Hi I boilwashed a dolls hair that id rerooted the scalp was painted with acrylic paint but it was not sealed the paint came away when boilwashed. I did exact same thing on another doll but the paint didnt budge so bit confused whats happened here. Im sure I used the same brand too. Do I need to seal it and with what ? Thanks!!

Hii im new to repainting and doll customising im using a acrylic gloss varnish on my dolls to seal them in some places it works fine but in others such as their hands and shoes its becoming sticky and not really working! I want a matte and a gloss one I live in the UK wanted know what others used to stop this!
Ive added a picture of the sticky hand and the sticky boot which keeps peeling even with varnish. Ive also included what ive used :) thanks!
Im super new to doll customising I seem to be doing okay with the painting and hair etc but the clothes confuse me. Does anyone have any tips for sewing them and making patterns and where to start? Ive made one outfit so far ( it wasn't very good) im borrowing a sewing machine to try but im terrible at it! Any tips would be appreciated ty!
