The beasts were out this time!

After having no luck at the Bronx zoo in April and seeing people share that they saw them there more recently I tried again today and saw them! Second and third pic were through one of the little monocular they have at that exhibit.

Tangle Worm, Cirratulus grandis

These fellas have been driving me nuts for years now since I’ve always seen their tentacular filaments sticking out of the sediment while snorkeling by me (one of my pics is on the second slide) but assumed they were a bunch of seperate worms rather than a single massive one. My mind was boggled when I found out this is what I’ve been seeing and this amazing creature deserves more attention.

A weevil found me a few weeks ago, just got out of the water snorkeling and this little fella was in my mask case when I went to put it away. Luckily I was doing macro photography so I used my camera for a closeup after letting it out.

The immortals have returned!

Made a post about them the first time they showed up in the bay by my house 3 years ago and found out they are Turritopsis nutricula, while not THE immortal jellyfish they’re in the same genus and have the same ability. This time around I have a much better camera so I was actually able to photograph them on their home turf rather than scooping a few into a cup, I know this time there’s not as good of a sense of scale because of that but just know they are tiny, the biggest ones I‘ve seen have a diameter of less than a centimeter.

Sea slugs I found this spring

Got into pier fouling this year, was a nice relaxing activity to do before the water was warm enough to get into and the pier wasn’t too hot to sit down on. The species in order are Nudibranchus scintillans, Sea Angel (Clione limacina), Branched Sapsucker (Placida dendritica), Bushy Backed Nudibranch (Dendronotus frondosus), Club Gilled Nudibranch (Amphorina pallida), and a Rocky Aeolid (Eubranchulus rupium)

Nothing suspicious here

After seeing one of the grey seals at my aquarium hitting the tall pose I started taking pics only for it to side eye me like this

Had a stupid thought and I’m curious what it would be like

What are the 12 songs that come by default on tiels and heres where the thought formed, what would be the 4 TLC (tiel loadable content) tracks be? Its such a stupid connection but I just know it’s gonna be eating away at my brain for the next week or so at minimum so having a concrete answer to what TLC would be might help with that.
