Share your Experiences as a Campus Journalist

Hi, Iʼm currently working onto something and I want to have deeper knowledge of how journalism works in universities. To those college students who are currently campus journalists, especially sa mga PJ and feature writer:

• What are the roles of your position? For PJs, do you write your captions every time your photos are used for uploads? For feature writers, who are the subjects you often write about and how long are your deadlines?

• How are tasks assigned among journalists?

• How are roles assigned for RSPC? Is it possible na ma-assign ka to compete for another category kahit na iba ang position mo? (Ex: Campus photojournalist competing for sports writing in RSPC)

• How is it like in your office? Is everyone close?

• Doʼs and donʼts ng mga journalist? Be it in the office or journalism in general.

• What are your best or most memorable experiences as a campus journalist?

• Additional infos you want to share (Ex: Pros and cons, former co-journalists you did not like, struggles non-journalists do not know, etc.)

Feel free to share us your experiences. Thank you in advance! :)

Planning to Start a Pop-Up Flower Business as a College Student

Hi, I’ve been doing a bit of research on how to start a small pop-up flower business. However, I’ve been struggling to find infos about these:

• Nearest place where I can get affordable supplies, since flowers are perishable. I’m from a city in Batangas.

• Is it feasible to start with a capital of ₱1-2k? (Though I’m also willing to save up more 😓)

• What are the most in-demand flowers and how do I sell them: pre-arranged or self-pick?

For the set-up, I’m planning to either do a “latag” sa campus or ask for my parents to assist me in setting up our old car’s trunk.

Thank you in advance po sa mga makasasagot!

Is it allowed for outsiders to jog sa loob ng AirBase?

If ever, nagpapapasok kaya through other gates aside sa main?

Recommend Free Clinics that Offer Specialized TMJ Assessments in Lipa

Hi, are there any dental or health clinics that offer free assessments for the TMJ? My jaw started hurting every time I open my mouth, chew, yawn, or even just with my mouth still. I am still a student so I could only opt for free services or the cheapest options at most.

Do Fast-Food Chains Allow Employees To Work For Just A Month?

Hello, I’m a college student looking for a job habang bakasyon pa namin.

Kaya lang, if ever man na matanggap, baka one month and a half lang ang itagal ko ro’n. Around second week na rin kasi ng August ang pasukan namin and my school is like three cities away from home.

I’m an incoming third year and according to my seniors, packed na talaga ‘yung scheds kapag ganito since puro major subjects na and research 😓

Habang undecided, naghahanap na rin ako ng remote work/raket online but wala pa ring assurance dito kasi I am still lost kung anong niche ang papasukin ko or kung anong skills ang mai-o-offer ko. Kaya kong sumulat, mag-edit, etc. but it would still need time to upskill, make a portfolio, and find clients kaya I’m temporarily looking for a safe option.

Sa mga working student na nagtatrabaho sa fast-food chains, allowed ba na mag-work lang ako for a month or do they prefer long-term? Hopefully this helps me decide 🤧

On-Site or WFH

I am a college student who applied for TTEC today despite only having less than two months for vacation—which is risky, considering the allotted time for training is 60 days. I just had my initial interview (which I kind of botched) and I was still thinking about their question on which work setup I prefer and why. I said I prefer working on-site because I don’t have the equipment needed for remote work. But now that I think about it, WFH would be much more convenient for me if I wanted to continue working while studying. I guess I could bear with my low-spec laptop if I have to.

Kaso, I already botched the rest of the interview questions and I feel 50/50 about me qualifying. I hope they consider me. If not, I might as well try applying for another company instead.

Any tips po for someone na gustong mag-working student sa BPO? Lahat po ba ng training ay aabot ng 60 days, and how convenient is WFH?

Long Website Loading Time

I kept trying until 12 AM kasi no’n na na-lock ‘yung account ko for twelve hours due to having too much OTP requests. I tried logging in sa phone and using incognito site, kaso wala talaga. Then ngayong hapon, when my account finally unlocked, I tried ulit and this time may natatanggap na akong OTP. Kaso ang tagal namang ma-verify ng code once ma-input 🥹 To be honest, I’ve been losing hope kagabi pa. Ginastos ko na lahat ng pera ko including my last money sa pamasahe, pa-print, at fees para lang makumpleto lahat ng requirements. And it’s so disheartening to even think na all of that will go to waste if ever man hindi ako makapag-apply dito 🥲
