My salamanders successor WIP
I just finished the kitbashed chapter master of my homebrew “Afterburners” made from Agrax Agatone and a lot of other bits/apoxie sculpt. I’ve got 15 models and the bases to go.

I have a homebrew salamanders successor for combat patrol and needed a chapter master. After a LOT of kitbashing, sculpting, and painting, I have Cathus Artedae or “the vulture” to lead the afterburners.
Is space wizard tax season and Magnus hasn’t filed in 10000 years. Jk great model and just wish I could’ve painted it in a subassembly.
It’s bittersweet that I don’t get to keep this one haha. This model is packed with the smallest Easter eggs Ive ever done.
I got the Tacticus board game and had pretty low expectations for the push fit sculpts but I was very wrong. Ramus here was all around no issue and the detail was phenomenal, especially the face. He comes with an optional helmet too.
I just got my Tacticus board game today and dropped everything to paint Ramus. I was surprised with the sculpt quality and how well the push fit came together. The face has really well done detail. The Soyjack pointing pose is hilarious too.
If yall are on the fence about the board game I hope the Ramus sculpt here helps you decide. They put some real effort into to it and I really hope my painting did it justice.
I posted the WIP for this firefighter bust and got some great feedback for the eyes. After just a little more work and more intentional color placement it went from soulless to the best eyes I’ve ever painted! The bust is done now and I really appreciate the help.
I’ve been painting for a while but I’ve very rarely deviated from anything outside of 28-32mm so this bust from tigerdio is a new experience for me. I can see why there are people that only pain busts because it’s kinda awesome. I’m not going for any competition kind of thing, it’s for a little plaque for my fire school class.
In preparation for painting my salamander’s combat patrol I painted this Cowled Warden in the absolute easiest NMM I could that would still look really neat. I mapped out in pure white on a black primer, blended with some easy airbrush work, and hit it with a color filter before calling it a day. I’ll spend a little more time to make a base and maybe fix up the bolter but he’s at a nice standard for only a couple hours of work and I can replicate it in any color I need to.
I tried a test scheme (the banner guy) a while back but decided to flip it to see how it would look. I’m sticking with this and I’ll be using this scheme for the rest of my combat patrol.
My second test model and I think I can stick with this scheme over the banner bearer.
I just started my combat patrol box and tried a different approach for my scheme than when I painted my banner bearer. Do yall think they work well enough together to sell as the same chapter?
I’ve been learning to emulate elminiaturista and Flameon’s styles over the past few months and decided to do something different with my limited time this weekend. It reminded me of the painted world of Ariamis in Dark souls and it only took about 2 hours so I really like it.
I’m unfortunately out of enough Oldhammer rubric bits for full models but I just really enjoy making unique space rizzards. I sacrificed a Stormcast dude and some Tazaangor bits to make this guy with what rubric parts I had left! The painting is not great but I’m in Fire school so I’ll come back to it.
I didn’t have enough Oldhammer Tson bits for another rubric but I did have some Stormcast I’ll never use, Tzaangor bits, paperclips, and plenty of ApoxieSculpt. I’m in school for firefighting rn so the painting is not to my normal standards but it’ll do.
