Would you rather fly Premium one way and Main back or Comfort Plus both ways?

I have an upcoming trip to Europe. I have a premium seat for my flights from the US to London with Virgin Atlantic. On the way back, I have just a plain main ticket for Brussels back to the states on Delta. One layover both ways in ATL.

Topo Designs Block Bag Review

Hello!

I purchased the Block Bag 2 months ago and have used it daily since. I have never used an edc bag before but I got tired of constantly forgetting stuff or misplacing it because I didn’t have a proper home base for it. I saw it while I was searching for a….tote bag I could use while traveling. I can confidently say my life has been split into my life before and after my block bag.

To start off with the good. I love the bag. It has changed my personal organization completely. The storage compartments are very convenient and the sizing of the bag is honestly perfect for my needs, I could add more inside but it would make it bulky and uncomfortable to carry. The aesthetics of the bag itself are also pleasing, the zippers are *chefs kiss* and the pulls are comfortably sized. The decorative paracord on the large compartment pulls also act as a soft anti pickpocket system. You weave them together like in the 6th picture and undoing it causes enough ruckus that you will notice. Otherwise, I use a carabiner on the pulls(7th pic) when out in high density public areas(live music shows) as theft prevention.

To move onto what I don’t/didn’t like—this specific color scheme did not have a contrasting color on the interior to help you find things. Other colors of the same bag do have it, would’ve been cool if the interior was red, but it’s not the end of the world. At first it was a gripe, but then I realized that the bag isn’t big enough to *need* that contrast because once things are where they belong, that’s where they are. My one true major gripe is the shoulder strap. For beginners, the triglide/cinch position/orientation is off to me. When you have it at max length, no big deal. But when you want it shorter, you have the excess amount of webbing just dangling (pic 8)and it has caught on things for me before. In pic 9, I have the Topo Mountain Utility totes strap for reference on what would’ve been *my* preference on the triglides + throw in a shoulder cushion just cause. Just copy that strap 1:1, slap it on the Block Bag and call it a day.

I used it a few times for fishing at a local pond and replaced most of the contents with a small Plano tackle box + crappie magnet tackle box. Useful? Yes. But a crossbody is not inherently the ideal bag for that situation. It moves freely due to a single strap so during the commotion of reeling a fish in, the bag just flops around and gets in the way.

Overall, 9/10 solely because no bag is perfect. I would recommend in a heartbeat.

Mountain Utility Tote review will come once I have a chance to use it for its’ intended purpose of camp/travel but I already am using it to keep a change of clothes in my car.

Topo Crazy

My EDC block bag, girlfriend’s mini quick pack and the mountain utility tote for camping & travel. Their color schemes do it for me.

Re/Supply + coupon blessed my girlfriend and I’s future camping endeavors

Already inflated it and aside from a few dirt marks on the side that faces the floor, practically new.

Just got an ultralight rod setup for the first time, wanting to mainly target panfish. Are trout magnets a good place to start? Would panfish magnets instead make a difference? Anything else I should snag while I’m at the tackle shop?

Hey yall, I need some help. I’m trying to add some better looking compression straps to my duffel bag. I have these Sea to Summit straps I currently use but I don’t entirely like how they look and they’re annoying to hook up. I want something like the third pic on my luggage where I can just buckle it together and then cinch it down. I know I can just buy webbing + repair buckles but I wanted to see if there was anything specific anybody recommends. Thanks!
