Every season there seems to be a contestant who shows warning signs from the very first episode. Looking back across all the series, what behaviour immediately makes you think a marriage won't last?

It was always the obvious recommendation for someone starting out with Amex points but the landscape has shifted a bit. The welcome bonus has changed a few times and some of the other cards have got more competitive. What would people actually recommend to someone who wants to get into Amex rewards without committing to Platinum fees straight away.

Went to a preview once and it felt noticeably rough in places and then saw the same show again properly and it was a completely different experience. Other times previews are basically identical to the finished product. Is it actually worth the risk for the discount or do people just wait until reviews are out?

The latest season has sparked enough attention that Ofcom has opened an investigation into the UK version of the show. Whether anything significant comes from it remains to be seen, but it does raise questions about contestant welfare and where reality TV should draw the line. This franchise never seems to stay out of the headlines for long.

Series 3 gave us Destruction, the event where contenders charge down lanes smashing through those massive 8ft barriers using body power, a battering ram, and climbing mechanics. While it definitely delivered on the "fast and fierce" promise, I felt like the Gladiators didn't have quite enough defensive leverage once a contender got momentum. Did you think it was a worthy modern addition to the classic rotation, or did it feel a bit too much like a mini-Eliminator clone rather than a true Gladiator vs. Contender showdown?
