27mg and questioning it

I’m on week 2 of 27mg. I started on 18mg for 2.5 weeks. I’m not really noticing much. The first week I felt that my mind was calmer but not the second week. Same with my sugar cravings. It hasn’t done anything for my focus or executive functioning. Occasional tension headaches in the evening. My blood pressure and pulse do increase when on it. My BP usually runs in the very low hundreds. At the meds peak, it goes up into the 120’s and sometimes 130’s. Pulse also ranges between 80 and 110. My normal range is low 60’s to 80. If Concerta does this to my system, does that mean all the other options in this class will also do this?

Advice on some pullover, wireless, non cotton bras

The bras I’ve been basically living in over the past few years have had a design change and I now hate them. I’m looking for a wireless pullover. Lightly lined. A very small amount of padding is ok. A lightweight, soft breathable fabric. I’m petite and wear a 30-32 B. Normally an XS if it’s a high stretch fabric. I’m 51 so little lift would be great. No uniboob. 😁

Help, I need new bras!

Help me out here girls. I need some new bras. I’m petite. 30/32 B. No underwire, pullover, soft wicking fabric. No cotton. Im 51 so I need it to provide some lift. I’m having such a difficult time finding anything. The pullovers I’ve liked on Amazon don’t come any smaller than a medium. Normally a 32 band is ok but I find that the thinner fabrics stretch more. The last ones I bought were all XS. They all stretched out too much and aren’t made anymore.

Dose increase to 27mg

Does the tiredness go away once you’re on the appropriate dose? I started on 18mg 2.5 weeks ago. Definitely feel calmer but that’s about it. Sugar cravings have diminished significantly. It’s not doing anything for my focus. I take it at 7am with some water and a protein bar. By 1:00 I’m crashing. My eyes get so heavy. If I’m physically active during that period it’s not as noticeable. My blood pressure and heart rate increase while I’m on it. I also get a weird tightness across my forehead. My doctor increased my dose to 27mg today. I’m really hoping I start seeing improvements in terms of my adhd symptoms but not at the cost of my energy levels and motivation.

IPWDA or NPWDA, which is more difficult?

I’m ready to get my HRD dog certified. I can find the testing information for NPWDA certification but I can’t find any testing info for IPWDA. I want to test with the agency that has the more difficult test.

Week 2 on 18mg

I’m on week 2 of 18mg. The first day I felt it kick in. My hair follicles were tingly😂. My mind also felt calmer. I also lost all my sugar cravings. Day 2-5, no more tingling, no sugar cravings. My brain feels quieter but that’s about it. Days 5-now, I’m really mellow. But, I still can’t stay on task, I still can’t read a paragraph without having to reread it multiple times because I just don’t pay attention to what I’m actually reading. My sugar cravings are back and I’m noticing that I’m getting really tired at about 2:00 in the afternoon. I’m sleeping well. I take the med between 6:30 and 7:00 in the morning. I make sure I eat a high protein breakfast. Would going up to a higher dose make my afternoon fatigue worse?

Need some ideas on how to add a water bottle holder.

This is the chest pack I made a few years ago because I needed one for SAR and I couldn’t find one that had what I wanted that wasn’t too big for me. I’m a petite female. The from right pouch holds my compass. The pouch on the right can hold a radio or GPS unit. Since we now live track with CalTopo, that spot usually ends up holding my phone. Here’s my dilemma, I want to add something that would hold a small smart water bottle. I’m thinking of something added to the left side. Hopefully using the d rings and the top and bottle straps. I don’t want to pull stitches to add something if I don’t have to. I would love some ideas.

Brushes for cats

I have a new cat and she has medium length hair that is super thick. What’s a good comb or brush to use that would get down deep? I brush her regularly but noticed that it does get down deep enough so she ends up with tiny mats.

1 year post op. Still having problems.

I’m coming up on 1 year since my shoulder surgery. I had a synovectomy, bursectomy, debridement and subacromial decompression. Unfortunately, I’ve made almost no improvement. I think I’ve started to go backwards. I still fail the empty can test. I’m now also failing the drop arm test as well as a couple others. Anything that involves my elbow leaving my side whether it’s in front, to the side or above my head is difficult and painful. If I place my left hand on my right shoulder, I struggle to lift my elbow away from my body. If any resistance is added, it’s extremely painful. I’m frequently woken up at night due to pain when I roll over. I can’t raise my arm without pain. When I go to lower it, I get a sharp pain and my arm collapses. I can’t fold my arms in front of me without pain. Let’s also add pain when certain areas are pressed on the top of my shoulder. There’s so much more to it. Since the surgery, I’ve had lots of PT, 5 separate steroid injections and a PRP injection. I had a second MRI back in January and it still showed the original small supraspinatus footprint tear that was debrided. It also now showed extensive fraying at the MTJ and a blunted labrum. I go back to my doctor next week. I honestly don’t know what to do at this point. It feels like my shoulder is not functionally right anymore. I’m a very active, athletic person and my job requires 2 working shoulders. This has stripped so many of the things that make me happy away from me. My doctor seems stumped. My physical therapist feels something is definitely wrong. None of us expected me to be in this situation. I just want a long term fix of whatever the issue is, not a bandaid that’s just going to fall off as soon as I start using my shoulder again.

On June 6, I’ll be taking on the Cystic Fibrosis Xtreme Hike as part of Team Dylan’s Domination.

I’m hiking for Dylan and for everyone affected by cystic fibrosis.

It’s a 26 mile, one day hike through the Berkshire Mountains. It’s going to be a serious challenge, but one I’m ready to take on for something that truly matters. This hike will be tough, but it’s nothing compared to what Dylan and others living with CF go through every single day.

I’ve committed to raising $3,000, and I can’t do it alone. I’m struggling to get donations. Every donation, no matter the size, helps fund critical research and care, and brings us one step closer to a cure.

If you’re able to donate, it would mean the world to me. Let’s come together and make a real impact. You can make a donation through the link below. Thank you.
