Not sure if this is the right sub to post this is in… but I wanted to share mine here. So a while back my little cousin wanted me to try to “jailbreak” his old leap pad epic tablet thingy running a super modified version of KitKat (4.4)…. So to do that I had to allow the internet browser, download some Amazon thing and install opera mini for him. Now I did tell him about how apks can sometimes be malicious and whatnot he said he knows, and still for fun sometimes he’ll show me random apps he could install!

Imo, I think they’re a bit better than JBL. Coming from experience with a SRS-XV500, SRS-XG300, SRS-XE200 (with a heavy bass and treble eq), ULT Field 1, and many earbuds and headphones (including the XM5 earbuds 👌🥹) Why do people hate on them so much? Like they have less lights than JBLs do but they flash more like a party, and the bass with the XB, Mega Bass, and ULT modes… ARE INSANE!! So can someone explain??

This popped up on my fyp and I'm sure most of you already seen/watched this but to be completely honest, I'm really going to miss the old ChromeOS design.

There is tons of (deserved) hate for the new PartyBox x30 lineup design choices and there's more and more people that keep updating their speakers only to get worse and worse sound... it seems like (to me anyway) that JBL started off as a small brand that needed to prove itself and once the Flip 3 and Charge 3 released, they blew up (especially with their sounds that they make when you pair or turn on and fakes too lol) but now everything is softer PRs and software updates and "AI sound boost" that really does nothing... I don't know... maybe that's just me... and yes, I know that this is a JBL sub but seriously Sony really only has gotten better and my absolute favorite is the ULT Tower 9 with ULT 1, and my ULT Field 3.

This is running version 151 I believe. There's also MANY graphical changes like new window borders, better extension management menus and more!

So, I'm using a shitbook (macbook) pro mid 2012 and the thing overheats when I'm doing nothing. So I switched to the Linux OS I grew up with: (13 year old me in 2012 trying out the first ever Raspian OS) Rapsberry Pi OS desktop for mac and PC. But I stumbled upon a problem. The desktop version hasn't been updated since 2022 (which is fine, I like older stuff.) and when I installed Flatpak w/ the GUI, when I tried to look up apps, the kernel must be out of date or smth bc none of the apps that I use on my actual PC (ZorinOS) appear in the store. How can I get around this? The reason I refuse to let this Macbook die is bc of the ports, the screen and the i7, 4gb of ram and most importantly, 700GB OF STORAGE ON AN HDD! Now I know that might not sound like much, but in all honesty, I just need a PC that is easy to use and that just works. Not some dumb ads like "Cannonical Privacy" or "Get Firefox, some other abnormal sounding Linux apps and more!". No corporate bs. I just want a PC. IF U CAN FIND A WAY ON HOW TO PERHAPS UPDATE THE KERNEL OR SMTH, THAT'D BE GREAT! THX!

Hello, all! So, I need a Recovery Image for OSFlex in the preferably canary or stable channel but if anyone manages to find a Dev channel or beta channel too, that would be alright. As long as it's not the enterprise one! So, I'm looking for Reven v103. I tried out the normal ChromeOS Flex installer via the image AND via the Cb Recovery utility (which barely ever works)... and when I get to boot, the ChromeOS Flex splash appears and my guess is, the GPU Hangs while loading bc the ChromeVox spoken feedback message will play as well as the startup chime. So I need a certain recovery image that still supports Intel Graphics HD 4000. THANK YOU ALL!

Hello all! I wanted to tell y'all and give y'all a guide on how to get the ChromeOS / OSFlex font in FydeOS. So I know that there are tons of guides but for me, this is the easiest. (Fun fact btw, there's no need to get a font to download! The ChromiumOS Authors left the entire font library for ChromeOS in 2010!)

1. Enable Dev Mode through FydeOS settings - Restart
2. Ctrl-alt-t to open crosh
3. Type Shell then type Sudo -i
4. paste this in. sudo /usr/share/vboot/bin/make_dev_ssd.sh --remove_rootfs_verification --partition 2 --force
5. Reboot
6. Follow steps 2 and 3 after restart and then paste this in. sudo mount -o remount,rw /
7. Paste this: sudo sed -i 's/<family>Arimo<\/family>/<family>Roboto<\/family>/g' /etc/fonts/local.conf
8. and then finally to complete your font change, paste this. sudo fc-cache -f -v && sudo reboot
