My young baby absolutely loves running his hands through my beard and mashing his face against it, and I want to be extra safe so I've discontinued my mainstream products and am just using pure coconut oil at the moment. The coconut oils been..ok. I haven't had any skin reactions to it but it's just not moisturizing quite as much as I'd like (I don't need any skin moisture, just beard, my skins always been perfect under my beard with no dryness, flaking or itching)

I've used jojoba oil in the past but I'm not a big fan of it, smell or effect wise. Wondering if anyone has any suggestions that won't irritate a baby's eyes or mouth if they're rubbing straight into it or if sticking with the coconut oil is my best bet.

Beards about 7-8 inches long.

I struggled a bit with the title but, to break it down , my child is 2 and a half months old now, I didn't feel any initial bond when he was born but I expected one to develop and...it hasn't yet..

I've never been a huge fan of children, although they love me universally for some reason. My wife had some health issues that were supposed to guarantee she could never have children, and that worked for me; but she always wanted them and when she became pregnant with a "miracle" baby that should not have been possible I couldn't voice any opposition to it. Although I'm also imo too old for children (40) and that factored into it as well, she's quite a bit younger.

Anyway with that backstory out of the way, I *think* I'm a good dad so far, I'd do anything for the baby but , I'd do anything for any baby dropped into my care regardless of relation, and honestly this just feels exactly like that, caring for someone else's random baby.

I flagged this as advice and I guess it's partly that and partly just venting feelings. I really hope I develop more paternal feelings towards the little guy, and even if I don't I'll do my best to shower him with affection, I'm just worried my lack of "familial" feelings will have an impact on him if I don't develop them. And I'm curious if anyone else has had a similar experience and what the outcome ended up being.

Is this due to the no fault coming in?

I've been driving/licensed/insured for 25 years; had one 50/50 at fault 4.5 years ago, no other accidents or tickets ever, which knocks me out of the maximum rate increase limit sadly.

Just got my TD renewal and for PLPD on a 10 year old beater, less than 16,000 KM driven a year, my rates gone up 400$ from 1600 to 2000.

I thought that was a bit ridiculous so went around and got some quotes; the cheapest anyone else will offer me is 4K, with most being 5k+ . What even

*QD7QF These things have a ridiculously short 5 minute power off timer, doesn't seem like a big deal at first but with a newborn this thing turns off whenever you pause it to do *anything* and then when restarting it doesn't go back to where you were so you need to relaunch whatever app, find what you were watching etc and by the time you're back in you need to step aside for 5 minutes to change a diaper and olol repeat.

It's a firetv series but Hisense in their infinite wisdom seem to have removed the auto off settings that exist in other fire tvs

Just moved into a new apartment that's congested as hell, most of the 5ghz channels have 10+ AP's on them, there's a few that are almost completely clear. My stupid rogers gateway, without fail, after every reboot picks the most congested channels so I'm getting dropped packets everywhere making the wireless useless for anything except basic web browsing and video streaming..Did some testing with an old router I had lying around and sure enough if i manually pick one of the least congested channels there it's all smooth. Meanwhile connections to the rogers gateway on its congested channel have 30+ ms of jitter to the gateway... (Xb7 if it matters, no channel options in xfinity and they seem to have locked it out of the gateway browser settings)

I have a firestick 4k max, onn 4k pro and a fire cube, they all have varying levels of performance but without fail they'll all choke and start stuttering on video files over ~20-30 gigs, much less the 60 gig files i'd ideally like to be watching, using exo or VLC. (and no it's not my internet or wireless since stremio on a laptop is flawless)

I'm curious if anyone has any recommendations for android devices that can handle it, that aren't the shield pro.

Somewhat new to the game I'm curious if this is a glitch or I'm missing something.

I've had a house feud going on with another house for 300 years now. Every time I check it in house relations it's -30. I've spent several rulers lifespans picking all the de escalate options, and despite those showing in the house relation history it's always still -30. I then spent another 60 years picking all the antagonistic options and murdering the shit out of all of them, still -30.

Long story short i'm not a fan of the apple ecosystem and use a mac without an apple account. The apple silicone mac app you download directly on the website is an old version with only wireguard and ikev2 for protocol options, that can't be auto updated to the latest version and everything breaks if you use bypasser. The app store version is newer and works apparently, but I refuse to add an apple account, so this makes surfshark pretty useless to me on mac 😞

Wondering if anyone has any thoughts re: this. been using surfshark on my windows and android devices no problem. Installed it on my M3 macbook today and upon connecting to any server, it instantly kills dns.

I can ping external IP's. Tried different protocols, killswitch is off, added some other custom dns resolvers to the conection via macos settings. And nope. Kills DNS every time.

I've also tried flushing DNS and resetting the interface via terminal, no change.

Surfshark version says it's fully up to date at 4.27.0

edit: after further testing i've found it's specifically the bypasser, if I turn it on it kills dns at a system level for everything, in the bypass list or not. So it works with bypasser off but that's not exactly ideal.

We have a 4 day old baby, hospital told us to feed him every 3 hours at the longest if he doesn't fuss for food sooner, (he doesn't more often than not) but I've found conflicting info online on whether that should be from when he starts, or finishes eating. He lost a bit of weight in the hospital (but he's still not underweight) solely breastfeeding and they advised us to top up after every breastfeeding with formula which we've been doing, but he'll take 40+ minutes to finish his breast feeding, have 20-30 ml of formula as a top up , at which point a solid hour will have passed, and then we're waking him up again in two hours since the majority of sources seem to indicate you count from when they start feeding, is this right?
