Zotero on Android - library files?

With the Zotero on Android, are we supposed to be able to download files from the library if we have files sync'd?

I'm syncing my account library. I am using a Supernote and can see the library. Now, I click on a file and see the button changes from a pdf icon with "?" (telling me it's not downloaded) to a "stop button", which tells me something should be happening. But it doesn't show a progress bar telling me it's actually downloading, and nothing ever opens.

I would love to be able to just upload files to Zotero and use that as my main reader. Right now I upload to Zotero and separately to my device.

Thank you for any insights on how to use Zotero for reading on my android run device!

Car in the Poudre

Anybody know the story behind this crash in the Poudre last night [~7:30pm on 08.08.2026]? Car was across the river and almost perfectly parked. Hope everyone is okay.

Digest sync

Has anyone found a way to have digest entries automatically sync to Obsidian? Perhaps with Readwise?

Yesterday I had do search for a note I vaguely remembered taking but couldn’t remember where. Obsidian is where I’m trying to centralize exactly for this reason. After a while I thought I may be on digest and it was. Would have saved me sometime if I had it synced to obsidian for the search.

Podcasts as a source

I use Obsidian for a lot of research, Zotero for managing sources.
Recently I realized what a great source podcast episodes can be. That led me to Snipd. I like how I can “snip” sections, and import into Obsidian. This allows me to potentially use them as sources I can cite.

But I’m not too happy with:
Lack of desktop player
Sometimes convoluted player
Difficult to find the episodes I’m interested in
Doesn’t give me a source link, just the Snipd link, which if I reference others can’t play without also having the app (eg can’t play on a desktop)

In sum, it’s a great resource but seems like there should be a better tool for this purpose.

Any suggestions on alternatives?

Or, any suggestions on a Snipd query template or other tips that may work well?

Transferring recordings via desktop, skipping phone

When using my Plaud Note Pro, it seems like I need to transfer the recordings to my phone first to then be able to access it through the website.

Is there anyway I could use my computer to retrieve recordings from the device? Sometimes I'd really prefer to skip my phone if I can as it is one more step in between where I will mostly pull my notes and the device.

2002 Weekender Aux Battery not charging

Ok, I swear I have already spent about 3 hours searching and trying to find the answer here, via AI, YouTube, Samba, etc - tho I fully expect someone may quickly point out the answer is right there.

With that out of the way, I’m really struggling troubleshooting my Aux battery charging this time.

I’ve had the van for several years now. First time with this issue that I’m hoping to fix myself. Recently it looks like the aux battery is not charging. Car on and the terminals reading at 4.1V. Took battery, which is still under warranty, to Interstate and they confirmed battery is still good. Plus, since voltage is low at terminals figure it’s something upstream.

I replaced the cheap switch (the 167 box near the fuses by it). I can’t find an any bad fuses either.

What else can it be? I have come across isolator issues, but usually what I find in videos is that it looks like a metal cylinder by the main battery. But I can’t seem to find one here. Any tips on what to look for next? Is there anything else I ought to be looking at?

Super appreciate any help!

Curious about your quick capture workflow

Occasionally I’m in the middle of something where I don’t want to stop but really want to capture a thought that will fit well into my obsidian vault. I just want to capture a handful of words so later I can revisit it and create a proper note for self on the topic. This usually happens when my phone is with me, not on a computer.

I’m using an iPhone. Wish I could do a long press of the app to bring up an option to insert into today’s note as a “review these”. I don’t know if I like the idea of creating a new note for these as I later have to remember to find it and work on it. I’m playing around with options.

What have you found to be the best way to very quickly capture these into Obsidian so you can later work on it a bit more to connect dots and incorporate into your work?

Have had my Plaud for a couple of months, and so far it’s been flawless. But today I recorded an important meeting for which I could have used points from the summary right after. Yet it is stuck and not generating any summaries.
I first tried it on my phone, as I usually do. Then desktop. And it’s just stuck “generating” but never putting out a summary.

The transcript is there.

Anyone know what may be going on?
