2006 Is350; 150k miles $7700

Hey all; I’m looking for a car and deciding between an older Is350 or an Acura TL Type S.
This one has a new water pump and alternator, as well as new tires. The carfax suggests it’s been cared for as there are a lot of reports every 5-15k miles. Just curious if any owners of around these years can share some insight on what to expect. I have an ‘04 Es330 and I know these cars are reliable, but it is 20 years old so just looking for some extra input. Thanks!

Hesitant on a 200k+ mile Type S

I’m really close to pulling the trigger on this automatic 2007 Type S near me with 202k miles. It’s had a ton of recent maintenance done like the belt and pump, some suspension, brakes, valve gasket replacement and more. It seems like it’s been well taken care of according to the condition and carfax but 200k even for a Honda is making me hesitant. Thoughts?

2008 TL Type S 200k miles for 6200?

Before you call me crazy there has been a ton of maintance on the carfax. Timing belt and water pump were done DIY, he seems upfront and trustworthy through talking to him and his profile. New tires, Struts and springs, brake pads/rotors, alternator, AC condenser and compressor, valve cover gaskets with spark plugs, power steering pump, motor mounts have been done recently. He also had tint and an aftermarket screen done. 3 owners, it is automatic but don’t really care. Interior 8/10, exterior 7.5/10. Should I send it?

2008 TL Type S with 200k miles for $6,200?

Before you call me crazy, the carfax is stacked and has had a TON of recent maintenance. Brand new tires, timing belt and water pump were claimed to be done DIY but he works at a shop and seems very trustworthy in all honesty. New valve cover gaskets and spark plugs, tensioners, motor mounts, breaks, power steering pump, alternator, struts, ac compressor. Tint and AC works which are nice as well as aftermarket screen. It is Automatic, but I don’t really care. Clean title. 3 owners. Exterior 7/10, interior 8. Should I send it?

How bad is this oil leak?

2004 Lexus es330 180,000 miles. I’ve owned it for like 7k miles so far and honestly I feel dumb not noticing this until now. There are no spots in my driveway where I park the car that suggests an oil leak though and I got an oil change 3500 miles ago; the oil level is damn near the same with good oil color. I honestly can’t say I smell a distinct oil smell when I park the car or anything. How bad is this?

08 TL Type S, 200k miles for 4.5k?

Automatic Type s for 4.5. The interior is super clean with minor dash cracking. No tears in the seats. Exterior is a 7.7/10. The carfax is a solid 8 as well, regular oil changes, timing belt at 100k so I’d have to do it if I bought it. Breaks were done recently, new coolant and other random maintained like gaskets valve covers and new intake manifold. Cop?

07 TL Type S 157k miles 6.8k, good deal?

Hey all there is an automatic TL S on marketplace for 6.8k and 157k miles. The carfax is alright just typical maintenance. The car is in great condition I would be the 5th owner. The only thing I’m iffy on is there is no report of a Timing belt and water pump service. He says it was done before his ownership, obviously don’t know how true that is. I did ask for a better price and offered 5.9 which he actually seemed pretty agreeable too (kinda sus ik). Please let me know any thoughts because I have been looking for a type s for so long and I’m just ready to pull the trigger atp

Going to see/buy Type S on Saturday; what should I look for

Hi all like the title says I’m going to see a white 150k mile automatic Acura TL Type S for 6,000. I negotiated down from 7. It’s had 4 owners total and the carfax seems good, regular oil changes and basic maintenance with the valve cover and coolant done recently. The timing and water pump are not on the report but the owner says it was done by the owner before him who was a technician. What should I look for? I’ll obviously check for leaks and rust but I mean more specifically for the TLS. Thanks

White Type S 230,000 miles automatic for 4.5 grand, should I buy it?

Like I said there’s a white Type S near me for 5 grand but he said he’d do 4500. Clean title fully stock automatic. The seats are perfect since they were just redone. Timing belt and water pump done twice, second time was done 20k miles ago. Oil changes every 5k miles and brand new tires. The car mechanically is perfect as well with no lights on the dash. Only cosmetic issue are scuffs on the rear passenger side fender, black window lining paint fade and a big paint chip in the front bumper. Would you do 4500?

2 Weeks Post Op

2 weeks post op with Dr Khalifeh in Tyson’s VA. I’m loving results so far, pain has subsided for the most part. Albeit I am a littttttle more puffy in person on the second photo due to swelling. Still, amazing and life changing procedure

Am I crazy for considering this 150k mile 2011 335i?

150k miles listed for 7.5k on Facebook. I know sounds crazy, but it has been mechanic owned and looks very clean. It’s near me and been listed for 30 days. Clean title 2 owners. What’s making me consider it is all the major maintenance has been done (photos). If it drives as well as it looks then I am strongly considering it. Id obviously have cash set aside. Is this dumb to consider?

What can I expect reliability wise from a 100k mile 2011+ 335i/535i?

I have money set aside for repairs obviously but I’m looking for an n55 under 10k. I know it will come with some stuff needing replacing so I’m asking what those things will be? There’s a good amount of 335s and 535s with good service records showing replaced gasket covers, water pumps being done as well as other miscellaneous things. What should I look for? What should I expect? If any 2011+ owners could chime in with their experiences that would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Should I buy a well maintained 08 White 220k mile Type S this wknd?

I’ve posted about this before on this sub a couple days ago but I’m on edge if I should go get it on Saturday. He’s willing to do 5k, I think I can get him down to 4500 for an automatic (which I want lol) clean title Type S. Trans service, Timing belt and water pump, suspension work, spark plugs and oil change and more has been done in the past 20k miles. Great exterior condition, interior is pretty damn nice as well. Should I send it??? Will put 8k miles on it yearly and spirited driving will occur. Let me know what I should look for if go see it as well

8 Days Post-Op; when will the results be shown?

I was grade 2 and had it removed along with Lipo with a very highly board certified surgeon near me. I don’t know if it’s in my head, but it still looks like I have gyno to me 8 days post op. Granted not the same amount, but to me my chest still looks odd. I am still in pain, and the surgery itself was pretty painful for me so maybe I’m just healing slowly or something. But not sure, a little worried I will be unsatisfied with my results. Lmk when I should expect better results, or if this is it.

Can I daily and spirit drive a 220k mile Type S?

Car has tune up, suspension work and timing as well as water pump. Trans service as well. 3 owners, I’d be the 4th. Looks very clean inside and out. I will daily this, probably put 6-8k miles on it yearly. Will drive normally or spirited depending on the day, I’m not going to drive a type s like a grandma lol nobody would. Do you guys think it’d be reliable? Thanks

5 Days Post-Op; my sleep has been TERRIBLE.

As the title says I have been progressing well in my recovery, but sleep is getting to me. I keep waking up at like 4am, wanting to roll over but I legit can’t because of obvious reasons, (incisions and lipo.) Anybody have any tips on what to do to get better sleep? It’s really getting to me and I’m getting more tired day by day.

5.5k for 220k mile Type S?

This guy is selling his clean title 07 TL-S for 6.5 but says he can do 5.5. 220k miles for a clean title. He had the timing belt and water pump done recently, has the receipts the car is fully serviced. Also said the mechanics he’s taken it to have claimed the engine and trans are really healthy but that’s neither here or there. Passed inspection and emissions. AC is perfect. What do you guys think? Automatic

After I can shower on day 3 do I put all the padding back and the vest or just the vest?

I have my arms wrapped, then my vest and padding underneath. When I can shower which is in roughly 24 hours, should I put all the padding back or can I just wear the vest? The surgeons office assistant that I called didn’t really give me a straight answer. Can anyone tell me from experience?

Did anybody’s else’s surgery really hurt?

I had my operation done yesterday (June 2nd); and it hurt a lot more than I thought. I was under the impression the numbing would hurt them I’m good, and it’s possible that I had a lot removed but damn it was rough. Dr. Khalifeh had to constantly numb me throughout, there were times I could feel sharp cutting pain, the numbing process was also pretty rough for me. Not to mention the laser at the end. This is not to complain and or bash Dr. K, he is very likable and kind and was checking up on me. Just curious if anyone else had a rough procedure? A lot of people in this sub seemed to have an easy surgery from their description.
