What's a small daily habit you have that sounds weird when you say it out loud but genuinely improves your day?

Not a wellness routine. The actually strange specific thing that works for you personally and that you've never really explained to anyone

Do you actually trust whatsapp backups or do you still worry about losing chats?

Even though WhatsApp has backup options, I still feel a bit uneasy relying on them. I’ve heard stories of people losing chats when switching devices or restoring backups, and it makes me double check everything before making any changes. At the same time, I don’t want to overthink something that should be simple. Do you fully trust the backup system, or do you take extra steps just in case?

am i overthinking this or is finding a wedding guest dress impossible

ok so i dont even know where to start ive been looking for something to wear to my cousins wedding for like a month now and im losing my mind a little bit. every time i think i found something there is always some stupid problem with it like the fabric is paper thin or the fit is weird or it looks completely different from the online photo

the wedding is in like 3 weeks its at a vineyard outside and the dress code says semi formal. im 5'2" by the way so everything is always too long on me which is its own nightmare

so heres my struggle. i see all these dresses online that look cute but then i read reviews and people say the quality is trash or its see through or it wrinkles if you even look at it wrong. i dont wanna be that person at the wedding constantly pulling at my dress or feeling self conscious

has anyone here tried them? do they run small or big? i hate ordering online especially for something expensive cause what if it comes and the length is still weird on me even though they say its for petites. returns are free i think but still its a hassle and with only 3 weeks left i dont have time to do a bunch of back and forth

also color wise im lost. its at a vineyard so maybe something earthy? or is that too boring. part of me wants to just wear a jumpsuit cause im more comfortable in them but my mom keeps saying weddings are for dresses and i should at least try. but like why though. is it really a rule or is that just old school thinking

i saw some really nice jumpsuits and im tempted to just go that route. at least with a jumpsuit i know i wont be tugging at a hem all night or worrying about the length looking stupid. plus i can wear it again for other stuff not just weddings

i dont know im rambling at this point. i just want something that looks put together doesnt cost a fortune and wont make me look like a child playing dress up cause thats how i feel in most formal wear lol

any advice on specific styles colors or if that brand is worth the money would be great. thanks in advance

Done being a landlord after a nightmare tenant. Anyone else just sell and walk away?

so i've been managing a small duplex for about 5 years. nothing fancy, just some extra income on the side. but the last tenant i got completely destroyed the place. holes in walls, doors ripped off, kitchen cabinets broken, and he stopped paying rent 4 months ago.

eviction took forever. court dates, paperwork, missed work. finally got him out but the place is trashed. contractor quoted me $25k to get it rent ready again. new drywall, new doors, new flooring, paint, plus some plumbing fixes from whatever they did in there.

i dont have that kind of cash sitting around. and honestly after dealing with this guy, i just dont have the energy anymore. the stress has been killing me. every time my phone rings i think its another problem with the property.

i've thought about getting a hard money loan to fix it up but rates are crazy right now. also thought about just listing it as-is with a realtor but agent said it would sit forever in this condition.

so now im looking at those -we buy houses for cash companies.

has anyone here actually sold a rental property to one of these cash buyers? were you happy with the offer or did you feel like you got screwed? and did you try other options first like selling to another investor or doing seller financing?

i know i probably wont get top dollar selling this way. but at this point im just tired and want to be done. any real experiences would help a lot. thanks.

How often do things actually break in a house?

I feel like every couple weeks it’s something new.

Nothing huge so far, but small issues keep popping up - loose handle, minor leak, random noise, etc.

Is this just part of owning a home, or am I getting unlucky?

relocating for a new job means the house sale has to happen fast with no time left for repairs or staging. local reviews led straight to homeoptions for a cash offer and the deal closed in ten days keeping the move right on schedule without extra costs or delays where timing is everything these days. the process stayed simple from start to finish.

anyone else handled a quick sale while relocating for work lately?

appreciate the help

▲ 1 r/Bass

There is something incredibly primal about the way a physical vibration can bypass the ears and go straight to the chest especially when you realize that the bass guitar is the ultimate and heavy rhythmic bridge, a deliberate rejection of the thin and the shrill in favor of a frequency that is all about the grit and the foundation, it feels like a masterclass in structural pressure where the raw and heavy tension of a long-scale neck and the high energy punch of a split coil pickup become a direct connection to the heartbeat of the room, and even with all the high tech digital sub-synths and the hyper-processed production there is still no replacement for that first and vulnerable moment of plugging into a massive stack and feeling the heavy and tactile reality of a low E-string moving the actual air around your body

So here's the situation. My grandma passed away a few months ago and left her house to me and my two sisters. The house is in Pennsylvania, not far from Philly. It's an old row home, probably built in the 1920s. Lots of character but also lots of problems. Roof leaks, old wiring, basement floods when it rains heavy.

Here's where it gets messy. One sister wants to keep the house and rent it out for passive income. The other sister wants to put money into fixing it up and then list it with a realtor to try and get top dollar. Me? I just want to sell it as-is and walk away. I don't have extra cash for repairs and I definitely don't want to be a landlord from three states away (I live in Florida now).

We've been arguing about this for two months now. Meanwhile the house is just sitting there. Every month we wait, property taxes are due, utilities are still on, and the roof is probably getting worse. It's stressful.

So I need some real advice from people who've been here.

Has anyone here dealt with sibling disagreements on an inherited property? How did you get everyone on the same page?

And for those who sold to a cash buyer, how close was their offer to what you thought the house was worth? Did you feel like you got screwed or was the convenience worth it?

I just want this chapter closed so we can all move on with our lives. But I also don't want to look back in five years and feel like I got taken advantage of.

Any honest opinions or personal stories would really help. Thanks

If you’ve been to the Philippines more than once, I’m curious how you approached your second trip. Did you revisit places you already liked, or focus entirely on new destinations? Part of me wants to go back to the same islands and just enjoy them more slowly. Another part feels like there’s so much to see that it would be a waste not to explore something new.
