How to clean up this household hammer?

How to clean up this household hammer?

Hi Everyone,

What should I use to clean up this hammer. It is a regular household hammer and I removed the handle grip from it because it was dried, cracked and coming apart. On the end of the hammer handle end it is black. What is that and what can clean it. I cleaned off rust with coke a cola that I had and that worked. There is some residual from a sticker that I can probably get off with goof off or goo gone. I just don't know what that black stuff it at the end of the handle. I bought some heat shrink grip that I'll use to replace the handle grip. Any other tips you have is appreciated. Check Pic! Thanks!

Which Thermal Paste to get?

Hi Everyone,

I am about to buy my first prebuilt gaming computer on Andromeda Insights. I am choosing a prebuilt with the option of customizing. In the custom section it asks what thermal paste to get. Since this is my first gaming PC and I don't know much about thermal paste, which should I get, check picture. Is there a difference between a $10 and a $17 Thermal Paste?

How do you know what Monitor your GPU can handle?

I'm looking into getting a new PC and it would be a decent rig with probably a 5070ti. I never really did know how monitors and GPUs should be able to handle each other. I currently have a 27" 1080p 240Hz. I currently have a 1070ti. My PC is about 8 years old. Monitor is about 3 years old so I'm guessing my monitor is overkill for my older 1070. When i get my 5070 I read that it will support all 2k game and some 4k. I play gta and would like to get into flight simulator and others. I play online and single player. When I get the 5070, my current monitor 1080p 240Hz I won't see the 2k, right? I've heard arguments of can you really tell the difference between FHD and QHD. I really don't know. How do you know what refresh rate to get and know if your GPU can handle it? How do you find that? What should I look for in a monitor for the 5070? With resolution, refresh rates and other monitor specs, I just don't know.

Ram: 2 Dimm slots vs 4 Dimm slots

I only get a computer every few years and looking at motherboards I see they have 2 RAM Dimm slots. I've always seen 4 slots. On the 2 slot boards if you want a 32gb, for example, you have the option of getting 1x32 or 2x16. I always thought that you need 2 sticks of RAM of the same size for it to work properly. Buying it in pairs. So if you were to upgrade a 2 slot dimm, would you have to replace both sticks? Can you have a 32gb and a 16gb in the 2 slots?

Your thoughts on these 5 gaming PCs from Newegg. Links

I am going to be getting a new PC probably next month, I hope there is a good 4th of July sale on one of these. They are all very similar. Some are 1tb and others are2tb storage. I can do with 1tb since I put my games on a separate internal SSD. I have been using Intel for years but I hear AMD is better at this time. 5070TI and 32gb RAM. What are your thoughts on the brands? I think I chose some good ones from what I read on other posts. I hope the prices are reasonable. This would be my first gaming computer. I've had several Dell XPS in the past and they have been good for games. I play GTAV on my current Dell 8930 with a 1070TI. I thought I would try a different brand. Dell custom is putting it at $3000, so i think I'll look elsewhere. I'm not a big gamer but would like to do more if time permits. I don't really want to go more than $2700. Also, I've heard when you buy on Newegg to be sure it is Sold and Shipped by Newegg. Only the Thermal Take is sold and shipped by Newegg, all the others are buy the Brand. Is that a problem or should I be ok? Any other thoughts on these let me know. This is the most I've spent on a PC. This 8930 from 8yrs ago I think was around $1600.

Is the Intel Ultra 7 265k minimum 3.3ghz with or without overclocking?

Don't bash me too hard if it's a dumb question. I'm still figuring out overclocking and the Intel's letter series. I'm looking into buying a Dell Tower Plus Desktop and for the processor I'm looking at the Ultra 7 265 or 265K. K is for overclocking which I don't plan on doing since you need to know what you're doing and how it can heat up inside. The 265 says 1.8-5.3ghz and the 265k says 3.3-5.5ghz. Is that ghz boost on the K if you have it overclocked? Or does overclocking not effect the ghz? I'm doing a custom build Dell and not sure which to go for. For an extra $100 would it be worth the boost to get K?

CRV Store said only #1 bottles are CRV, the #1 plastics are not so they won't take it, tho it says #1

After about 15 years, I started recycling to turn in for cash. I just went to the CRV Only Store to recycle my #1 plastics PET & PETE. I had a mix of bottles and food container plastics. All were #1 PET or PETE. They said the containers are not CRV. They said people get confused because it does say in the triangle 1 but it is not a CRV 1. So they took my bottles but said the others are considered trash. I didn't know. So, that was disappointing. Had (6) 30 gal. bags of those mixed plastics and less then half were bottles. Meaning maybe 2-3 of those bags were refundable. I got $10 for 6.9lbs at $1.46/lb. Not sure if it is worth recycling plastics. I'd have to collect 6-7 of those 30gal bags just for maybe $20-$25? Takes up space. Not sure if it's worth it.

At least it is not as heavy as the 135lbs of glass I took in about a year ago. Only got $35 for that. A lot of weight to haul for $35 bucks and those take up space. Mostly wine bottle size and smaller. That's just not worth it for me. So, those I'll put out for the less fortunate people around here. They'll take them. I'll probably do the same for the plastics.

I mostly recycled cans before, so those you get the best value for. I squash them so I can fit more in the bags.

So, is that true? You can only get a refund for the #1 bottles and not the other #1 plastics?

Purchasing New Dell Comp. Is $240 worth upgrade from 5060ti-to-5070?

Hello Everyone,

I'm am certain so far that I would like to buy the Dell Tower Plus Desktop. I'm not sure about the upgrade of the graphics card. Is it worth it to upgrade the Geforce RTX 5060ti 8gb to the RTX 5070 12gb? 4 more GB's of VRAM sounds good, but us it worth the +$50 +$240? Dells custom build for this model says it would require the 750w chassis for $50 to upgrade from the 5060ti to the 5070. I do some gaming, would like to do more gaming if time in my life permits. So far, I'm looking at around $2,000 for this Dell model. I'm don't have money pouring out of me but I am willing to "invest" if it is reasonable. What do you all think?

This is the 4th time in a month I have got this message. I'm on my computer and all of a sudden this pops up. I click enter to proceed and it takes me to a recovery page and I just click the first option which is to restart the comp. Sometimes when it restarts it will say that there was an unexpected problem and needs to be diagnosed. Then it would say couldn't fix the problem so I would just restart it and it would all load fine and be normal again.

In the picture, the link starts with E:\Windows, which I think means it is a problem with the E drive. On the other picture, I don't see an E Drive. Could there be a separate partition on the C that would be labeled E? I think when you set up partitions on a new drive you can label them by letter? I've only done that once or twice. The main OS drive is C and that is an SSD M.2. The D is an HDD and H is a SDD. All internal drives. Computer is about 8 years old. So what is this E:\Windows error string and I don't see an E drive? I don't know if it is hardware or software problem.
