Algeria's Euro problem is way bigger than the Euro
€1 = 220 DZD in the square 5 years ago, now it's around 280, while the official rate is 155 DZD lol
The funniest part?? The average algerian can’t even freely buy euros at that "official" price, so we keep measuring salaries and purchasing power using a rate that most ppl can't actually access
Meanwhile the dinar keeps bleeding, prices keep rising and our purchasing power keeps getting cooked
And after years of this happening openly, it's fair to ask: who tf is benefiting from this system?? Cuz someone definitely is
And i think the only ppl really winning from this mess are those earning in euros abroad, their money gets stronger every day while those of us earning in DZD stay here and get poorer, and possibly the corrupt officials are benefiting from this broken system as well
The economy isn't moving forward, we're just getting better at pretending the numbers are fine

Bro is allowed to enjoy the beach, but his 12 yo daughter isn't?
Today i saw a little girl probably around 12, wearing hijab, sitting on a beach looking miserable cuz her dad wouldn’t let her swim.. meanwhile bro is out there shirtless, enjoying the water, showing off his completely hairless chest and that massive beard like a damn gorilla who just discovered the beach
And this is what pisses me off, like im not trying to tell ppl how to raise their kids but she’s literally a CHILD!!!!! yet somehow some of these extremists are obsessed with policing a little girl’s body, clothes and "MODESTY" before she’s even had the chance to just be a kid
Like bro, you’re enjoying the beach with your chest out, but your 12 yo daughter can’t even swim???
And the hypocrisy gets even crazier when some of these same ppl are willing to justify grown men marrying girls around that age while acting like a child's body is somehow "too provocative" to be seen
At some point this stops being about religion and starts looking like an unhealthy obsession with controlling girls
Let kids be f*cking kids
Edit: i actually know this family personally and im familiar with the way he thinks, so im not just making assumptions based on what i saw. Thank you

Why is marriage becoming so difficult for young Algerians?
Met up w/ a friend today who's tryna get married. Dude's got a stable job, works hard, and he's still stressed af cuz it feels almost impossible.
Got me thinking....
Am I the only one who feels like we're making marriage way harder than it needs to be?
In a lot of countries, ppl just get married. Maybe a small ceremony, rent a tiny apartment, no GOLD and build their life together bit by bit. Here it sometimes feels like u need to unlock 20 achievements before you're "allowed" to marry her,,,
First u need a house. Then GOLD. Then expensive furniture. Then a huge wedding so the whole fam is happy. And ofc everyone has an opinion on what u should buy and how much u should spend.
Meanwhile house prices keep going up, salaries barely move, and then we act surprised that so many ppl are still single in their late 20s and 30s.
I'm not saying we should ditch our traditions. Culture matters. But do we really need all this pressure? Wouldn't a simple wedding be better than waiting 10 years just to afford one day?
What's the bigger problem in Algeria?
- Housing crisis + bad policies?
- Our social expectations around marriage?
- Or both????
Genuinely curious what u guys think!!
