Asbestos tile

I bought a new home last week. Yesterday, I discovered that there was water damage on the tiles peel and stick infront of fridge. Under the tiles was wood. Removed the moldy wood and another layer of some sort of peel and stick to find what is most likely asbestos tile. The tiles are peeling up from the moisture I assume. How would you go about fixing this? I know you can seal it them but I worry that there’s more water damage underneath the tile because of the peeling. Should I flatten out the tile as safely as possible then seal or remove it? Can you safely DIY the removal or or are you better off to hire somebody?

Woke up to pink spotting

I’m either 8-11 dpo, I just came off the birth control pill and haven’t tracked my ovulation yet. Last night I had mild cramping, this morning I woke up to a bit of pink blood followed by more cramps, there was no blood the next time I wiped. If you stopped taking levonorgestrel and estradiol, did you notice anything like this? Did you start your period early?

How did you cope without birth control?

For my gals with brutal periods, how did you cope during ttc? I experience an hour long intense painful contraction almost every cycle, I slapped birth control onto my issues. I’m going to make a doctors appointment to find out what’s wrong but in the mean time, how do you cope other then the obvious heating pad and pain killers? My symptoms don’t line up with endo or pcos, I think it’s a hormonal issue.

I might as well add here, how did you deal with your health anxiety? I have a huge fear of finding out what’s wrong with me even though my signs point to a hormonal issue. I also have ✨ trauma ✨ from going to the gyno at 15.

Ruptured cyst????

I came home from a night out and found a bloody wet (pus?) patch on my newfies tail . I can’t find any blood around the house, it doesn’t look like an injury and it doesn’t seem to bother her. I haven’t felt a lump, She recently got groomed and the groomer never said anything about a lump. Same with the vet. She recently got her lepto shot along with her dose of month nexgaurd if that’s important.

Is now a bad time to quit?

I’ve tried cold turkey twice, caving within 5 days. I’m getting married in September and want to start ttc asap. It hit me today that I will need to quit vaping to do so, same with my soon to be husband. Would I be setting myself up for failure if I started patches now?

Between now and September I am:
buying a house / moving - going to be on our own for the first time as I’ve live with my in law , the house also needs work

Having my bridal shower - sounds stupid but I have general anxiety and social anxiety I’m already stressed out about it

Stag and doe - see bridal shower for reasoning

Wedding - obvious reason

And a lot more personal dedications in between, I’m already pretty stressed thinking about my busy timeline in the next few months.

I feel like quitting now will either be a great time because I’ll be distracted and won’t have a reason to duck out in the bathroom to hit my vape or a bad time because I will have to deal with quitting on top of all the stress. Anyone else decide to quit during a busy point in your life?

Phobia of bugs

Hear me out. When I was 13 I got smoked by a car. For a good 2 years after, anything from seeing a fast moving shadow from the corner of my eye to someone scaring me would cause an intense reaction - screaming, cringing/bracing, being unable to move etc. after a few years, my brain stop perceiving sudden movement as a threat. Now I react to getting scared like anyone else.

I have that exact reaction to bugs. I blame this reaction on my dad chasing me with bugs that he killed as a kid lol it’s the only thing I can think of. Specifically bugs that are in my space. A bug on a side walk? Gross but it’s not that deep. A spider on the ceiling in my bedroom? Screaming, shaking, curling in a ball, covering my ears, hiding until my fiance eliminates the threat. How the hell do I fix this? I can’t live my life like this. How is it possible that my brain corrected a ptsd response from almost dying without any treatment but I react to a bug being in my space as if a serial killer is chasing me? Exposure therapy wont help as that would mean someone would need to hide bugs in my room periodically and even then if someone isn’t around to kill the bug / remove it I can relax and get over it. It’s the initial reaction.

*edit: I think the fear comes down to a bug ending up on me. Looking back, I’m sure my dad chasing me with bugs doesn’t help but as a young teenager, a tick embedded in the back of my leg. Seeing in under my skin was extremely traumatic. That is definitely where this intense reaction stems from

What are we doing with gifts off the registry for a bridal shower?

If people order off my registry, it comes to my house. What the heck do I do with them? Do I wrap them up and open them at my shower?!😭 do I make a slide show to play when opening gifts so the people who ordered off my registry don’t feel left out?!

Shaky engine from dirty oil

When I’m close to needing an oil change, my engine audibly shakes and you can see things shaking subtly in my car. I wasn’t due for an oil change for another 1000 kilometres/620miles (synthetic if that matters) but changed it anyways because of the shaking and it stops as usual. My question is, does the shaking mean that my engine could get damaged from the oil? Should I change my oil as soon as the shaking starts even if I’m 1000kms /620miles +? My car has a maintenance system and it recommend every 8000km/ 5000miles, is that too much? Mazda 3 2018 2.0
