Just for something different i thought I'd post an aussie vanity plate (we call them personalised plates over here). Have been collecting vanity plates for a while now so thought I'd post one.
So in full disclosure i know very little about computers. I had a computer tech mate who gave me this tower case as a present 13 years ago and told me that its a sort after tower. So my question is that apart from the Apple logo is it really anything? Im a car guy and i know what stuff is rare and collectable but when it comes to computers im totally lost! Any help is appreciated

Some pics i took back in 07 at the surfers paradise round. Its been 18 years now since the supercars shared top billing with the indy cars on the gold coast. I'm sure anyone reading this that went to this event back in the early days can attest that it was a pretty wild race both on and off the track (right up until a army helicopter crew flying over the track made the news in about 2005 and forced the QLD govt to clean it up a bit). I'm more of a supercars fan myself but there was nothing like the sheer speed and sound of those indy cars flying past just a couple of metres away.

So i just got sent a few pics from a mate in the US that entered his VE/G8 in a car show over there on the weekend (credit to JustACarNut77 for sending me pics). I've seen pics and vids of few different holden car shows and meet ups over the years in the US and It still amazes me that holden actually ended up selling cars over there (back in the 80's and 90's you would have bet money on that would never happen) but i still makes me disappointed and pissed off that holdens not around anymore.

So back in 2006 me and my missus bought tickets to the black Sabbath tour in Australia. Dio was singing for Sabbath at that time. Ive never shared these photos before and in hindsight im a bit pissed that I didnt take more pictures at the time , so we accidentally ran into dio on the street right outside the pub we were having a few drinks at on the day of the concert, and it turned out to be right across the road from the hotel where dio was staying. We ended up having some drinks at the pub with him and his two 7ft tall bodyguards. Look i dont expect anyone to believe me but he was a genuinely nice guy and I was able to sit with him at a pub for a whole hour and have just have a genuine conversation. He asked us if we had tickets to his show that night and we showed him that we did and he took them off us and said invite 6 more of your friends and there will be 6 back stage passes tickets waiting for you at the front counter. Tickets were waiting in an envelope at the front desk when we got to stadium and my favourite part was that after the concert and we went backstage there must of been 30 other people in this backstage vip room but dio still called me and my missus by name easily by memory. To be honest my missus was more of a dio fan than I was at the time (and after meeting him she lost the ability to speak while around him and thats why i had to sit down and chat with him at the pub !
Ok so full disclosure I'm in my late 50's now and its a little hard to explain this properly but the crue were the ducks nuts back in the 80's and also the early 90's. I'm Australian and have seen them in every concert that they ever have played over here right back to their first one in the 80's (ive got a fair few good home vids from all the concerts going back about 40 years that i can post if anyone is interested). As a die hard fan its honestly a little bit disheartening to see just how they have imploded over the last 20 or so years but there is hardly a day where I dont take my V8 out and crank up wildside on the subs !

The first pic is the HRT transporter truck from around 1994-1995 and the other pics are from the mid 2000's when we bought a 6 speed ZF gearbox off Larry perkins and it got shipped up to the gold coast with the then (holden jack daniels team) for us to collect. We actually took a VS ute with us to pick it up (not pictured) but the gearbox we bought of larry was put in the VN thats in the photos.

Joined all the indian cricket subreddits (just because I'm a cricket tragic and also because i love the game) So anyway there seems to be a lot of posts about Travis head and his wife lately (like a shit load of posts in all indian subreddits). Reddit is where most of us Aussies found out about this incident because except for one tabloid newspaper in south Australia, no other news outlet gave a flying shit about reporting on any of this at all when it happened. Basically its totally not cool that any australian or indian family of a cricketer has to put up with these fucked up threats of rape and harm, but as far as some of the posts and comments say about "giving the Australians and the world" another reason to hate us or be justified in their racism? Give me a fucking break man. Obviously you guys have some issues with a small percentage of unemployed idiots that have access to the internet in your country but so do we. I dont exactly like the threats that ive heard about that were made to Travis's wife and kids but i also dont hate the whole of india for it. Honestly the spirit of cricket couldn't have been better displayed than when warne and Tendulkar set up that rando cricket match in new York, on a baseball field that was shit dimensions for playing a cricket match on, and hardly any Americans even knew it was on but there was a full stadium of Indian expats and all of us in aus stayed up till 3am to watch it live on tv . Can we all just get back to loving the damn game for what it is?
