Design Draftsman job on IEC Visa

Looking to move out to Vancouver on an IEC visa and was wondering if anyone had done this and picked up an engineering draftsman job?

I’m from the UK and have 15 years experience (31) in engineering drafting in the UK, Norway, Gulf of Mexico, Africa and Caspian Sea. I also have a degree, from LinkedIn the market looks pretty busy with roles being struggled to be filled, but I’m unsure what my chances of getting a gig would be coming over on an IEC visa.

I understand you need a P.Eng to work as an engineer but my understanding is that you don’t need this as a draftsman. Would getting my AsCT help?

Instrument Designer Canada

Any instrument designers in Canada? How’s the market and pay?

I am currently in the UK (born and raised) and have around 15 years experience in the UK, Norway, Caspian Sea, Africa and Gulf of Mexico and a degree from a UK university.

Looking to move to Vancouver on an IEC visa and wondered how my chances are of getting a gig, LinkedIn looks to be pretty busy with a lot of jobs popping up every week.

I know engineers need a P.Eng but don’t think this applies to Designers but would getting my AScT accreditation help?

Companion Voucher and 2 Barclays Upgrade Vouchers

I have a companion voucher in my name and my wife has 2 x Barclay Upgrade Vouchers in her name.

I was wondering if there was a way that we could use these to take our friends on a trip with our combined Avios as a party of 4. I know that we could add them to our household Avios account.

Would it be a case of me booking my flight with my friend and my wife booking her flight with her friend separately and phoning BA to combine the bookings?

Adam’s Hosting

Recently got into the podcast and have been working my way through the episodes.

One thing that I have noticed is how much skill Adam has as the host, the way he is able to weave in Dave and Charlie for the same amount of balanced air time, let them speak and keep the momentum going is better than 99% of other rabbling podcasts talking over each other.

For me he has the podcast hosting panache and guile of a prime Sergio Busquests, talented in his own right but lifting others and letting them shine, for me it’s a real breath of fresh air, fair play.
