Thoughts on sandbagging in tekken?

Currently at the point in T8 where I just really enjoy pushing buttons. Whenever I wanna play tekken I just load up ranked even if I don’t feel like playing to perform well.

Currently at G.O.D4 with multiple G.O.D 3 characters. I know in other games sandbagging is looked down upon but I don’t even lose half the games I sandbag.

How do I hit my shots against an opponent who’s keeping me occupied dodging?

I’m playing a lot of 1v1s to get a hang of fighting characters, but I’m having trouble breaking tracking on moves and getting damage on my opponent on characters like dark star and dead master.

I wanna know how to shoot better and break tracking for good on moves that just follow me or hover around me
