What do you make of the idea of having former pros featured as guest mentors some weeks?

So think, like Cynthia Erivo's role on movie week.

What if we had former pros doing that perhaps for some of the non theme weeks in the competition (perhaps to distinguish the week/episode a bit better), and maybe at later points of the season, so there'd be more time for a 5th person's comments at the judging table. They wouldn't have to score, but like Cynthia could probably offer critiques and advice in rehearsal and the live show, maybe take part in a little guest dance number in the results show, and it would be nice to see them back.

Oti, Kevin, Karen Hardy, Ian, Erin etc would all be fantastic at it!

This "Wow Moment" theme in the Next Pro last night...

Gosh, I hated it. Don't get me wrong, I get WHY it was a theme, but I hated that it even had to be a theme.

And even more, I hate that they seem to be judging solely based on the night rather than take into account everything we've seen.

Like Erik and Selena may not have had a distinguishable "wow moment" in their dance, but it felt like the judges were taking away from all the good things they'd done in the last 4 weeks. Especially when let's say someone else may have been difficult to work with (Nina), but because they had a 'wow moment', they're safe.

And like, Dani's own husband Pasha is a pro I can pinpoint who doesn't resort to "wow moments" every week. Val is another one. Sure, the knee walks went viral, but they're a common Paso Doble step? Mark did it with Lindsey Stirling, Sasha did it with Jenn Tran. Countless male celebs have done it (heck! Where was the applause from the judges for Sam Champion doing them?!). That's why I enjoy seeing, for example, Pasha and Brandon's more traditional approach there.

Like its nothing against when a pro throws in a wow moment or trick, but by this logic and how it "gets you votes" and how Selena and Erik were berated for not having a stand our wow moment, you'd expect EVERY current pro to have one for EVERY dance, and EVERY style to "get more votes". 🙄

And again it felt like forcing a wow moment, which is exactly the problem we've seen before - after Danny and Witney's leg lift in the contemporary, production kept assigning them specialty dances back to back in hopes of recreating the impact and it really messed up his dark horse arc and to me let to Witney almost having to take her eye off the ball to try and force another wow moment.

I don't know. I guess it shows how much the show has changed. I completely get WHY they had a round for this genre, but I hate that they had to 😭

This stupid Dreamland Quest 😭😭😭

I just unlocked my reward, I went for the 101 Dalmatians Chest, (mind you I'm missing quite a lot from that collection, I only have Anita, Penny, and Lucky, and the Radcliffe house, (plus all the concessions and the decoration). And what do I get?

A dalmatian macaroon stand and the dog nook decoration - both going straight into the elixir cauldron lol 😭😭😭
