Adopting an Adult Dog

Adopting an Adult Dog

Hi! I’m adopting an adult Havi- this is my second Havi but first time bringing home an adult dog.

I never used the pet pens after they were puppies- and never used one for my Havi- do you recommend them for adult dogs? I don’t leave home very often- every other week for about 3 hours max. Once a month for 5 hours to visit specialists (I’m on disability)

He is potty pad and doggie door trained. I don’t have a doggie door but I do have a fenced in courtyard and plan to take him out every 2 hours for the first few weeks until he gets comfortable at my house.
Thanks for any advice you can give me.

What’s up with steam catapults?

I remember DJT bringing this up a zillion years ago- but then it went quiet. Today I learn that we are tearing out the new technology and replacing it with steam.
I don’t have any close friends that served to ask. So I am asking my fellow strangers- are catapults better than the new system? If they were so bad why did we wait so long to remove them? link to WSJ article

Article about men and the birth rate…

I don’t know if the HRT patch that I put on this evening has t totally taken effect- but this article really made me mad.
Like ok- some men are helping out more- but like are they helping out enough? Did our kids see how damn exhausted we were while we worked full time jobs and say- nope not for me?
Am I over reacting?

Interior designer

Hi.
Does anyone have recommendations for an interior designer? I’d be open to virtual help. I have a two room project so I know it’s super small. My budget is about 125-175 per hour.
Thanks for any recommendations you can give me!

Worst ex ever

I can’t decide what outrages me more.
The POS detective who conducted a terrible interview of a SA victim
OR
The women who wrote to the SOB in prison.

At first I thought- oh the detective is trying to butter him up- then he’ll drop the hammer. BUT NO! He kept saying he works for the victims. That guy has probably never worked for a victim a day in his life!

Then when the woman says- when he was in jail all these women started writing in… I thought all these survivors were coming out of the woodwork. BUT NO they wanted to be with him? Like really? Why would you ever but yourself in harms way?

Seriously one of the saddest episodes. His Dad was amazing and I hope everyone that was touched by this monster is in therapy.

I was married for 25 years and divorced for 2. I’m wondering what made you decide to go on the apps and date?
I’m torn. I have a full life and am very busy- but I’m not sure I can put myself out there again.
So here I am asking- what made y’all commit to dating?
What makes the desire weigh more than the risk?
Thanks!
***Edit*** Thank you all for your responses. I have hope. Good luck to all of us out there!
