Immediate weight gain!?

Anyone immediately start gaining weight when you started Pristiq? Or did you lose weight? Stay the same? Cus I’ve been on 25 mg now for 7 weeks, tried to increase to 50 mg, but had severe side effects, I’m good on 25! Not sure if it’s helping my anxiety and depression yet! My biggest concern is the 8 pounds that I have gained and starting this medication was the only change that I made. I have maintained the same weight for like 10 years after losing like 75 pounds so I’m just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and did you stop taking it or what did you do because I’m literally about to get off of it because I cannot deal with gaining weight after I worked so hard to take it off! I mean my clothes don’t fit me right now and I can’t afford to go buy new ones…. besides that, I just don’t even feel comfortable with the extra pounds!!!

Landlord brought us a portable AC instead of fixing our HVAC — now they’ve stopped responding. What would you do?

We moved into a brand new built **2-story townhouse in Lavon, TX on July 10th**, and we’ve had an ongoing HVAC problem basically since move-in.
The problem is primarily upstairs. The thermostat can be set around **72–74°F**, but the upstairs bedroom has consistently been around **80–83°F**, sometimes with roughly a **10°F+ difference between upstairs and downstairs**.
I’ve actually monitored the temperatures because I wanted to make sure I wasn’t imagining it. At one point, the thermostat was reading 74°, while the upstairs bedroom was 82° and downstairs was around 77°. Overnight, upstairs temperatures were still ranging from about **77–82°**, with humidity around **45–60%**.
The upstairs vents also have **very little airflow**, while the downstairs vents have noticeably stronger airflow. The central AC is running, but it simply isn’t cooling the upstairs properly.
Maintenance has already come out and tried addressing the issue. **The last thing they did was replace the thermostat/temperature sensor on the wall.** That did not solve the problem.
At that point, instead of actually resolving the HVAC problem, they brought us a **portable AC unit as a temporary solution**. They knew the underlying HVAC problem had not been fixed.
And here’s where I’m getting frustrated…
**That was the last time anyone came out.**
We’ve submitted **multiple additional service requests**, and despite knowing that the central HVAC issue is still unresolved, we haven’t heard anything about when it will actually be repaired. We haven’t had anyone come back out to properly diagnose/fix it, and management hasn’t provided an update.
We’re now basically stuck using a portable AC upstairs to compensate for a problem with the property’s central HVAC system.
I understand that HVAC repairs can take time, especially if contractors/warranty companies are involved. What bothers me is the **lack of communication and follow-up**. If they know the problem isn’t fixed, shouldn’t there at least be some communication about what’s being done to resolve it?
**What would you do in this situation?**
Would you continue submitting maintenance requests, contact the property manager directly, send a formal written notice, or take another approach?

Fastest way to get paid

Today was my first day to deliver and I had already connected my Chime account to Instant Cashout before reading about the whole Real-Time Payment System. So how do I get my pay the fastest? I don’t think Chime supports that! I only have accounts with Chime, OnePay, PayPal, Venmo, SoFi. Who does everyone use or how to you cashout?!

Pristiq and Wellbutrin

Hi, is there anyone that takes Wellbutrin with Pristiq? Or anyone who switched from Wellbutrin to Pristiq successfully? I am trying to decide if I want to continue! Here’s my story…. So I was on Wellbutrin XL 300 mg for 10 yrs. I quit drinking alcohol and quit smoking cigarettes within the first couple months of starting it! I felt more energized! It saved my life! I was also on Cymbalta for 10 yrs in combination, but got off Cymbalta 2 yrs ago because it quit working. I was still having unmanageable anxiety symptoms and episodes of depression so in other combinations with my Wellbutrin, I’ve tried Lexapro, Celexa, Buspar, Prozac but none helped and I had horrible side effects! So I finally took GeneSight thank God because most every SSRI was listed in red to have a gene drug interaction! Only one in my green was Pristiq! So my psychiatrist started me out on 25 mg and I’ve been on it for a month, she lowered my mg on Wellbutrin down to 150 mg and said I could completely stop after 2 weeks or continue and stop at 4 wks depending on how I felt! So I’m still taking it and I see her tomorrow for my month follow up! I haven’t had any bad side effects from Pristiq, haven’t had any withdrawal symptoms from lowering my Wellbutrin. I haven’t really noticed a huge difference in how I feel, except maybe I do feel a little better and calmer in stressful situations. So I’m definitely gonna ask her to up my dosage to 50 mg see if I continue to feel better! I’m just wondering if my Wellbutrin is still working or not?! I’m not sure if I should continue taking it or maybe stop taking it and see if I feel worse than I will know if it quit working! I just praise it so much for quitting smoking and drinking, I’m like scared I guess to completely get off of it! So just wondering if anyone has a similar story! I just wanna be prepared before I see my psychiatrist tomorrow afternoon! Thanks everyone!

Is this a common occurrence? I have a 2026 Nissan Rogue! I made an appointment to go there today and tell them! Hopefully they still have it! Idk!?

I Pulled a Piece of Paint Off My Bedroom Vent and Found THIS Behind It 🤢 Mold Inside My Air Duct!Pics Included.

I was hearing an annoying flapping sound every time my AC came on, so I stood up and pulled out a small piece of paint that had chipped off one of the metal vent blades in my bedroom.
To my surprise, the back of the paint chip was covered in what appears to be mold. 😳
That made me grab my phone flashlight and look further inside the vent and ductwork. I found rust on the vent blade where the paint chipped off, plus what looks like mold or dark growth inside the duct itself.
I’m attaching:
Photo of the paint chip covered in mold
Photos looking inside the air duct
For context:
This is in my bedroom.
I live in an apartment.
I haven’t noticed a strong musty smell, but I’ve had allergy/sinus issues on and off.
I’m worried because this is air that’s blowing directly into my room.
Monday morning I will be contacting the code enforcement officer in my city that handles rental properties specifically. There is a history of a mold infestation throughout the HVAC in the apartment building across from mine after a fire and flood, which took 2 years to restore and reopen. There was a flood in my building last Labor Day weekend in which management handled horribly. That’s how I first got in contact with my city’s code enforcement officer, who came out immediately to do an inspection and got professional restoration crews out same day! The basement of my building has experienced long periods of standing water due to a clogged drain for the past year. So with all that, it doesn’t surprise me that I discovered this! My biggest thing is the health of everyone that lives in my building. Thank God my lease is up and I’m moving in 3 weeks. I will still be doing everything I can to get this inspected, I trust that the Code Enforcement Officer to jump on this!
Any advice or similar experiences would be appreciated!
