How was your day , people?
I’m a 21-year-old male, a little over 6 feet tall, and currently weigh around 140 kg.
I’ve reached a point where my weight is affecting almost every aspect of my life. I get tired easily, lack confidence, avoid taking photos, and constantly feel like I’m missing out on things people my age should be enjoying.
I’ve tried losing weight multiple times. I usually start motivated, follow a diet for a few days or weeks, then fall back into old habits.
The good thing is that I’ve recently started going to the gym and want to take this seriously.
My goal right now is not to get shredded or achieve a perfect physique. I just want to become healthier, more energetic, and get below 100 kg eventually.
I would really appreciate advice from people who started at a similar weight:
What changes gave you the biggest results?
How many calories should someone my size aim for?
Is walking + strength training enough initially?
How do you deal with cravings and binge eating?
Any realistic expectations for weight loss over the next 6–12 months?
Please be brutally honest if needed. I’m tired of making excuses and want this attempt to be different.
