Hello, been trying to get my solar installed and running since March and it’s just been one issue after another. I highly regret choosing the company I went with.

Long story short, it’s installed, connected, permits approved, etc. now all that needs to be done is our utility company needs to do a meter check and replace if needed for bidirectional functionality. I have been waiting over a month now on this step. My solar company told me the delay was due to the utility conpany having issues with their system and causing delays.

I finally reached out to the utility directly and come to find out they’ve been waiting since June to get the proper paperwork, pictures, inspection certificates from my solar company to get us scheduled for the meter job.

I am livid and just don’t know what to do at this point, I sent all this info to the solar company on Thursday and have not heard back. The contact doesn’t give any guarantees about install windows/conpletion but it does say they would make every effort to get it done as quickly as possible which has definitely not been the case.

Just looking for advice from anyone who works at one of these companies, or an electric utility or has been through something similar. Lawyering up seems like an expensive and long route to take when this project is literally one step away from being completed. Thank you for your help! Happy to provide additional info if wanted, but I’d rather not name the company or personal details until this is over.

They are working on fixing the ability for the car to communicate with the CarNet network. I haven't been able to use the App or the SoS feature since Feb.

Thought I was going to be a 1 day fix. 2 days go by without contact so i call them, they tell me they have to get VW to approve whatever work they need to do on warranty coverage and are waiting to hear back, that the process may take 3-4 weeks.

Not too sussed about it, at least they are taking care of it without me having to fight for it, and They gave me a loaner thankfully, but its a Tiguan. I really am not liking going back to a ICE car. Does anyone know if VW dealers keep some EV loaners on hand. I really want to call on Tuesday and see if they will swap me out to another ID.4 or even an ID.Buzz.

Hello! Wondering if anyone has experienced this or something similar and what the outcome was.

My 2023 ID.4 Pro S AWD has been running fine, zero issues except one. It stopped communicating with the cellular network in February. Which wasn't a big deal for me but will be once the cold weather returns and i am not able to remote start anymore.

I took it in for the current Recall, after being told that should fix the issue. Expected them to have it for a day, but today is day 3 and they hadn't called or let me know what was happening, so i called them. I was told that they did the recall but the CarNet service still wasn't working. They needed to reach out to VW Corporate and then to CarNet themselves to be told what they should do now, and that this entire process may take 3-4 weeks.

They gave me a Tiguan loaner, and while i'm not ecstatic about having to worry about fueling up again, I'm fine with it temporarily.

I'm mostly curious how these things often turn out, is replacing the computer/cellular apparatus a possible requirement here? Could this fix end up costing more than the car is worth? Would this end up constituting a buyback?

Took my ID.4 in for the recall and 40k maintenance and got a Tiguan as a loaner, no sunglasses holder in it either. Do they think this is a top tier feature that only their most expensive cars get? What is the cheapest VW that comes with a sunglasses holder?

Didn’t want to buy the battery back up at the time of the contract signing due to cost. But now I have some extra money and wondered if I had to get the solar company or an electrician involved or if I can DIY. I’m talking about buy the official battery that normally comes with the ocean pro.

I have a car i financed at $38k for 6 years at 4.9%. I've been paying it for about 2 years so far. Recently i came into some money and decided to pay $10k of the loan all at once. That was in April.

I have still been making the expect payments ($685) even though it shows my amount due at $0 on my statements. I noticed for the last 2 months, i haven't be charged any interest on this loan an i don't understand why. I assumed i'd still be seeing the expect interest amount for the lower balance, not 0 completely.

Does anyone know why this would be? The $10k went toward the principal as i saw the pay off amount go down $10k after i paid it.

If this is normal, will i start getting charged interest again at some point?

Edit: as I stated above, the balance of the loan went down $10k when I paid the extra. If that’s not indicative of it going to only pay principal, please tell me how.

Coming from Plex where I can just dump episodes of shows into a single folder and it knows what show they are, what session, etc and structures them accordingly.

If I do this with Jellyfin it seems to just count each episode as a unique show so I see a massive list of the same show over and over again. I noticed I can put them into folders with seasons as subfolders but it seems like a daunting task to do this for all my shows. Any easier way?

anyway to completely bypass this sensor? The Quest loads, you can see the meta logo and volume controls when pressed, just black screen otherwise

Not too concerned about having enough battery to run the whole house for an extended period, but if its daytime and I'm waiting on power to be restored, it would be nice if i could actually use what is being produced currently by the panels to keep my fridge/freezer/necessities up and running.
