Fics recs where Lan Qiren is abusive?

Yknow because I feel like bawling my eyes out and ugly sobbing today, so. So, any sort of heavy angst stuff will be fine really.

If anyone has any recs it would be great. Preferably completed though, please. Oh,and no modern era or omegaverse, if possible. Has anyone read any fics like that lately?

Am i the only one who thinks that the names Wangji and Xichen don't really match up?

Jin Zixun and Jin Zixuan. Jinzhu and Yinzhu. Wen Qing and Wen Ning.

Huaisang and Mingjue are apparently half-brothers, so the names not matching up in that case makes sense.

But I feel like Wangji and Xichen feel a bit odd. And didn't Wei Ying say something about the next generation being Ru? Hence Jin Rulan, so if Zixuan and Yanli had lived, and they had another child, that child would have had a 'Ru' name as well.

So, what's going on with Xichen and Wangji? Don't get me wrong, they're both nice names, and they suit teh characters, but they dont really have any theme there? If it were something like Xichen and Xiji, it would make more sense to me. Or maybe Wangchen and Wangji.

And what about Lan Qiren? Does Qingheng-jun's real name start with a Qi? I have a fic where I'm going to give him the name Lan QiLian. And I'm just trying to make it match rather than getting into the deep meanings and all of that, so I'm fine with that name for him in this instance.

But I still dont really get what happened to Xichen and Wangji. Maybe Madam Lan was the one who named them?

Also, a little side note. I always thought that Meng Yao getting the courtesy name Guangyao was just proof that his father never once saw him as legitimate, even after letting him join the clan. because if he did, he would have given him the name Ziyao, right? But Guang is the previous generation, therefore not part of the heirs, so yeah.

Full list of Gusu Lan rules?

So, does anyone know where I can find a list of all the Gusu Lan rules mentioned throughout the novel/series/drama/etc? I know the basic ones you know, "dont talk and eat, " dont touch the forehead ribbon", "go to bed at nine", but does anyone know where I can get a list of them all?

Actually, if anyone has their own personal list where they've filled in the gaps and added their own headcanons, I wouldn't mind that either. It would just be nice to have it on hand to check when I'm writing fics.

Is cyperus rotundus oil worth it or just a waste of time and money?

I see this everywhere lately, but how well does it work? The results look good online, but that could be fake. So I'm not sure whether it's worth getting it.

Are the makeup products on Aliexpress real or just very convincing dupes?

So, I've seen a lot of my favourite makeup brands being sold on Aliexpress (FlowerKnows, Girlcult, etc.). And they are marketed as Girlcult and FlowerKnows, not some knockoff name. But are these products legitimate or just very good dupes? To be honest, I don't mind buying dupes of certain products sometimes to use as spares or filler makeup for practising a look because I don't want to waste good products on practice. But are they real or not? Becasue they pricing is better, but it's still not dirt cheap, and I wouldn't want to spend a decent amount on dupes.

I know Aliexpress is a Taobao reseller, and you can find small businesses and some legitame brand son there, but has anyone actually bought these products?

So, I have the Maybelline Super Stay up to 30H Lumi-Matte Foundation, and I kind of bought it on impulse. It's a good foundation, but I ended up realising that matte finish doesn't really look good on me, and glossy complements my face a lot more.

But I ended up buying two bottles of it, so I can't buy a new product until I finish the first two.

I ended up mixing some oils in to try and make it glossy. Avocado oil and jojoba oil were big mistakes, as they turned it three shades darker, and I looked ridiculous, as it was WAY off my true shade.

But then I had a bit of a mad scientist moment and mixed it in with my Extra Strength OGX Coconut Miracle Oil for Hair (I know, I know, please don't come for me TuT).

It looked amazing, and really glossy, and it made the foundation so much more blendable and glowy, and I was very happy with the result....

The only problem, my skin paid the price, and I had a huge breakout of big, ugly pustule pimples the very next day.

...So I learned my lesson.

But I still want to try to make it glossy. I think the reason why teh first two oils didn't work is that they both have their own colour, and aren't clear.

The hair oil was crystal clear, and I think that's why it looked good. I feel like baby oil would work out well, but does anybody have any better suggestions before I end up ruining my skin for a second time?

So does anyone know where I can find a fic where Lan Wangji akss Wei Ying to go to Gusu for maybe the third time and this time he just begs him on his knees? I'm talking puppy eyed "please please please pleaaaaasssee Wei Yiiing" kind of thing. Maximum pathetic.

Preferably a complete one shot, but I don't mind full fics with multiple chapters. Ao3 would be the best, but I can go other places.

So, I've seen a couple of fics where Wangji ends up dying from the discipline whip, and A'Yuan ends up being raised by Lan Xichen, and I'm actually planning to do that in one of my own fics.

But do you think Lan Xichen would end up choosing the name Sizhui for him? From my (very) basic understanding of the name, it's meant to signify longing and yearning, specifically Lan Wangji yearning for Wei Wuxian.

But if Wangji had died and Lan Xichen raised A'Yuan instead, would he still end up having that name? Maybe the name would be the same, but the implications of it would be different. Instead of yearning for a lover, you would mourn the loss of a brother?

I'm just wondering if him still being called Sizhui works?

So I just frescently finished watching Whispers Of Fate, and I got questions.

Without Yique Yinyang, would Zhuodi House still exist? And without Yique Yinyang, would Fang Zhou still be Seven String Upright sound, or would he just be... some guy?

At the end, the narrator says that the master of the Zhuodi House found a white fox at the foot of the mountain and then taught it musical cultivation for seven years. Which just makes even more questions. The main one being, how do you teach a fox how to play instruments? They then said that Fox apparently turned into a fox dragon and ascended into the sky to stop some sort of calamity.

If he had already stopped Ye Mo, who was Xiao Shi, who was Yique Yinyang, then what calamity was it that he stopped? Because it's not the moment Ye Mo fell to the Divine Continent, that was already stopped by him.

And even if it wasn't stopped by Tang Lici, it wouldn't be at the right point in time, because Ye Mo fell long before any of the main characters reached adulthood. Liu Yan was hunted down by Yiquie YinYang's Bliss Cult when he was about 10 or 12 years old, and was then taken in by Fang Zhuo.

So why did the white fox, who could only really be Tang Lici, have to turn into a fox dragon and go up to the sky to do... whatever it is he was going to do? Liu Yan was an adult in that ending scene, so was he no longer a prphan? Does he have a family somewhere?

It said that Tang Lici went to live among mortals afterwards. Wasn't he already doing that when he was in fox form?
So they mean he managed to cultivate into human form and then went to live alongside humans?
Did he try to reach out to Fang Zhuo again after that happened? Since he already spent seven years with him at Zhuiodi house as a fox.

And ANOTHER THING!

We see Xue  Xianzi looking out at the mountains in one of the ending cutscenes, and the white fox shows up.
But it seems like  Xue Xianzi seems to not only recognise the fox as Tang Lici, it seems like all his memories of the previous timeline are intact. Otherwise, why would he react like that? He even endearingly calls it Xiao Huli, which was his nickname for Tang LiCi.

So does Xue Xuanxi know everything that happened?

I understood everything else in this drama, but what happened to Tang Lici after he reversed time just baffles me.

And if Fang Zhuo taught him musical cultivation as a fox, that means that Fang Zhuo must have been a cultivator at that time. But from my understanding of him, at least I think, didn't he learn musical cultivation due to the uprising of Yique Yinyang?

So, I want to give sugar waxing a try and I've I got most of the process figured out. I know that people say to apply baby powder before waxing so the wax only sticks to the hairs and not the skin. But a lot of baby powder is starch based nowadays, could I get away with just using actual baking corn/potato starch? I feel like there would be too big of a difference and I'd save a little bit of money.
