Final r/Yutaliban EoS Match-Up Tierlist

Thank you to all who participated in the r/Yutaliban EoS Yuta Match-Up Tierlist

Image 1: Characters in the tier in which they had the most votes. Ordered by who had the highest percentage within that tier (Geto had the highest percentage for Mid-diff)

Image 2: Characters are ranked using Wilson score confidence intervals to account for different poll sizes and then if two categories were nearly tied, they were placed into an in-between tier. This better reflects characters who were close such as Yuji who missed high-diff by about 3 votes

Below I have attached two tables. One that shows all the poll results in alphabetical order. The second table is a point system

Also, only "Core Contributor" (active within the community) votes were counted as this was an r/Yutaliban poll. Non-Core Contributor votes were not counted. This makes sure only r/Yutaliban is voting and reduces any possible poll manipulation, brigading, alt accounts, etc

Whether someone can understand CS+Decap or not is a genuine cognitive test of whether or not they can understand conditional hypotheticals

You may have heard the question "how would you feel if you hadn't eaten breakfast in the morning?"

The purpose of this question is to test whether you can understand conditional hypotheticals.

If you answer something to the effect of "I would feel hungry" then you pass, as you have understood the condition (if X did/didn't happen) and answered with your own hypothetical

If you answer something to the effect of "but I did eat breakfast this morning" then you fail as you are not engaging with the hypothetical but can only understand the question as a true/false statement of what actually happened this morning

>A hypothetical is an imaginary situation, statement, or concept assumed to be true for the sake of analysis, debate, or argument.

CS+decap is like this but w/ two conditions

"what would happen if a character was hit by "Don't Move" and then stabbed through the head with Yuta's Katana?"

So you have to understand not just the singular effect of hunger and whether or not you hypothetically have eaten but being able to understand the hypothetical condition of a character being frozen from "Don't Move" and simultaneously the condition of them being stabbed

It's a two step conditional hypothetical and that is why one of the most common "rebuttals" to CS+decap is that "Yuta hasn't ever done that"

There are people legitimately are unable to comprehend a single conditional hypothetical. Let alone a situation that combines two

[Serious] How Yuta hard counters Cursed Spirits

There are 3 main ways that Yuta hard counters Cursed Spirits

  1. RCT Output
  2. Angel's CT
  3. Cursed Speech

RCT OUTPUT - Using RCT, positive energy, to erase the Cursed Spirit, that is composed of negative energy.

Curses are made of Cursed Energy [Slide 1]

^(JJK Fanbook:)

>CURSED SPIRITS
An accumulation of negative [cursed] energy leaked from within a person. A curse that has taken form is called a "cursed spirit".

Reverse Cursed Technique is when a sorcerer multiples cursed energy against itself to create positive cursed energy.

^(JJK Fanbook:)

>REVERSE (反転 - hanten)
Reverse Cursed Technique produces “positive” energy. Multiplying negative cursed energy with negative cursed energy produces positive cursed energy. This is called Reverse Cursed Technique, and enables physical recovery.

As Cursed Spirits are made of negative energy, coming into contact with positive energy erases the very thing they're made of [Slide 2]. Yuta is able to take this positive cursed energy and Output it as a weapon against Cursed Spirits, known as RCT Output [Slide 3].

  1. Yuta can Output RCT through his palms, mouth [Slide 4], and sword [Slide 3, 5]
  2. Yuta can Output RCT through his sword fast enough to instantaneously heal Yuji the moment he died [Slide 5]. It is not a slow process and channeling it through his katana allows Yuta to erase Liquid Metal while also staying at a safe distance.
  3. Rika explicitly can Output RCT too [Slide 6], double the trouble

It's often pointed out based on what Ryu says after Yuta kills Kurorushi that RCT Output won't kill regardless of where it hits, it still needs to hit a vital point. But in Shibuya, when Maho's RCT blade hits Sukuna's arm, Sukuna says this would have killed him had he been a Cursed Spirit [Slide 7], so how can both be true?

^(JJK Fanbook:)

>SWORD OF EXTERMINATION (Vol. 14, Ch. 118)
The sword of shikigami Mahoraga specializes in destroying cursed spirits. The blade is enveloped with the same positive energy as Reverse Cursed Technique and is capable of obliterating a cursed spirit with a single blow.

The answer is because to Cursed Spirits, RCT is dura-neg. As RCT erases what they are made of, Mahoraga's blade would have went clean through Sukuna's arm and continue downwards into his head and chest, killing him [Slide 8]

If a Cursed Spirit is up against RCT Output, blocking is never an option. RCT Output will go straight through the block, such as Yuta using his RCT Output through his katana, and be able to land in a lethal spot.

RCT Output massively hard counters Cursed Spirits because in a Curse's vital spot, RCT Output is an insta-kill. Elsewhere, RCT Output is dura-neg which can easily lead into an insta-kill.

Angel's CT (Technique Extinguishment)

This post won't cover Angel's CT in it's entirety, if you want to read more about this CT you can here.

This post will just point out that like RCT Output, Angel's CT targets CE directly [Slide 9]. This means like RCT Output, Angel's CT will erase the very thing a Cursed Spirit is composed of.

Gege's statement on Angel's CT working directly on CE was not specific to either TE Aura or Jacob's Ladder, meaning it applies to both.

We even see Angel use TE aura to clear a group of curses [Slide 10, 11]

Cursed Speech

Cursed Speech is soundwaves infused with Cursed Energy that is highly effective against Curses [Slide 12]. Inumaki repeatedly uses CS against Hanami with her unable to block any of his attempts.

Cursed Speech has many various commands. The ones most relevant for how Yuta hard counters Cursed Spirits are going to be "Don't Move", "Die", "Explode", and "Get Crushed"

"Don't Move" is Yuta's most popular command. How it works is obvious enough. He can stop a Cursed Spirit in place creating an opportunity to follow up with a powerful attack that exorcises it.

Yuta uses "Die!" against Geto's Curse Swarms, who can be reinforced, with no drawback [Slide 13]. This gives him an easy way of clearing Curse Swarms. Inumaki uses a variant of this, "Explode!", against a different Curse Swarm [Slide 14]

Another relevant command often not brought up much is "Get Crushed!" [Slide 16, 17]. We see Grade 2 Inumaki [Slide 18] use this against a Semi-Grade 1 Curse [Slide 16] with no shown drawback [Slide 19]

This is significant because according to Sorcerer rankings, a Grade 2 Sorcerer and a Semi-Grade 1 Curse are relative to each other in strength [Slide 20]

This means Yuta can effectively insta-kill any Curse relative to him in power, with a single command.

Conclusion:

Yuta has several ways to easily hard-counter Cursed Spirits meaning any fight against a Cursed Spirit is effectively going to be a neg-diff battle

Dagon is also complete fodder to Yuta

  1. slow ass attacks intercepted and one tapped by an injured Nanami

  2. weak ass attacks blocked and one tapped by Shibuya Maki

  3. getting tossed around by Shibuya Maki. Blocking w/ his arms = death

https://www.reddit.com/r/JujutsuPowerScalers/s/ZQRj1kYJC2

  1. complete dogshit Sure Hit. The damage it did to Nanami w/ no anti Domain and even the damage it did to Naobito is something Yuta would easily heal

https://www.reddit.com/r/JujutsuPowerScalers/s/rvaNS0nE3T

Yuta in Dagon's Sure Hit would be a recreation of Gojo standing in Sukuna's Malevolent Shrine. This shit is legitimately embarrassing

He's never landing this vs Yuta but the point is to simply show how absolute ass his AP is. If his Sure Hit cannot kill G1s, his regular attacks will do nothing to Yuta

  1. Getting tossed around by an unstacked Naobito. The things Rika would do to this octopus are unspeakable

  2. massively outpaced by Toji. It's very easy to get Yuta at least relative to Toji. So on top of Dagon's AP being absolute dogshit, he won't even be able to consistently land the attacks that will do effectively nothing

I haven't even brought up Cursed Speech or Technique Extinguishment yet either. This is just pure base Yuta

Again, DCs vs Yuta is basically Mahito and Jogo vs Yuta. Hanami and Dagon are so massively outclassed it's embarrassing

[Serious] Who, alongside Pre-Awk Yuji, has Sukuna looking like this when they're done?

Who, with pre-Awk Yuji's help, has Sukuna looking like this when they're done fighting (defeated, etc)

Aside from Yuta obviously. This isn't a trick question

u/Hour_Tomatillo_2365 — 6 days ago

[Serious] It seems like people ignore this

Megumi is thinking and the mid thought "why are they holding stunguns if--", the soldiers fire on him

Then we see after the shot, Megumi reacts and then has successfully dodged behind the pillar

Google says a rifle can fire a bullet 1,500-2,200 mph, easily faster than PB

What do you think of this feat?

Seems there's either two options

  1. Megumi is fast af which breaks a lot of scaling as he's generally weaker. A lot of people scale above him

  2. Aside from nothing explicit in the text, we're supposed to understand this scene as Takaba basically preventing any of the guns from actually working

[Serious] So when did Rika became Mechamaru, able to bypass her regular Output to Output several years worth of CE in a single attack??

Title. When did Rika suddenly gain the ability to supposedly Output several years of CE in a single attack, bypassing her Output limit? (which we know she has from the Main Series. When she goes FM: Eye Open her Output is mentioned)

This suggests Yuta's CE control is good enough Kusakabe didn't feel it was worth pointing out

This suggests Yuta's CE control is good enough Kusakabe didn't feel it was worth pointing out

When Gojo says Yuta's CE is all over the place, he follows it up w/ has Kusakabe not said anything about that

If you don't know, Kusakabe is the Y2 teacher. The one responsible for Yuta, Maki, Inumaki, and Panda but we can see from their reactions that this seems to be something only Gojo has said

Meaning Kusakabe considers Yuta's CE control at least satisfactory

This adds to the idea Gojo has abnormally high standards for Yuta. We see elsewhere, Gojo says he believes Yuta may be more blessed than him and relates reaching that potential (superior to Gojo) to fixing his CE control

Gojo's standards for Yuta are clearly abnormal

Compare this to Kusakabe's reaction to Bumji. The very first thing Kusakabe says once he finds out about Soul Swap Training is that he's going to personally fix Yuji's control 😂. He then beats the shit out of him, (muh H2H king instantly being folded by a G1 when he loses his superhuman body) while telling Yuji get a hang of it (what exactly? Probably CE control)

So W Yuta, L Luji

[Casual] Reminder all these attacks, including a full power 20F Shrine, did 0 damage to Yuji's gauntlets

All these attacks, including a 20F Shrine, did literally 0 damage to Yuji's gauntlets. They were at exactly 100% durability, no more, no less, when they broke.

Unless you have an attack massively stronger than a 20F domain-amped Cleave, you literally cannot even damage Yuji's gauntlets.

[Serious] Proof Yuta can RCT limbs

When Kashimo vs Yuta comes up, people often pretend Yuta cannot heal limbs to give Kashimo a better chance but Yuta absolutely can heal limbs.

Why? Because Yuta can heal poison (Slide 1). Ironically, we learn from Kashimo that regenerating the body is simple compared to healing poison (Slide 2). At this point, Kashimo has seen Hakari heal a missing arm (Slide 3), his ripped off face (Slide 4), and the side of his torso (Slide 5) and still thinks Hakari cannot heal poison.

But Yuta can heal poison, and we absolutely know Choso's poison blood counts because the image we see in Slide 2 behind the word "Poison!!" is Uraume being poisoned by Choso's poison blood. Meaning someone who can heal poison, in this case Yuta, should easily be able to heal the injuries Kashimo saw Hakari heal as he considers them "simple" compared to healing poison. ^(Yes, ik Hakari's RCT is faster.)

But it gets even better, Yuta didn't just heal poison. He healed poison in another person. We learn from Sukuna that using RCT on another person is up to 50% less effective than doing so on yourself (Slide 6). Which means Yuta not only meets the requirements for "simple regrowth" but he easily clears it.

Which makes complete sense given what we see Yuta do such as healing Maki's destroyed leg while he simultaneously heals Inumaki and Panda in his first use of RCT (Slide 7, 8). Or healing lost fingers vs Ryu (Slide 9). While fingers are not large as arms, they contain all the same components (bones, muscles, tendons, etc). Healing an arm compared to fingers is just merely a matter of scale, not RCT ability.

In conclusion, Yuta can easily heal missing arms.

[Serious] RCT is dura-neg to Curses.

Quick post, doesn't need much elaboration. We see in Yuta vs Kuro that Ryu implies reaching a Curse's core with RCT Output is still necessary to kill it but earlier in the series, we see that Sukuna says Maho's RCT Blade would have made him a goner just from hitting his arm if he had been a Curse.

How is it the case Maho would have one tapped Sukuna just from hitting his arm if we know from Ryu it still needs to hit a lethal point??

The answer is because to Curses, RCT is dura neg. Maho's blade would have went through Sukuna's arm like butter and continue slicing downward straight into Sukuna's head and chest killing him.

This makes complete sense when you remember why RCT Output is effective against Curses. They're made of Cursed Energy. RCT Output is effectively existence erasure to them

So if you are a Curse up against RCT, blocking is never an option. You always have to dodge or even swings through your block will end up into a lethal spot and kill you.
