Just picked up my first ever vintage Orient (Tri-Star)
I love this dial, and the pusher to advance the day is a fun addition.

I love this dial, and the pusher to advance the day is a fun addition.
So far I’m really digging it’s funky lugs and bracelet, and the dial is interesting, without being too busy
The Bruce Wayne!
What did your first GMT build look like?
Looks great in pictures, but even better in person!
First ever GMT build, was a fun process.
NH34A.
A friend of mine wants to potentially sell this watch, but I’m unsure of the model/ approximate value.
The watch does run, but I’m sure it needs a service.
Any info would be greatly appreciated!
The dial I’ve been waiting for finally came in 😍
Would you keep it as is, or go back to the Black and White dial?
I don’t make Tudor money (yet!), so this will have to do for now!
I wonder if Due-Shallot has any Tudor dials that would fit an NH35 🤔
The BB58 is one of my grails, and one day I WILL own the gen 😉 but for now, this will do
Figured I’d throw this green dial on for funsies. What do we think?
Seeing this watch in pictures just doesn’t do it justice
Feel free to ask any questions
Went out looking for an outfit for dinner and this caught my eye at the boutique. I just couldn’t stop staring at it.. impressive feat of engineering, this watch
I finally sucked it up and bought everything I’d need for a beginner setup. I have a feeling I’m about to have a lot of fun.
Shifter and clutch pedal on the way 👍
Was gifted this bad boy from a friend. Hamilton 500 movement, dated somewhere between 1954 and 1959. Cool tidbit about this watch, the Hamilton 500 movement was the first battery powered watch on the market in its time!
So, I got into an accident recently and had to purchase a new hood for my car. I attempted to spray paint it, but wasn’t happy with how the clear coat turned out, so I sanded it back down to the paint and started looking up wrap shops in my area to potentially have it wrapped.
I called around for a bit, and most shops don’t even want to touch this hood for less than 500 dollars, which seems like a lot to me.
Would this be difficult to DIY, as someone with no prior experience besides basic mechanical work?
Will the absence of clear coat be an issue when installing vinyl wrap? (I don’t care about the paint anyway, I just wouldn’t want it to be the reason for a failure regarding the vinyl)
Beyond that, is there a brand that tends to be more forgiving towards beginners? (I know there are certain brands that get mentioned here occasionally , but it’s usually in the case of “what to avoid”, like vivvid).
And last but not least, if I were to do this myself, would it be easier to wrap with the hood installed on the car?
Thanks in advance, and I apologize if these are questions you get a lot..
