I have the LEM and I’m looking at getting it converted to decor only but it almost feels like I should just trade it or get a whole new HK45c. Anybody have experience doing their own gunsmithing at this level? Parts itself would be achievable but I’m sure the wor would out it at close to what I paid for the gun as a project

I love the aesthetics the grip, front strap checkering, stainless it all looks good but I feel like stamping NG on it is so tacky… and why can’t I get a rail why is it so hard to find a rail on quality commander size 1911s

Honestly they are different but if my credit card can take the hit which should I get to move into my dad carry era

I own the mc operator in 2nd pic and I want to get some custom pachmayr American legend style grips built for it with a brown leather rather then black. I think someone super crafty with a dremel and knows rubber a bit can do some inlay work. I’m trying to perfect this gun so I stop wanting to buy a 4.25 like a Dan Wesson specialist.
