Final specs for Dawnwalker. How does everyone else feel about this? Sounds like this may be a performance hazard at first

Final specs for Dawnwalker. How does everyone else feel about this? Sounds like this may be a performance hazard at first

I’m scared it may be released with a bunch of performance issues.

Does anyone feel like the enemies damage are over tuned?

I’m about 5 hours in and I’m enjoying a lot about the game, but the amount of damage enemies do is starting to feel more like artificial difficulty than actual challenge.

Even regular enemies can take off a massive chunk of health, and I’m frequently dead in two hits. On top of that, enemies are absolutely zooming around during fights. They close distance incredibly fast, attacks come out quickly, and it feels like you have very little room for error once multiple enemies are involved.
The combat is also starting to feel very parry first to me.

Instead of parrying being one tool among several, it feels like the game heavily pushes you toward waiting for an attack and parrying because actually trading blows or trying to play aggressively can get you deleted almost instantly.

I’m completely fine with difficult combat and being punished for mistakes, but I’d rather the challenge come from enemy movesets, positioning, timing, and encounter design than enemies simply doing enormous amounts of damage.

I feel like the combat could still be challenging if enemy damage was toned down a bit and you had more room to actually engage with all of the mechanics instead of every mistake potentially ending the fight.

For people who are farther into the game, does this change as you progress, or does the combat continue to feel this punishing and parry focused?
Curious what everyone else thinks about the current balance.

Legion pro 5 5070 ti, running mortal shell 2 on everything ultra and native. This is Mortal Shell 2 but I’m still happy with this

First game I’m trying on my laptop and it looks amazing. I’m sure I can put things on ultra and turn ray tracing off but I’m happy with this performance. Not saying moral shell 2 is a crazy triple a game but great experience with this lap top so far.

Also playing on my lg c5 has been a game changer.

I have the Legion Pro 5 5070 ti, 32 gigs of ram (12 gigs vram) i9 275, how future proofed am I?

Wondering the high/ultra now vs when to switch to medium/high future. My opinion, I feel like at least the next three years at high end performance and it’ll drop off slowly after that but I’m not a huge tech guy, so wondering what your guys opinions are?

Finally pulled the trigger on the 5i pro 5070 ti!

After way too much research, I finally ordered a Lenovo Legion Pro 5i with the following specs:

CPU: Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Laptop (12GB)
RAM: 32GB DDR5
Storage: 1TB NVMe SSD
Display: 16” 2560×1600 (1600p)

The plan is to use it for a mix of AAA gaming and everyday productivity. I’m hoping it’ll last me several years without feeling outdated.
For those who own this model:
How have the thermals and fan noise been?
Any recommended Lenovo Vantage settings for the best balance of performance and temperatures?
Anything I should do or uninstall when I first get it?
How has the RTX 5070 Ti Laptop GPU been for modern games at 1600p?

Just bought the Legion 5i with the 5070, what has people’s experience been with it?

Getting back into pc gaming finally, thought I would make a decent sized purchase to start. Excited to finally get it but what have you guys liked about it? And maybe not liked about it.

Sorry if this has been posted a lot but this is easily in my top 3 energy drink flavors 10/10

This tastes amazing, pretty much like I’m eating a candy apple. Definitely recommend, 10/10.

This infuriates me, that is all

No one was giving him the ball today, he looked tired of it to be honest.

Gotta love loading up a save and randomly loading into a wall

Was zoned in last night killing the crawlers inside the old mine, but decided it was time for some much needed sleep. Saved in a good area and go to reload to smash some more crawlers, well now I randomly load into a wall and my last auto save was an hour before I saved. Never had this happen before.

Looking for some outside opinions on whether this is worth bringing up to my DM or if I should just let it go.

We’re all level 5. About five real world months ago (roughly two months in-game), our party killed a giant lightning eel in an arena. We harvested parts from it, took them to a smith, paid gold, and asked if he could make lightning knuckle dusters for my monk. He agreed, so I figured they’d be a cool custom item tied to something we earned instead of just finding random loot.

We finally got back to the city to pick them up, and they impose disadvantage on Sleight of Hand checks because they’re constantly shimmering (makes sense). If they’re coated in a specific in world shimmer weed, they deal an extra 1 lightning damage once per turn. Other than that, my unarmed strikes are still just normal bludgeoning damage, they don’t even become lightning damage.

I wasn’t expecting some overpowered magic item at level 5, but after waiting five months in real life, gathering rare monster parts, paying gold, and making it into a whole side quest, they feel incredibly underwhelming. My Scimitar of Spite is honestly just better, so I don’t really see a reason to use the gloves.
Would it be reasonable to politely bring this up to my DM and ask if they’d consider tweaking them a bit? Even something as simple as changing my unarmed strikes’ damage type to lightning would make them feel much more unique without really increasing their power much. Or is this one of those situations where I should just accept the item as is and move on?

This commentator on the super high roller is awful

I had to mute my TV. Who is this guy? Not talking about Ali. I’d rather listen to Martin nonstop rambling at a table than this dude.

My friend said downtown parking is free on weekends, do they fill quickly?

Waited last minute for parking sadly. My buddy said downtown parking where meters are normally free, are they safe to park at?

Anyone park at the Wal Mart that’s close by and Uber to the fest?

Looking for an easy place to park that’s not going to cost too much with a ride share.

Wawa on Dixie, relatively cheap compared to other places.

For anyone seeking cheaper gas. Not sure how long it will stay this low lol

Trying to contend, TE Premium as well, should I try and trade McBride or Warren for upgrades anywhere else? I love my TE duo but thought about trying to upgrade

I’m high on Bryce too, he’s been improving every year. Was thinking about another RB or WR.
