New to me Tundra

2017 Limited 4x4

I just drove it an hour home and it was so pleasant. Despite the 148K miles, everything feels really tight and I'm super excited to start taking care of it. I was in a 2005 F-150 with 264K miles. I've been looking for a 4x4 Tundra Crewmax on/off for about a year. I didn't really need a truck, so I was able to be patient and wait for a good deal. I looked at 2 before this one and walked away from those for various reasons. This one felt right from the beginning and it has everything I wanted. I'm not a huge fan of level kits, but this one seems ok.

Super Simple Slip Bump Fix

About 2 weeks ago I had to replace the fuel pump and fuel pump module on my 05 F-150 with 265k miles on it.

The module is located at the rear of the frame and the spare tire has to be lowered in order to access it.

After both were replaced, the truck ran great, and I was happy until I felt a little bump when coming to a stop.

A quick Google and I was underneath the truck again to pull the driveshaft and apply special Ford grease to the splines.

Well, that didn't fix it and I lived with it for a week or so.

Yesterday I pulled up to my friend's place and when I got out he said, "your spare tire sure is moving around a lot."

I immediately knew that this was my "slip bump" issue.

I tightened the spare up and took it for a test drive.

All is well again.

Expedition Squeak at Start-Up- with video

2021 Expedition.

Squeak at start-up and only the first start of the day (from what I have noticed).

New Motorcraft idler pulley

New Motorcraft tensioner pulley

New Gates belts

We have a Ford extended warranty.

83k miles

The vehicle was at the dealership from 7AM Monday to Friday at 4 PM and we were told that they couldn't duplicate the noise.

It has done it every morning since getting it back.

It also went in for transmission issues and we were told that it was a 2-3 month wait for transmission work and that it had to be left in order to get in line.

2021 Wipers Quit Working During Storms

For the second time while driving on the interstate the wipers on our '21 Expedition stopped working during a storm. I was able to get them to turn back on by turning the wiper switch. It happened again later in the trip and was not a good feeling during heavy rain on the interstate. This also happened about 6 weeks ago on the interstate during a storm. I submitted a complaint to NHTSA. Our vehicle does not have an open recall for any wiper related functions.
