For any one looking for gym ?

I’m planning to start going to the gym and have been checking out gyms nearby. The cheapest one I found with decent equipment is Easy Fit, and they have a 12 person offer for just ₹4.5k per year. I can’t afford an expensive gym membership right now due to some personal reasons, so this offer would really help.

The gym at college is extremely crowded, and when I tried going there, I noticed that some of the machines weren’t properly maintained. So I’m considering Easy Fit instead.

I’ve already managed to get 6 people interested, and I’m looking for 6 more to complete the offer.

If anyone is interested or knows anyone, please comment .

Guys, I need someone to take over my PG room. Please help

Hi everyone,

I recently booked a PG near SRM, but my friends and I have now decided to rent an apartment together. The problem is that the PG owner won't return my advance unless I find someone to replace me.

PG Details:

📍 Around 300 m from SRM (Law College side)

❄️ AC rooms available

👥 3-sharing: ₹12,000/month

👥 4-sharing: ₹10,000/month(I have to find one for any of these two)

Facilities:

Good food (4 non-veg meals per week)

Daily room and toilet cleaning

Wi-Fi

Washing machine

Bed, cot, and pillow provided

Light cooking allowed

Pg name : vishnupriya gents hostel and pg

The only reason I'm moving is because all my friends decided to stay together in an apartment.

If anyone is looking for a PG or knows someone who is, please DM me. I really need to find a replacements soon, otherwise I'll lose my advance, and we may also lose the apartment we planned to rent.

Thanks in advance

Kerala declared a holiday for schools and colleges tomorrow because of the FIFA World Cup final.

The state of Kerala declared a holiday for students on Monday so they could watch the FIFA World Cup final without worrying about school the next morning.

The final kicks off at 12:30 AM local time in Kerala, so students would otherwise have had to choose between watching one of the biggest sporting events in the world and getting enough sleep for school.

It's less about one country winning and more about everyone celebrating the game together. For students, this holiday is just the perfect ending to the World Cup.

Am i behind at 24 ?

I'm 23 , and lately I've been feeling really insecure about where I am in life.

I graduated in 2023. My grades weren't great, but I managed to get a job as a data analyst. I worked there for about a year and a half. Looking back, I don't feel I didn't build any skills.

My original plan was to do my master's in Australia. I got admitted to a prestigious university. I paid the tuition fees, rented a place, and everything was almost ready. But the closer I got to leaving, the more I questioned whether it was worth it. The tuition fee alone was going to cost more than ₹55 lakhs, and I couldn't convince myself that any degree was worth putting in that kind of financial burden.

So I made what felt like the biggest decision of my life. I dropped the plan.

I was terrified to tell my parents about not going abroad. I expected disappointment or anger . Surprisingly, they were incredibly understanding. That gave me a lot of relief.

I still wanted to pursue a master's, so I decided to stay in India and enrolled in a private university in Chennai for Data Science.

Everything was fine until I went for document submission.

That's when reality hit me.

Most of the students I saw looked 20 or 21. Suddenly I felt old. I know I'm only 23(will turn 24 this year), but I couldn't stop comparing myself. I started thinking that I was behind in life, that everyone else was moving faster than me.

The funny thing is, I don't even feel like a "mature adult." I still want to enjoy college life, make friends, have fun, join clubs, and create memories. But now I'm worried I'll be the older guy in the class who doesn't fit in.

I know this probably sounds silly, but it's been on my mind constantly.

Has anyone else started their master's a little later than everyone else? Did you ever feel out of place because of your age? How did it turn out?

Got it in time

Was casually walking around Phoenix Marketcity Chennai when the Apple price hike news dropped. Immediately rushed to Croma inside the mall to check the pricing and offers.

Got extremely lucky with the timing.

Price breakdown:

- MRP: ₹1,19,800

- SBI Credit Card discount : ₹1,07,910

- Student discount: ₹98,910 final price

The funny part is that I had literally gone to my university today just for document submission after getting admitted. Classes haven't even started yet, but they issued my student ID card on the spot. That ID ended up qualifying me for the student discount.

So despite Apple pulling the BTS price hike, I somehow managed to grab it at the old pricing with all the discounts stacked.

One of those rare moments where everything just lined up perfectly even at the wrong time .

Help me!

I'm starting an MSc in Data Science and need to buy a new laptop. For the last few years, I've been using a desktop, but now I'm moving to a different city and will need a laptop regularly for classes.

After a lot of research, I've decided that I want a MacBook, but honestly, the more I research, the more confused I get.

My initial plan was to buy the MacBook Air M5. However, a friend told me that the difference between the M5 Air and M4 Air is very small for most users, which has made me reconsider whether the M5 is worth the extra money.

A few questions:

Should I buy the MacBook Air M4 or M5?

What RAM and storage configuration would you recommend for a student?

Will 256GB be enough, or should I go for 512GB?

Which color ? (I'm currently undecided between Sky Blue and Midnight.)

My main use case will be

MSc Data Science coursework

Python, SQL,

Machine Learning projects

Data analysis and visualization

General productivity and media consumption

I'd appreciate advice from people who have used either the M4 Air or M5 Air

Due to some personal issues, I can’t ask for money from home right now. What’s the part-time work scene like around SRM? Are there any campus jobs or nearby opportunities where I can manage both studies and work?

Would really appreciate any advice or leads.
