Just started watching Godzilla: The Series and I'm loving it

I know how people feel about the movie, but I've always wanted to know what the community thinks of the show. I just never seen many people talk about it before, even among the biggest Godzilla Youtube channels. As someone who did love the movie as a kid and always loved the design of this Godzilla, I got interested in this show. All this burning curiosity eventually led me to watching the show and man, I wish I watched this sooner. I only watched the first 9 episodes so far, but it's been a great watch so far.

Godzilla (Zilla Jr.) might become my new favorite Godzilla. On top of feeling more like Godzilla than his father, I love the animalistic approach they took to fit this design. He's one of the more awesome Godzillas with how he fights other Kaiju like implementing tactics a smart animal would make. I also appreciate the show for showing that even a powerful kaiju can be cute, as seen in the attached video (huge bias towards reptiles being cute).

The other monsters are pretty cool, love that they just said fuck it and made a lot of them look so alien which honestly fits given how common that is for Godzilla enemies. I'd say my favorite so far would be the Crackler for its design, biology and how it was connected to a man's emotions. Speaking of humans, I found the main group enjoyable and probably the best main humans we got in any Godzilla media. Nothing groundbreaking, I just think they're being handled well and give the show a more distinct identity.

So what do you guys think of the show? I've always wondered what people thought about the show and well, I just generally love talking about Godzilla.

I bought the game + all DLC for my Switch 2, got any tips? (image somewhat related)

It's been a few years since I last played this game and even though my recent runs show that I'm just as good as before, I only know stuff from the base game. All the DLC are completely uncharted territory for me, and it's been really weird and exciting to go through these new environments along with somehow getting to (what I assume are) some of the final DLC bosses.

The main thing I wanna know is like any tips on getting better at the game and ways of getting DLC related content like characters. I currently only have Bandit (my current main and why I decided to use that image), MUL-T and Artificer in terms of the unlockable characters.

What fight would you say has an underrated ending?

You can say what you want about the episode overall, but I think Jason VS Michael has a pretty good ending ignoring the whole "watch Jason walk for 16 seconds" part. Having Jason's mom be what gives him the strength to overpower Michael and finally kill him is genius, they did a really good job with the execution (pun intended).

Playing Kurogiri can feel like you're in a survival horror game at times

I've noticed people are actively targeting Kurogiris more, so I developed more escape routes and adapting hiding spots. I've also become very paranoid when healing from all the close encounters I've had (like in the total masterpiece I made above) and I'm ready to either start blasting or break ankles with funny portals.

I don't know if anyone did this meme with exes so I decided to try making my own

I might add text later, but I like it without text.

The selection of exes was just ones I liked (2011x, Xenophanes, GenesisX, CHILDHOOD-HAS-PASSED and Rewrite in order) and I used official art for most of them meanwhile I got Rewrite's frame from this Pinterest post.

To celebrate Pride Month, I must confess that I have a big crush on Tumble the Skunk

Tumble has been my 2nd favorite Sonic character, but I never expected him to be the one Sonic character I crush on (I honestly should've considering what other characters I crush on). He has the buff build of Zavok with the soft fur of Big, plus some punk elements with his hair and spiked bracelets. There's just so many panels of him with an attractive face including some really cute ones, I don't think the artists intended him to be this visually appealing (to me at least). I'd unironically call him a himbo with how appealing his appearance is to me and he's a lovable dummy that occasionally has smart ideas. I feel like another thing that makes me so attracted to him is that it feels like he's not a bad guy but rather acts like a bully for different reasons. Like the one time he was by himself, he made a plan that was so good it impressed Rouge and he was really chill with her. The fact he's pretty calm and oddly cordial with the main cast when defeated or simply not working against them suggests that Rough is a bad influence on him, I feel bad for him because he could've been a better person. What's more sympathetic about him is his lost tail, we don't know what happened, but it clearly scarred him. He gets really jealous of Tails having two and Tangle having a big stretchy tail, he even gets worried about Rough losing his tail when Mimic takes out his knife. It's no surprise that I think part of his reasoning for being a bully is because of his lost tail, god he deserved a hug. I hope we see him and his brother return along with looking into their past so we can see if they were always bullies or if certain events caused them to go down the hooligan path (his tail might've been big as hell).

To put it simply, his appearance, personality and sympathetic elements has made him my biggest fictional crush, or maybe this just confirms that I'm a furry that didn't know he leaned towards men more than women.

It feels really weird to have so many crushes on men and barely any crushes on women, is this rare for the sub?

I'd be happy to explain my attraction to all of them, though I feel like most of them are easy to figure out.

What kind of crazy sales were SEGA expecting???

Considering Crossworlds sold over 1 MILLION copies in a month with continuous healthy player numbers and I assume decent to good sales since THEY GREENLIT A YEAR 2 FOR THE GAME, why are they not showing the sales for the game and saying it didn't meet expectations?

I love the fact that Captain Underpants probably beats most of his matchups

His theme song is also peak, I hope that it gets referenced in his MU songs

u/Icy_Fox7251 — 2 months ago

What's a matchup you have genuine beef with?

I could write a whole essay about why I hate this matchup, it's one of the few I have nothing good to say about it and that's an accomplishment. To avoid getting pretty heated over a matchup and for time, I won't go into detail for my beef.

What is your favorite exe laugh?

I think an overlooked part of an exe is their laugh, some have iconic laughs like the og Sonic.exe (even if it's just an already existing laugh) but exe laughs generally don't get talked about.

My favorite laugh goes to Sonic.OMT, it does a great job showing what kind of monster this thing is and it's intimidating on its own. The very close honorable mentions go to Hog/Scorched and Scrimbo, their laughs go hard and are probably scarier, but I still prefer OMT's slightly more.

I decided to see what all the Assault Kendo hype was about and...

She's actually good, a mid to high B tier in terms of how well I've been doing with her. Her alpha and gamma feel better to use than when I last tried her and her shield has been as good as ever. I'm sure other people can make her look broken, but I currently can't call her broken which is a win in my book.

Did Death Battle do your favorite character justice in their episode(s)?

Since I could go on for hours talking about how my favorite character of all time (Metal Sonic) was done so much justice on the show, I wanna see how other people's favorite character faired on the show. I honestly love talking about this show even if we have to criticize it from time to time, it's pretty much why I love this sub so much.

And hey, hopefully it can take people's minds off Homelander's very recent L.

If Rough and Tumble share a braincell, Tumble is clearly using it the most

I think it's a cool reversal of the typical hooligan duo to have the muscle also be smarter, even if it's by an extremely small difference. Even assuming Rough is smarter, Tumble is way more composed in all situations (that doesn't involve tail PTSD), so Rough is typically not in the right headspace to make the smarter decisions.

I can talk about these guys for days, PLEASE give them more screentime so I can gush about Rough and especially Tumble (he's my favorite of the two).

I feel an indescribable feeling when my game crashes shortly after dying

I never leave a match until my team goes down because they'll likely lose with a member gone. If you ever see me leave a match after dying, I swear my game crashed.

Funny how Moro's "worst" episode is still a great episode

We all know Bowser VS Eggman and Cell VS Metal Sonic are absolute cinema (my top 2 of all time) while Mahito VS Shigaraki is a surprisingly great episode, it unfortunately made it so Deku VS Miles is his weakest so far. I firmly believe this had some of the best character analysis in the show and it has one of the most underrated tracks. Frankly my only critiques would be the first part of the fight not having enough impact and Miles could've had better characterization, everything else is great.

And no, I don't agree with those masochists that think giving Miles huge outliers that all had outside help or aren't canon is somehow fair.

Like you get the normal wall level stuff and then these goofy monsters reveal themselves to be benders, Tinky Winky literally has lightning manipulation and Po shoots out large fire balls. Don't even get me started on the Guardian moving like Doomslayer when he got a chainsaw.

They're all great options imo, but I'd choose USJ over the other two. Like I mentioned in a post before, I really want characters that are more in line with older seasons with some of the upgrades of recent seasons and this Nomu would be perfect. We can get a great Assault, a real tank in a long time and close combat character that can take on flying bums.

If ya want, you can also say one of the minor Nomus.
