like.
I'm not sure how I got this stain but since I usually only wear it for wedding functions, my best guess would be curry stain (Turmeric, coconut, chilli, pepper and other spices combo)
The stain is over 6 months old.
The shirt was probably ironed once after that.
I tried baking soda + Lemon + detergent + Hydrogen peroxide combo but the stain did not even fade. What are my solutions?
