Tallest Buildings in Queens outside of Long Island City

NYC was more YIMBY before. The North Shore Towers- tallest one is 370 feet. These towers are the tallest buildings in Queens outside of LIC. Located at the edge of Queens meeting the Nassau County border. I am from this neighborhood and consider them a staple of the neighborhood. If we could build this before we should be able to do it now.

How do we think buildings like this will age?

Pros about this build is that it doesn’t have AC units showing and the facade is simple and unique. But we see more and more of these built, how do we think they’ll age? The dark color should keep it looking alright?

Gateway vs ARC

As we know, ARC (Access to the Region’s Core) would have been owned by NJ. Gateway however will ultimately be owned by Amtrak. Will this not be in NJ’s favor that they again ultimately will not own another tunnel under the Hudson?

Dog Culture

What's with all the dogs off leash and people not picking up after their dogs?

I'm from Bayside, Queens and have lived in the UWS and Hudson Yards and never have experienced anything like this. When I called out someone he called me a gay slur and threatened me. LIKE WHAT. Any way to report these people?

Second Ave subway using extra Nassau Street line tracks?

The Second Ave Subway should connect with Delancey Street - Essex Street with its own station underneath and then curve left to use the extra tracks at Bowery, Canal, Chambers, and then finally branch off 2 stations on its own after Chambers. Would this not be possible and save costs tunneling in lower Manhattan and provide better transfers? Credit to vanshnookenraggen for the map.

What spots do you recommend?

Boyfriend and I are moving in together and wanted to know top spots for food, ranging from fancy to take out. Bars, things in the park, grocery, markets to checkout, things to do, things to avoid, etc. Will be living off of Franklin Ave. I’m originally from Queens and have lived in Manhattan, gone to high school in the Bronx and college in Downtown Brooklyn so very familiar with NYC overall :)

Would we see any rail upgrades for this Olympics?

The year is 2042, Penn Access, SAS 2, IBX, Midtown Bus terminal, Penn Station, Hudson River tunnel are all complete. What projects do you think would be needed for this Olympics? FYI there was a NYC to Lake Placid rail connection but upstate dismantled their portion. Any NYC projects that you think might be getting complete? Penn Access phase 2?
