Capital One credit card refusing to give email contact details

Hi folks

Please excuse me if this is the wrong place to ask but I feel like I'm being mistreated by Capital One

I rented a hire car abroad in South Africa, returned it and got an email back with a pdf titled "cancellation of authorisation".

It's just a document stating the holding deposit on my credit card can be cancelled. I'm supposed to forward it to capital one so they can release the funds. I've rented cars before and I'll admit it's a bit unusual, normally this happens automatically. However not here with this company, oh well.

After chatting with a support bot for a bit I spoke with someone at capital one. I tell them the situation, they say I should speak back to the rental company and say just release it please.

You can probably guess what happens next. The rental company says no they can't, you have to get capital one to release it. So I'm back and forth now. After explaining what happened back to capital one, I say please can I just get an email to sort this out. Surely there's someone who can take a look. They said I can fill out a transaction dispute form but the money is pending and doesn't even show up on my account.

Prepaid electricity only getting 31kWh from R200 top up

Hi folks. It's my first time living somewhere with pre-paid electricity. I've been staying a week and the meter is eating R200 every 3-4 days. We are 2 people living in a small apartment, geyser on only when needed and no dishwasher or washing machine.

I see the average price in Joburg is around R3.80 per kWh. I'm staying in Krugersdorp and my calculations say that I'm paying around R6.45 per kWh.

Why am I paying so much? I'm topping up using the FNB app

Stuck nut removed successfully

I've owned and self maintained scooters for 5 years and never had a nut stuck like this before. It took heat, penetrant and a good 10-15 seconds of ugga dugga for this shit to break loose.

Looking for dog headphones

This is a serious question. Can anyone recommend the best noise cancelling system to take a dog onboard a light aircraft.

My assumption is a conventional headset in the 1st image looks most practical, however the practicality of a sleeve also looks good.

Thanks

Pilot bathroom and kitchenette

Folding bed

Any suggestions welcome, thanks folks

Concerned about fitment on an is250 2008

Hi folks, seen this kit online. I already have a sony double din unit, I'm looking to replace a Chinese android system because of sound quality issues.

The 3rd and 4th photos are another kit, can't find photos of CTKLXO1. My problem is I don't know for sure if it's gonna fit, seems like a listing error because it looks like is200 only.

It seems like I'm paying way too much on utilities for a 2 bedroom

Living in Midrand in a complex

The levies cost is way more than other stuff I've seen online. Not a fancy complex I'm staying. Also sewage cost is very high and fixed at 800 every month. Maybe I'm using too much electricity, however me and my girlfriend are not typically watching much TV and have heating for an hour each night only, nothing excessive.

My girlfriend posted a video of her passport on Facebook. Is it worth getting a new one?

Hi folks

Basically as the title says. She got very excited about her new passport and posted a video on her public Facebook story. She was flicking through the pages and exposed her details. Someone could definitely screenshot and make out both her ID and passport number. As soon as I saw the story I got her to take it down.

Hopefully nothing bad happens, however what can she do to rectify this?

I'll also need it to do basic 2 minute countdowns and stuff.

Does a product like this exist?

Gilera Runner 180 at a local Casino

It's been here for years and years. Just used as a prop, I kicked it over when nobody was looking and the engine seems healthy. Absolutely no rust what so ever as it's in perfect dry storage pretty much

What are the thinking man's car facts?

I'll start with a few expert opinions I've heard.

- You tell can the quality of a manufacturer by listening to the door close

- Premium petrol is a scam

- The M6 toll is a scam

- anything over 200hp is excessive

- the thinker prefers driving a manual for fuel economy reasons

Helping my girlfriend get into perfumes

Hi folks, I have a modest fragrance collection and my girlfriend has recently taken interest in starting her own. I helped her out with a starter pack of some replica bottles of scandal, Chanel, dolce etc. She's interested in exploring a bit to some of her own now.

The way I hear about new fragrances and recommendations is on social media. Noel Deyzel on Instagram is pretty helpful to hear about new fragrances and the comment section helps add context and mass opinions. Are there female influencers who fit this profile for women's fragrances?
