Apparently we sort of belong here

Well, we just got back our Embark and our lovely Pula is 20% Malinois. We were suspicious, but now that we know, any advice? How to help her not be as anxious is really our biggest concern. I'll check in with the cattle dog crew too. Thank you!

She is charming, anxious, and has two modes:snuggle or chaos. She likes to chew on her "sister" and doesn't respect personal space. We love her to pieces!

"sisters" not by blood, but these two love each other.

We had thought that the husky would come back husky, but we were concerned about her health and, surprise! 3% German shepherd and VERY healthy. We had no idea with the gremlin, just suspicious that she might be a bit malinois.

Pula- not a gremlin?

The doggy DNA results are in, and I will post the results in the comments, but first would anyone like to guess? Last time I posted her there were only two guesses. She's from the 4 Corners region of the American SouthWest.

Edit: posting results now in the comments! 😊

Missing parts? Instructions unclear

It's supposed to be for the car, but this just doesn't look right.

Needing help

I am having a lot of trouble hearing back from places about finding a home for what turned out to be a rooster. We were assured none of our chicks were male (bought from a store) and he is a roo and has a bent toe too (we had thought it would straighten out with age).

He is the sweetest buff orpington, his name is Glory ("wings of fire" fans) and we just want him to have a good life, since we can't keep him where we live.

Anyone know of good, and responsive, contacts in the Northern Front Range of Colorado?

Custom and recent purchases

I pulled two identical, so I decided to color one of the Rebel's hair.

Also I have to get a new outfit for Blue Prelude. I just think she looks frumpy.

Born Rebel!

She arrived today and I can't believe how very soft her hair is! Her fur is shorter than I expected, and I just love her eyes!

Chores and feeling stuck

I guess I just need some help, or empathy, or something. Advice would be very welcome.

Cleaning has always felt overwhelming. "Just put it away when you're done." But I don't know when I'm done with a thing, and then I get more stuff out before I put other things away. Being told, "just go clean it," about my room and spending a whole day essentially accomplishing nothing.

As an adult the repetition drives me crazy. Wipe down the counters, turn around, and wipe them down again. It takes so much energy to clean, and then it needs cleaning again so quickly. And now? My home office, our living room, the backyard, it all needs attention. How can I make myself focus on one thing?

And I get fixated on super cleaning a thing, the tiny things. Now that I'm medicated I don't randomly do it when stressed or needing to be doing something else, but the desire still sometimes remains.

My parents in 1978

They're still together, and have definitely been through tough times, but they're enjoying retirement, friends and family.

Just a nice old picture in Denver

When my Grandparents first got married they lived in Denver (later Boulder) grandpa was born and raised in Denver (East High school). Mom remembers being scared in the morning because she could sometimes hear the lions roaring from the zoo. Grammie did not love moving to Boulder with its dirt roads and occasional cattle drives, however they lived out their days there quite happily.

My IDFu

I think I'll name her Sprite, short for Soot Sprite, and she's incredible!

I was tired of trying for an ID, so I just ordered a Fufu and I'm very happy with her.

Anyone else's husky go from normal shedding to blowout overnight?

Oh poor Cloud. She demanded shoulder scratches today, and I quickly realized why.

u/HyperrrMouse — 3 months ago

So I knew I was ordering a Fufu, but I had wanted the ID one, then this little darling showed up instead. She was also labeled as a "gray - g" but I am so much happier with her being pink.

She's so tiny!
