Emily Simpson said Beyoncé "That kind, doesn’t belong at the Country Music Award"
Katie reportedly discussed this on her podcast, Bravo’s Most Wanted, and claimed that during the cast trip to New Orleans, Emily Simpson made a racist remark about Beyoncé.
According to Katie, Beyoncé was the idol of a producer who was riding in the same car. After Emily allegedly made the racist remark, the producer apparently reacted by immediately changing the subject and saying something along the lines of, “Welcome to beautiful New Orleans.”
What makes the story particularly shocking is Beyoncé’s significance in country music. She broke a major barrier with Cowboy Carter and became the first Black woman to top the Billboard Top Country Albums chart, while also winning major country-music recognition.
