Cat anxiety help

Please help this first time cat parent..

For context, my cat has always been anxious. She recently turned 1 and she hates loud droning noises, going outside, her pet carrier, and driving.

Moved my girl to my apartment a couple of days ago for college. She immediately ran under the bed and hid the entire day standing in the corner behind my bed. I know cats need around 3 days to get acclimated so I left her alone. During the 3 days, she would not eat or drink water, or even use the litter box.

During the second night, she got out under the bed and began meowing loudly non stop. When morning came she hid back under the bed and the next night she did the same thing.

What does this behavior mean? Is she just scared? How do I get her more comfortable? I could not sleep due to her meowing all night so I had to move her back to my parent’s house where she’s used to living and she immediately began behaving like she usually does. I want to eventually bring her back to live with me, as I already miss her, however what can I do to calm her down?

Thanks guys.

Adobe Acrobat

Does the library have computers with Adobe Acrobat?

I know we get a discounted price but the plan for this year expires on the 31st and I would need to pay the fee again on September 1st to renew.

thanks

2 mile run training: is this the right approach?

Training to get my 2 mile run time down. My PR is 15:33 currently. I know pretty much nothing about running training so I’d appreciate any advice.

What i’ve been doing the last couple of month is:

Day 1: 4 mile run, really easy, conversational pace

Day 2: 3 mile run, pushing pace (\~8 min mile pace)

Day3: 6x400m at 6:30 pace

Is this the right approach to getting my 2 mile run time down? Anything I should be changing to optimize training? Thanks all.

extremely light primer strike?

working on breaking in my Zenith ZF5P and got thru about 200 rounds today. I had a couple of failure to ejects but I also had a few light primer strikes. The rounds look like they weren’t even struck at all even though i audibly heard the hammer release. I shot the rounds on my glock to see if it was the bullet or the gun and they fired the first time on the glock.

I know i’m not thru the break in period yet but i’m just curious if anybody else ran into this issue. Any clue on why this is happening?

Thanks for any insight!

Holosun with a weird dot?

When I bought my 507C from Academy, i remember there being a dot with a funky name being sold next to it. I was curious so i googled it and found that It had a center dot and then a huge broken ring around it. i’m assuming the huge ring was used as just a reference point to find the center dot.

I cannot for the life of me find what that dot is. can someone ID? if i remember correctly it looked exactly like a 507c, the only difference being the dot shape. i added a crude picture for reference.

(not a 507 comp, the dot i saw was even bigger than the comp dot)

if im somehow making this up i apologize but i am looking to buy it (if it even exists lol). thanks all

gear question - two piece belt setup

I have a 2 piece belt setup that i have for SHTF and for range days.

I did my first level 1 IDPA match a couple of weeks ago and they were cool with my belt during the match.

i’m signed up for another match coming up but haven’t had the chance to get a proper set up.

are clubs usually cool with letting newbies shoot their first couple matches with whatever set up they have? i want to shoot a couple more matches before i invest in a proper setup

i know there is an exception in the rules regarding LEO and active duty military, however
not sure if that applies to me since i’m a vet now.

summer aid weird situation

sorry for another summer aid question.

i initially filled out the summer aid interest form with the intention of enrolling full time over the summer at UNT. got a summer aid award letter reflecting my potential full time status.

ended up enrolling full time at a community college + only 3 credit hours at UNT over the summer. got an email saying my summer aid award letter is not valid anymore because of this as i need at least half time to be eligible for summer aid. after speaking with FA, i added 3 more credit hours to my schedule at unt to get me to 6 credit hours for half time and resubmitted the summer aid interest form.

i still have not received an update award letter, what should i do? i tried contacting conical aid but they don’t seem to know either so i thought id ask here.

thanks all

TDSA 2 gun match

Looking to do my first 2 gun match at TDSA and wanted some insight.

How long are y’all usually out there for?

Is it beginner friendly? I know my way around a rifle, just wondering usually how receptive folks who compete at 2 guns are to ppl who never competed in this space before.

thanks all!
