Hi all, I was wondering about the metal in my back. I fractured my T12-L1 and went in for emergency surgery. I have almost full mobility after 10 months, I just can't run or lift a lot. I can walk for long periods of time, I am a teacher constantly up and down. Each day, by the end of it, I am in pain. Sometimes agonizing sometimes just mild.

Here's my issue: I have seen THREE different doctors. Every single one of them told me its up to ME if I want to get my metal out???? They don't even give me information. Some people get it out, some don't. If you dealt with this, did you get your metal out? Did it help?

I went to an expo a few weeks back and a man was convincing me his Tokay was sweet. It seemed like it. He kind of threw him in my hands. He was tame, but ended up biting me. Luckily I didn't flinch, or even make it noticeable that it happened. Not long after, I saw a man throw a bearded dragon into some guys hands that DID NOT ask to hold it. He then dropped the bearded dragon from several feet up. The guy just picked it back up, kissed it, and put it back in the tub.

Am I crazy for thinking that allowing animals to be handled at an expo it a horrible idea?

I have two extra tickets to BMTH in NYC. I cannot access them right now and Stubhub said they'll get back to me the day of the show. They're also only giving me the option for better seats, but I already have two others. Does anyone else know what I can do to get my money back for the two extra seats if I don't have the tickets yet? Doesn't stubhub/ticketmaster not let you sell seats after a certain time?

I start EMDR today. I have a boatload of trauma, but my focus to start is my serious injury. I know people mentioned a safe space, and I can’t think of one for the life of me. It’s usually in water, but my injury happened in water.

Besides a safe space, any tips?
