So I've been really enjoying the new Sleep stuff, and thought it really surprising when I went to Reddit to find that I seemed to be the only one.
I've got Sciences on right now and for sure, I love Pikes riffs, and I'll probably blast No Hounour right after this, but I was excited to hear the next version of what Sleep was going to be. Sciences was different than Dopesmoker. Dopesmoker was different than Holy Mountain.
Just as much of the change is due to Crover and I don't see much argument that he's a fantastic drummer. I think too much of this change has been thrown unnecessarily on Bubba not sounding like Iommi.
Tldr; Sleep will always be dope. Sometimes change can be okay.
I feel like these guys are so slept on. The riffage and stage presence is amazing. Slabdragger frickin rips man.
Happy to finally commit to it. Really enjoy this park.
Inherited this almost mint condition bike. Garage stored since 1983, 1200 original miles on it. Gave the front fender a quick polish and was shocked at how well it cleaned up. Carbs are off to get sonic cleaned, forks are getting new seals. If anyone needs parts, let me know. A lot of the chrome won't be put back on the bike, and the frame is immaculate. Will be hardtailing with a donor frame so this one will be spare and up for grabs.

I've always enjoyed painting orks. Especially dead orks.
Id like to enter a painting competition, but have no idea where to start. I like friendly competition, and want to chat painting with other people that got into 40K from the paint side of it, like I did. Is there a league? A community? I'm in Northwestern BC if that helps.
I'm running Storm HC rotors and XT brakes, wanted to know what people liked for pads? I ran Galfer organics exclusively when I lived further inland, but since moving to the coast, I wanted to go back to metallic. Just not sure what the Magura rotors liked.
So this is the army that got me into 40k, their art was the first I ever saw as a kid.
That being said, I play Dark Angels and Templars, with no foray into anything xenos. I'd like to change that, since I love the theme within the drukhari but have no idea where to start. If anyone has any suggestions, I'd appreciate it!
Its also worth noting that I don't plan competitively. I just love rolling dice. Big fan of characters being heavily included in my armies.
Learning a little more every day. Would like some feedback as to what could be improved, I'm happy with it but I'm sure better painters see it with different eyes.
You know those lines that just get to you?
You'll spend 2 hours trying to make it look perfect, a good variation of tricks.
You'll spend 40 tries just to get the first 3 tricks right that by the time you get to the flat ground trick, you forget you were supposed to set up switch?
This one got me. Felt good to finally get it.
Taking a really deep dive into IVth Crusade.
Gav and Barry's guitar tone sounds angry, Jo's bass absolutely crushes you, Andy's drums are a vicously rhythmic bash against your skull until you submit, Karl's roaring rebuke of those in power.
Absolutely, without doubt, the greatest death metal album every written.
I won't argue people over their pick, because everyone's got their own opinion on the "best ever," and they're all solid options. My Bolt Thrower may be someone's Toby Keith.
I just cannot fathom a better album to be run over by a steamroller by, than this.
Used Suboden Khan for the basis as my Crucible character leading my outriders. Dual Mace heads from the Deathwing Knights kit, and some goodies from the BT upgrade sprue. Definitely need to throw some jewellery chain on the wrists before it gets the clear coat over the oil wash.
